Abstract

Teachers play an important role in learning. As a professional teacher, supervision is needed to improve the implementation of the teaching process. The purpose of this literature review is to examine and analyze the impact of academic supervision on improving teacher performance. The method in this study was carried out by reviewing related articles about academic supervision and teacher performance. The research sample was focused on the Google Scholar search engine with academic guidance and teacher performance as the main research constraints and then identified. The results of the article review show that most of the role of academic supervision is very influential in improving teacher performance. Therefore, effective academic supervision requires the will of the principal to plan, implement and evaluate supervision. Purpose: The purpose of this literature review is to examine and analyze the impact of academic supervision on improving teacher performance. Methodology: The review process begins with a search engine, Google Scholar, to find articles with keywords. "The Effect of Academic Supervision in Improving Teacher Performance". Results: The results of the analysis show that most of the articles focus on the impact of supervision on improving teacher performance. Limitations: The limitation of this study is that it only discusses the supervision of the principal on teacher performance. Contribution: This research is useful for the scope of educational organizations, especially as an evaluation material for teachers and school principals

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of writing this journal is to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance in the Kepulauan Riau Education Office, the effect of work discipline on employee performance in the Kepulauan Riau Education Office, the influence of communication on employee performance in the Kepulauan Riau Education Office. Methodology: This type of research is quantitative research, namely research methods based on positivism philosophy, used to examine certain populations or samples. Results: The results showed that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Kepulauan Riau Education Office. This can be seen from the significant transformational leadership (X1) 0,000 <0.05. And the value of thitung is greater than ttabel (3,925 > 1.99394), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Kepulauan Riau Education Office. This can be seen from the significant work discipline (X2) 0.021 <0.05. And the value of thitung is greater than ttabel (2,353> 1,99394), then H0 is rejected and H2 is accepted. Communication (X3) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Kepulauan Riau Education Office. This can be seen from significant communication (X1) 0.025 <0.05. And the value of thitung is greater than ttabel (2,289> 1,99394), then H0 is rejected and H3 is accepted. Transformational leadership, work discipline, communication jointly significantly affects employee performance variables because the Fhitung value is 1563,214 which is greater than Ftabel of 2.73. And a significant level of 0,000> 0.05.

Abstract

Purpose: Through the BCCT method it is directed to build a variety of children's knowledge by building and creating their own through a variety of experiences in learning activity centers so as to bring out children's creativity. Methodology: This study uses a type of qualitative research with a case study design. Researchers first determine the informants who will be asked for information or information. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique. The technical steps of the Miles and Huberman model analysis consist of data collection, data reduction, data display (data display), and the process of drawing conclusions (conclusion drawing). Results: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of the beyond centers and circle team method in the PAUD learning process is carried out by carrying out lesson preparations in the form of daily learning implementation plans (RPPH) which refer to semester programs and weekly programs, arrangement of materials and play tools to be used in centers. Contributions: Learning the BCCT (Beyond Centers and Circle Time) Model in PAUD Banjarmasin City is center learning that is carried out in a moving class and has followed the implementation procedure according to the BCCT model which includes lesson planning teachers have not prepared RPPH as a reference for implementing learning that has a positive or negative impact. negatively, in the implementation the teacher has paid attention to the order of the children's playing steps and in the evaluation, the teacher uses various techniques and forms of learning evaluation.

Abstract

Purpose: The unemployment rate as well as the labor force indicate the large number of people who must be included in the development process. This shows that the dynamics of the development process must be able to involve the entire work force, meaning that a large number of work force can become a burden for economic development. Apart from education, another aspect that influences the unemployment rate is the unequal distribution of income (gini ratio). Inequality in income distribution is a problem of differences in income between the richest and the poorest individuals. The greater the income gap, the greater the variation in income distribution. This study aims to obtain quantitative "evidence" regarding the effect of education and the gini ratio on the unemployment rate. Methodology: Based on the research objectives, this research is a quantitative research with the type of explanatory research, which will explain the causal relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable through hypothesis testing. The type of data used in this study is secondary data. The secondary data used is in the form of a time series from 2013 to 2017. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Based on the research results it is known that (1) Education partially has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate in South Kalimantan. This means that education can reduce the number of unemployed in accordance with the theory of human capital, therefore education is one of the factors that needs to be improved so that the quality of human resources increases and has competitiveness; (2) The Gini ratio (income inequality) partially has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate in South Kalimantan. This means that when income inequality is high, the unemployment rate will also increase.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to find out how the discourse on gender equality in the family in the film "Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini". Methodology: The research is qualitative in nature using the Norman Fairclough critical discourse analysis method which consists of three dimensions, namely text (micro), discursive practice (meso), and social praxis (macro). The data analysis technique uses observation or direct observation by watching films repeatedly, supported by relevant data so that scenes depicting gender injustice in the film "NKCTHI" can be found associated with Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis. Results: The results of this study through three-dimensional critical discourse analysis, it was found that there is gender inequality in the family caused by the domination of power and the authoritarian role of the head of the family in each other family members related to patriarchal culture.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parenting styles on juvenile delinquency that occurred at the Al-Fattah Islamic boarding school, Sukoharjo, in 2023. Methodology: This type of research uses quantitative methods with survey research types. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire given to the students of the Al-Fattah Islamic Boarding School. Result: The results of this study indicate that the level of influence of parenting, namely variable X, has an influence on juvenile delinquency, namely variable Y. It is proven from the results of the t test, namely with a significance level of 0.007 <0.05. Limitation: This study has limited research space so that the data obtained and the analysis are more focused on the topics that have been determined. So the limitation of this research is to examine the influence of the parenting style of students at the al-Fattah Sukoharjo Islamic boarding school in 2023. Contribution: This research has many contributions to parents in educating their children and is an academic development for the science of child education.

