Abstract

This study aims to simulate the flood potential of the Way Balau River, Bandar Lampung City, using rainfall data from the GPM-IMERG satellite and HEC-RAS software. The analysis uses a log-normal distribution for rainfall, a rational method for discharge calculation, and water level simulation is performed at STA. 301. The results show that a 0.5 m high embankment on the left side is capable of withstanding a 5-year return period discharge, but in the 25, 50, and 100-year return periods, there is overflow on the right side with water heights of 0.16 m, 0.25 m, and 0.33 m, respectively. This study recommends increasing the capacity of the embankment on the right side of the river to mitigate the risk of long-term flooding.

Abstract

This study simulates flood potential in the Nunyai River, Bandar Lampung City, using GPM-IMERG satellite rainfall data from 2014–2023. A normal distribution was applied to estimate design rainfall, which was then converted into flood discharge using the rational method. The HEC-RAS 5.0.6 simulation results indicate that five river cross-sections are unable to accommodate Q10–Q100 discharges, leading to overflow on the left, right, or both sides. These findings highlight the need for river normalization and levee reinforcement at vulnerable overflow points.

Abstract

Building Information Modeling (BIM) represents a technological advancement in the modern era that continues to develop, particularly in the construction industry, by supporting planning and capital management. One of the software applications that can be used to support BIM is Autodesk Revit. The objective of this research is to compare the results of cost estimation for building structures using conventional methods and BIM, applied to a type 400 residential house project located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan Province, within the Grand City housing area. The study focuses on calculating structural work costs, highlighting significant differences in structural components, particularly in reinforcement and concreting work. The findings indicate a cost difference of 16.82% in reinforcement work and 12.7% in concreting work, resulting in an overall budget estimation discrepancy of 15.62%. Based on these results, this study concludes that the use of BIM is highly necessary for identifying and evaluating cost estimation in building or construction planning from the perspective of project planners.

Abstract

Jalan Tol Tangerang–Merak merupakan infrastruktur strategis yang berperan dalam mengurangi kemacetan serta meningkatkan kelancaran distribusi barang dan jasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kedatangan kendaraan, waktu pelayanan, antrian kendaraan, serta kebutuhan jumlah gardu pada gerbang tol, baik kondisi eksisting maupun proyeksi 10 tahun mendatang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif melalui survei lapangan, pengumpulan data sekunder, dan analisis dengan teori antrian FIFO serta standar pelayanan minimal jalan tol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas gardu tol eksisting tidak lagi mencukupi untuk melayani pertumbuhan volume kendaraan. Pada Gerbang Tol Serang Timur, jumlah gardu masuk perlu ditingkatkan dari empat menjadi enam dan gardu keluar dari lima menjadi tujuh. Sementara itu, pada Gerbang Tol Serang Barat, gardu masuk perlu ditambah dari lima menjadi tujuh dan gardu keluar dari empat menjadi enam. Simulasi antrian menunjukkan bahwa tanpa penambahan gardu, intensitas pelayanan akan melebihi kapasitas optimal (p>1), yang berpotensi menimbulkan kemacetan pada jam sibuk dan musim liburan. Berdasarkan analisis, penambahan jumlah gardu tol merupakan langkah penting untuk menjaga kelancaran arus lalu lintas dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dalam jangka panjang. Sistem ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan transparansi dan keamanan proses pelayanan berbasis digital.

Abstract

Kondisi perkerasan jalan yang baik sangat penting dalam mendukung kelancaran transportasi, kenyamanan berkendara, dan keselamatan pengguna jalan. “Penurunan kualitas perkerasan jalan yang disebabkan oleh kerusakan struktural maupun fungsional dapat menimbulkan gangguan kelancaran dalam berlalu lintas dan meningkatkan biaya pemeliharaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikas dan mengklasifikasikan tingkat kerusakan perkerasan pada Ruas Jalan, Kota Palembang menggunakan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Metode ini dipilih karena dapat memberikan penilaian kuantitatif berdasarkan jenis dan tingkat keparahan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan survei lapangan yaitu dengan mencatat jenis kerusakan seperti lubang (potholes), alur (rutting), pelepasan butiran (ravelling), maupun tambalan (patching). Investigasi menunjukkan bahwa lubang merupakan jenis kerusakan yang paling dominan, dengan peringkat PCI rata-rata 84,25, yang dikategorikan Sangat Baik. Meskipun demikian, beberapa bagian jalan berada dalam kondisi di bawah standar, terutama yang berada di antara STA 0+200 dan 0+300, sehingga memerlukan perbaikan rutin. Sebagian besar jalan masih dalam kondisi baik. Pemantauan dan perbaikan rutin sangat penting untuk mencegah kerusakan lebih lanjut. Sehingga dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan program pemeliharaan jalan yang lebih akurat, efektif, dan efisien.

Abstract

Concrete quality is highly influenced by the curing process, including the type of water used, as it affects cement hydration. This study compares the effects of using seawater and freshwater on the compressive strength of concrete, with eight cylindrical specimens (four cured with seawater and four with freshwater) tested at 28 days in accordance with SNI standards. The results show that concrete cured in seawater achieved an average compressive strength of 18.88 MPa, which is higher than that of concrete cured in freshwater (14.94 MPa). This increase is presumed to be due to the presence of Ca2+, Mg2+, and SO42- ions in seawater, which accelerate cement hydration, although the Cl- content remains a concern due to its potential to cause reinforcement corrosion. This study contributes to the utilization of seawater as an alternative curing medium in coastal regions where freshwater is scarce, while emphasizing the need for further research to assess the long-term effects on structural durability.

