Abstract

AbstractThe use of plants as natural flavorings for generations has been used by the community in Ensaid Panjang Village. Natural flavoring is more in demand by the community because it is safe for consumption, then easy to process and certainly comes from the forest area around the village. The purpose of this study was to provide information on the diversity of natural flavoring plant species found in the forest area of Ensaid Panjang Village, Sintang Regency. The research method used was a survey method to determine the research location, with data collection through exploration and for interviews using the snow ball method. The analysis was carried out through identification of morphological characteristics of plants, and citation analysis and percentage use of plant parts. The results of the study found 12 species and 10 families, the highest citation value of 100% there were 7 species and the lowest citation value of 42% was type The percentage of use of plant parts was leaves (59%), fruit (25%), flowers (8%) and root crops (8%).The conclusion is that efforts to conserve natural flavoring plant habitats and forest area ecosystems in Ensaid Panjang Village must be handled appropriately by the manager, considering the use of natural flavoring plants is one of local wisdom that is not only socio-cultural but also a form of efforts made by local communities in conserving natural resources. Keywords :Natural Flavor Plants, Forest Area, Long Ensaid Village.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, the agricultural sector is a sector that is strong enough to face economic shocks and is still a mainstay in regional economic recovery The agricultural, forestry and right wing sector in 2020 continued to grow postively by 1,95 % when the economy contrasted by 1,07 % (BPS, 2021). The large contribution of the agricultural sector to the econmy of North Sumatera is also indicated by the role of the agricultural sector in employment.The aim of this study are : 1. Cabbage production has a positive and significant effect on the volume of cabbage export from North Sumatera Province to Malaysia.2. Malaysia’s real GDP has a positive and significant effect on the volume of cabbage exports from North Sumatera Province to Malaysia. 3. The rupiah exchange rate against the Malaysian ringgit has a negative and significant effect on the export volume of cabbage from the province of North Sumatera to Malaysia. 4. The export price of cabbage has a positive and significant effect on the volume of cabbage exports on the volume of cabbage exports from Indonesia.This research will be published in a nationally acrcredited journal : Quality University Agrotechnoscience journal.

Abstract

Gulma merupakan tumbuhan yang mengganggu atau merugikan kepentingan manusia sehingga manusia berusaha untuk mengendalikannya. Keragaman gulma dipengaruhi oleh kondisi lingkungan. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi keragaman gulma pada tiap lokasi pengamatan, seperti cahaya, unsur hara, pengolahan tanah, cara budidaya tanaman, serta jarak tanam atau kerapatan tanaman yang digunakan berbeda serta umur tanaman jeruk tersebut. Spesies gulma juga dipengaruhi oleh kerapatan tanaman, kesuburan tanah, pola budidaya dan pengolahan tanah. Analisis vegetasi digunakan untuk mengetahui gulma-gulma yang memiliki kemampuan tinggi dalam penguasaan sarana tumbuh dan ruang hidup. Penelitian ini Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuadrat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan cara membuat 12 plot pada empat lahan komoditi pertanian yang berbeda yaitu jagung, ubi kayu,kacang tanah dan paria. hasil analisis vegetasi gulma dengan metode kuadrat yang dilakukan di lokasi penelitian diketahui bahwa gulma berdaun sempit lebih dominan dilihat dari SDRnya dibandingkan jenis gulma berdaun lebar yang terdapat  pada tanaman paria, kacang tanah dan jagung.

Abstract

Active ingredients or also known as activators have an important role in  decomposition process of materials during composting. The active ingredient acts as a catalyst that breaks down the lignocellulose contained in the main ingredients of compost into simpler chain. In this research, the active ingredients used in the composting process are Beta and Eco Farming. The advantages of these two active ingredients in addition to acting as active ingredients are also rich in nutrients needed by plants. The nutrients produced from this decomposition process will be compared with the established standard, namely the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 19-7030-2004. The results of the analysis showed that the macronutrient content of the two active ingredients in the pellet compost product made from cow feed was in accordance with the standards set with the values of nitrogen (>0.4%), phosphorus (>0.1), and potassium (>0, 2). the c-organic content is in the standard range that has been set (9.8%-32%). The percentage of water content is below the maximum water content that has been set (50%). The acidity level (pH) for pellet compost with Beta active ingredients is in the standard lifting range with value of 7.17 while pellet compost with Eco Farming active ingredients has a pH of 7.88 which is close to the maximum standard value of 7.48. The number of C/N ratio is still higher than the standard set so that it takes a longer time in the fermentation process so that the appropriate number is obtained.