Abstract

Purpose: Adolescence is a phase that will certainly be experienced by an adolescent, which is characterized by biological, psychological, and social changes. According to The World Health Organization (WHO), the prevalence of people with emotional and mental disorders in the world reaches 16% with vulnerable ages 10-19 years starting at the age of 14 years. Adolescents with a high level of self-esteem tend to demonstrate positive qualities and behaviors. Parent parenting has a very important role in determining the nature and behavior of an adolescent. The implementation of effective and appropriate parenting styles contributes to the development of a high level of self-esteem in children. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between parenting styles and self-esteem among adolescents at SMA Negeri 2 Gading Rejo. Methodology: The quantitative research method employed a Cross-Sectional Research Design, and the sampling technique was Cluster Random Sampling. Additionally, the data collection technique employed a Likert scale questionnaire. The sample of this study was 78 respondents. Results: The bivariate analysis in this study utilized the chi-square test, yielding a correlation coefficient of 0.050 (<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between parents’ parenting and adolescent self-esteem at SMA Negeri 2 Gading Rejo. It is expected that parents can provide appropriate and effective parenting so that children have a personality that can respect themselves and others.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine and analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Teaching Assistance Program for the Merdeka Belajar Campus Merdeka (MBKM) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) University of Riau at the MA Darul Hikmah School Pekanbaru in an effort to improve the quality of learning and graduates in the tertiary environment and to identify the obstacles that arise. arises from the implementation of Teaching Assistance for study programs that have participated in implementing the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM).Methodology/approach: This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with observations and interviews with students who have carried out teaching assistance in an Independent Campus Learning Program.Results/findings: This study found that the implementation of teaching assistance for the Merdeka Belajar Campus Merdeka program with the aim of improving learning and the quality of graduates in its implementation was quite good. This is proven by the experience of students who gained experience in teaching, controlling the class, preparing syllabi and lesson plans, preparing learning media, and carrying out work programs that must be achieved during the program.Limitations: The obstacles in implementing Merdeka Belajar Campus Merdeka include socialization and interaction with students' understanding of teaching assistance and support program facilities that are not yet optimal.Contribution: This research is useful as an input and material for improving the system for implementing teaching assistance for the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM) to improve it in the future.

Abstract

Purpose: The objective of this study is to examine the patriarchal society of Disney’s Cinderella using patriarchal analysis. Cinderella is a well know adaptation of the fairytale. Although seemingly a harmless cartoon about princess, it actually has a harmful representation of a patriarchal society. Methodology/approach: Descriptive qualitative and library research methods were used to analyze and describe the quotations and transcripts based on the Kate Millet theory of sexual politics.  Results/findings: From the research, two signs of patriarchal society are depicted: (1) the ideological sign where every male character in the movie thinks of women as something to be subjugated at and to be married to continue the family line. (2) Psychological signs where the female character including Cinderella is accepting their traditional role as home maker and not making any effort to escape the patriarchy Limitations: This study depicted many signs of patriarchal society in the film, but this discussion is limited only into two clear signs of patriarchal society Contribution: Hopefully, this analysis can contribute to the field of film, literary studies, and sociological perspectives.

Abstract

Purpose: This article aims to determine students' ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an using the talaqqi method at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Abbasiyah Teluk Pinang, Gaung Anak Serka District. Research methodology: The informants in this research were 1 teacher of tahfidz Al-Qur'an and 91 students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Abbasiyah Teluk Pinang, Gaung Anak Serka District who took tahfizh Qur'an subjects. The instruments used in this study were tests and interviews. Tests and interviews were conducted to assess the students' ability to memorize the Koran using the Talaqqi method. The data analysis used by the researchers was conducted by Milles and Hubermen, where the steps used were data reduction, data display, and data verification. Results: The results of the research found that students' ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an through the talaqqi method at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Abbasiyah Teluk Pinang, Gaung Anak Serka District was very good, this can be seen in the total number of scores obtained by students in the Al-Qur'an memorizing ability test was 7,981/ 91 = 87.70% and is categorized as very good, because the figure 87.70% lies in the interval 81% - 100%. Based on the research results, we conclude that the ability of students to memorize the Qur'an through the talaqqi method in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Abbasiyah Teluk Pinang, Gaung Anak Serka District is very good because 87.70% lies in the interval 81%–100%, as seen from the test results. carried out by teachers and students in tahfizh Qur'an learning activities, students can read and memorize the Qur'an fluently, their memorization is in accordance with their tajwid knowledge, and their memorization is also in accordance with makharijul letters and fashah. Limitation: Some children whose abilities are still weak because their reading of the Qur'an is not yet fluent. Contribution: Madrasah Tsanawiyah in the Indragiri hilr district has a Tahfizh Qur'an program.