Abstract

Urban development and rapid population growth have led to an increase in traffic volume on major roads, including the intersection of Airan Raya Street and Jatimulyo. This intersection serves as an alternative route to Metro City and is one of the key links between Bandar Lampung City and South Lampung Regency. Due to the high frequency of vehicles passing through this location, traffic congestion often occurs. The dense traffic flow affects road performance and increases the risk of both accidents and congestion. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the intersection using the PKJI 2014 Method, which takes into account factors such as capacity, degree of saturation, delay, and level of service. To determine the peak traffic volume, a traffic survey was conducted over three days — Saturday, May 10; Thursday, May 15; and Monday, May 19, 2025. Data evaluation was performed using PKJI 2014 analysis techniques. The results show that on Saturday, May 10, between 07:00–08:00, the highest traffic flow occurred, amounting to 5,938 vehicles per hour (equivalent to 2,402.2 seconds per hour after conversion). The degree of saturation (DS) was 0.8836, indicating that the intersection’s capacity needs to be reassessed to prevent more severe congestion. The level of service was categorized as C (moderate) with an average delay of 15.2298 seconds/skr and a queue probability (QP) ranging from 31.3410% to 61.8522%. This study provides a foundation for policy formulation and traffic engineering strategies at unsignalized intersections with high traffic density, supporting efforts to improve road performance and reduce congestion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop a decision-making system for selecting construction service providers through the e-purchasing mechanism (construction e-catalog) for construction works, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The AHP method is employed to identify and rank criteria as well as alternative construction service providers based on weighted assessments derived from factors such as technical requirements, price, company experience, financial capacity, and supplier relations. The use of the construction e-catalog as a medium for selecting service providers is expected to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the government procurement process. The results of the study indicate that technical requirements (weight: 0.296) are the most crucial factor in selecting construction service providers. This highlights the importance for providers to pay special attention to technical requirements, which include two key components: managerial personnel and main equipment. Managerial personnel must be competent in carrying out construction works, while physical company resources, such as reliable heavy equipment and high-quality materials, are essential to ensure optimal performance.

Abstract

Perkembangan wilayah perkotaan seperti Kota Cilegon berdampak langsung pada sistem drainase, terutama akibat perubahan tata guna lahan yang menyebabkan peningkatan limpasan permukaan. Salah satu wilayah yang ter dampak adalah simpang KH. Wasyid Lingkar Selatan, yang sering mengalami banjir saat hujan deras. Masalah ini umumnya disebabkan oleh kapasitas saluran drainase yang tidak sebanding dengan debit limpasan yang dihasilkan. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi kinerja sistem drainase eksisting dan memberikan rekomendasi perancangan ulang saluran menggunakan perangkat lunak Storm Water Management Model (SWMM). Data curah hujan maksimum harian selama sepuluh tahun dianalisis menggunakan distribusi Log Pearson Tipe III untuk menentukan curah hujan rancangan. Nilai-nilai ini kemudian digunakan untuk membuat kurva Intensitas–Durasi–Frekuensi (IDF), dan perhitungan debit dilakukan menggunakan metode rasional. Hasil analisis digunakan sebagai masukan dalam pemodalan SWMM untuk mensimulasikan kondisi saluran eksisting dan skenario perbaikan. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi, debit puncak tertinggi terjadi pada periode ulang 25 tahun, yaitu sebesar 2.122 m³/detik, sementara kapasitas saluran yang ada tidak memadai untuk menampung debit tersebut. Hal ini mengakibatkan luapan di beberapa titik simpul saluran. Setelah dimensi saluran dalam model diperbaiki, kinerja sistem meningkat secara signifikan. Oleh karena itu, SWMM terbukti efektif dalam mengevaluasi dan mendesain ulang sistem drainase secara teknis, spasial, dan kuantitatif.

Abstract

Baros Road, located in Serang Regency – Banten, is an important roadway that frequently experiences flooding during heavy rainfall. This study was conducted to evaluate the capacity of the existing drainage system, which is suspected to be unable to accommodate surface runoff, and to provide technical recommendations for its improvement. The methods employed included primary data collection through channel dimension surveys and secondary data in the form of annual maximum rainfall from the Merak Maritime Meteorological Station for the period 2015–2024. The design rainfall analysis was carried out using the Log Pearson Type III method, yielding a maximum rainfall of 378 mm for a 25-year return period. Rainfall intensity was then calculated for various durations and used in flood discharge calculations with the rational method. The highest discharge was recorded at approximately 2.95 m³/s, while the lowest was around 1.78 m³/s. A hydraulic simulation using HEC-RAS software showed that all STA (100–1000) under existing conditions were unable to contain the flood discharge, with water surface elevations exceeding channel elevations by up to 1.3 m. After improving channel dimensions and increasing bed slope, the re-simulation results indicated that all channels could accommodate the discharge, with a positive margin of up to 0.5 m between channel elevation and water surface. This study concludes that the Baros Road drainage system requires technical upgrades to anticipate peak discharges caused by extreme rainfall, thereby ensuring smoother transportation and minimizing damage to road infrastructure.