Abstract

The creative economy is a form of human activity related to creativity and innovation in the development of a product. In order for the products produced to develop properly, a management is needed. Management is needed to organize and coordinate the factors of production to increase the value and benefits of a product or service that is produced efficiently, through the use of knowledge and skills. The product management system used in the development of the creamy cassava business in Pancur Batu Village, North Sumatra, is by providing new innovations to the products it produces in terms of variants and shapes. With this new innovation, processed cassava products can continue to survive in the market until now. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of creative economy products processed by cassava on people's welfare. This type of research was field research or often known as field research. The nature of the research used was descriptive qualitative and in this study used an inductive way of thinking using primary and secondary data sources. The goal was to be able to describe the Management of Creative Economy Products on Community Welfare. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study it could be concluded that the existence of a creamy cassava business in Pancur Batu Village, North Sumatra, had a positive impact. Because for the people of Pancur Batu apart from creating prosperity by reducing the number of unemployed, this business could also increase family income and the income of the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the agricultural sub-sector in North Sumatra Province which is the basis for economic growth and to analyze the factors that cause changes in the position of the agricultural sector in North Sumatra Province. This type of research was a case study with a quantitative description approach. The data used and processed were secondary data from 2018 to 2022. The data analysis techniques used in this research are Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), a combination of LQ and DLQ and Shift Share. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the agricultural sub-sector which was the basis sub-sector for the economy of North Sumatra Province during the 2018-2022 research year, namely food crops, horticulture, livestock, plantations and fisheries. Factors that cause changed in the position of the plantation sub-sector are economic structure factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the growth response and yield of mustard greens (Brassica rapa L.) by administering liquid organic fertilizer and the right concentration to increase so as to get the best growth and best yields of mustard plants. This research was conducted in August 2022 in the village of Raya Village, Berastagi District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province, at an altitude of 1,300 asl. The method used in this study was an experimental method, with a simple randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 repetitions, namely: (P0 = without POC (0 ml/l water), P1 = POC 5 ml/l water , P2 = POC 10 ml/l water, P3 = POC 20 ml/l water, P4= POC 30 ml/l water, P5= POC 40 ml/l water). The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer with different concentrations had an effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, average fresh weight and dry weight of mustard plants. Giving POC with a concentration of 40 ml/L of water gave the best results for mustard plants, namely producing plants with the highest wet weight compared to other treatments, namely 716.31 gr and dry weight, namely 53.31 gr

Abstract

EC measurement tool has been made on soil fertility based Arduino Uno microcontroller ATmega328. These devices use voltage sensors, and amperes. This measuring instrument consists of the unit UNO Mmikrokontroler ATMega 328, SD Card, Volt, Ampere, and RTC. Early research methods include the design, manufacture and testing of devices. After testing this device will monitor the Volts, amperes, which will be converted EC, the test is still in the prototype in the soil resistivity measuring box and conducted testing on the moisture content (8%). This prototype tool is equipped with a data logger system as a measurement data storage to SD card. Data storage is done every 5 seconds and in this study conducted for 2 hours. A thorough soil Sample is sandy loam soil.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the added value of green bean Luwak Coffee in the Kawa Gayo home industry in Central Aceh Regency with Luwak coffee powder ready for consumption. The research method used is a case study using the Hayami analysis method. The sample is determined purposively (purposive sampling), in which the researcher relies on his judgment when selecting members of the population to participate in the study. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the added value in the Kawa Gayo home industry for Luwak coffee powder is more significant than for Luwak coffee green beans with an added value of IDR 41,675. However this is not followed by the added value ratio of Luwak coffee powder variant which is smaller than the green bean luwak coffe on value added ratio of 30.96%. The business scale of the supporting costs that still exist using third parties in production is a factor that affects the added value of processing Luwak coffee grain into Luwak coffee powder in the Kawa Gayo home industry which has yet to be maximized. Home industry obtains higher profit on the Luwak coffee powder variant than the Luwak coffee green bean variant with a profit value of Rp. 37,595. However total of the profits in the home industry from the Luwak coffee green bean variant is higher than the Luwak coffee powder variant with Rp. 1,400,250 profit value. The demand for a variant greatly affects the total profit of Kawa Gayo home industry.

Abstract

Karo Regency has several superior commodities, such as tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, red chilies, potatoes and mustard greens. The price of these commodities fluctuated due to shocks in demand and supply. Shock demand and supply cause price volatility in these superior commodities. Therefore, research was carried out by analyzing the retail price volatility of superior commodities in Karo Regency. Analysis of the volatility of commodity retail prices can illustrate the size of the risks that will be faced by economic actors in the future. The aim of the study was to determine the volatility of the retail price of Karo Regency's leading commodities such as tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, red chilies, potatoes and mustard greens. This research method uses the ARCH method with the ARIMA estimation model. The data used is secondary data from the karo district market service. The results showed that the volatility analysis was carried out on the 1st difference data, the estimation of the ARIMA model for tomatoes was carried out on ARIMA 5.1.1, cabbage 2.1.1, carrots 6.1.1, potatoes 0.1.1, red chilies 2.1.1 and mustard greens 1.1.1. All ARIMA models for these commodities have an ARCH effect, and based on the ARCH estimation model, cabbage and red chili show parameters > 1, while tomatoes, carrots, potatoes and mustard greens show parameters < 1. In conclusion, cabbage and red chilies have very high price volatility, while tomatoes, carrots, potatoes and mustard greens have low price volatility.
