Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the implementation of literacy culture to increase learning outcomes in the material of the scope of biology of class X SMA Negeri 4Jayapura.The method in this study is furpossive sampling method and data collection techniques that will be used in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire), namely data collection techniques carried out by giving a set of questions or written statements to respondents.The results of this study are partially literacy culture does not have a significant effect on learning outcomes of the material scope of biology because based on the results of simple regression test obtained t count <t table (0.075 <1.960) or significant t> 5% (0.940> 0.05) with regression equation Y = 72,958 + 0.007 X3 with a contribution or relative contribution of 0.00%. There is an increase in the learning outcomes of the biological scope of class X students of SMA Negeri 4Jayapura, where the average n-Gain test is obtained at 0.52 in the medium category.  Keywords: Implementation, Culture, Literacy, Biology.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effectivenessproblem based learning model (PBL) using student worksheet on learning outcomes and students’critical thinking skills on the teaching Reaction Rate. The population in this research was grade 11th of SMA Negeri 6 Medan. Classes sample was taken by random sampling, and two classes were selected as a sample. Those two classes will be taught with Problem Based Learning model, the difference is the first class will be used students worksheets and the other class is not. The instrumentto conduct this researchwas  by test and non-test. Based on parametric statistical test, the result of pretest, postest, and students’ critical thinking skills data from those two classes have a normal distribution and homogeny. Hypothesis was tested by using one tailed test with significant level ( ) =0,05. The data from hypothesis testing learning outcomes is tcal  ttable (3,101 1,669), means Hois rejected and Ha is accepted. Hypothesis testing result on students’ learning outcomes using student worksheets is higher than the non-using student worksheet. Critical thinking hypothesis test is tcal  ttable (4,754 1,669), means Hois rejected and Ha is accepted. Hypothesis testing result oncritical thinking using student worksheet is higher than the non-using student worksheet. Contribution of students’ critical thinking to the ups and downs of learning outcomes on the experiment class is 81,5%.

Abstract

This research is a type of Research and Development research that aims to develop a guided inquiry-based module that integrates scientific literacy in thermochemical material. The subject of this research is an integrated inquiry-based module on scientific literacy. The object of this research is thermochemical material. This study refers to the Borg and Gall steps but is limited to 5 steps or stages. The steps begin with data and information collection, planning the development of guided inquiry-based modules, initial product development, initial field trials, and revision of test results. The module that has been developed is validated by 3 material expert validators and 3 media expert validators. Then, the module was tested on 2 teachers and students of class XII-IPA 4 totaling 34 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Syahbandar to see the attractiveness of the module with the data collection method using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that the guided inquiry-based module integrated scientific literacy on thermochemical material was declared feasible after being validated by obtaining an average percentage of material experts of 84.92% with a feasible category and an average percentage of media experts of 84.93% with feasible category. The average percentage of teacher responses of 93.45% with a very interesting category and the average percentage of student responses of 82.52 % with a very interesting category.

Abstract

Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik pada konsep metabolisme dengan penggunaan tipe STAD dan tipe TGT berdasarkan minat dan keaktifan belajar peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Sentani. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, diimplementasikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan tipe TGT terhadap peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sentani yang terdiri dari 100 orang. Objek penelitian adalah hasil belajar metabolisme dari masing-masing tipe pembelajarandan observasi keaktifan peserta didik diperoleh dari angket minat pada masing-masing tipe pembelajaran dan observasi keaktian peserta didik selanjutnya data yang terkumpul dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t test dan teknik korelasi product moment  dari pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT lebih efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar dibandingkan tipe STAD. Berdasarkan hasil analisis nilai rata-rata pembelajaran TGT pada pengujian pertama kelas aktif   TGT  = 76,04 >   STAD = 59,19 begitu pula pada pengujian kedua  TGT  = 79,87 >   STAD = 66,50. Demikian juga untuk kelas kurang aktif nilai rata-rata pengujian pertama  TGT  = 71,19 >   STAD = 54,25 dan pada pengujian kedua  TGT  = 72,33 >   STAD = 63,93. 2). Tidak terjadi hubungan minat dengan hasil bealajar peserta didik baik di kelas aktif maupun di kelas kurang aktif. 3). Tidak terdapat hubungan antara keaktifan belajar peserta didik dengan hasil belajar baik di kelas aktif maupun dikelas yang kurang aktif.          Kata Kunci: STAD, TGT, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

A research has been done to determine the relationship between the leadership of Pricipal and Teacher Professionalism Attitudes to Science achievement of IX Grader of Junior Adventist Academy. The method used in this study is the correlation method with a target of the population of the of Junior High School Adventist Timika. The population is a bout 150 students and the number of research samples is 32 students. The result shows that there is a significant relationship between the leadership of principal with the science learning achievement of Junior High School the IX graders and the effective contribution 76,7%, there is significant relationship between the teachers professionalism with the science learning achievement of Junior High School the IX graders and the effective contribution 76,7%, there is a significant relationship between the leadership of principal and the techers professionalism with the science learning achievement of Junior High School the IX graders and the effective contribution 76,7%. The results of this study are expected to be useful in improving the quality of school leadership and teacher professionalism, as principal leadership and teacher professionalism can significantly increase student achievement. Abstract

Abstract Research on Identification of Beneficial Plant In West Sentani Community Life as a Learning Resource Materials Science On Plant Diversity Seventh Grade Students of SMP One Roof Sabron sari. This study aims to: 1). To find out how to use the environment as a learning resource; 2). To identify herbs used in the West Sentani community life; 3). To determine student interest in learning to identify plants around the school: 4). To determine the students' skills in identification. This research is a qualitative research. Methods or techniques of data collection conducted a descriptive one that is interactive. The results showed that: 1). By way of using the environment as a learning resource can provide a real experience, direct and attractive to students, through a collection of plants were obtained. 2). By way of directly observing and comparing the characteristics of plants that used sentani western societies are able to decide 4 Division, Grades 5, 20 Nations, 24 tribes, 29 Marga, and 30 types of plants. 3). The increased interest of student learning 75.11% by using the environment as a learning resource IPA. 4). 67.16% of students skilled in identifying plants scientifically and correctly. The benefits that can be taken by students is that students can take advantage of the environment as a learning resource, it can identify the types of plants are found, learning and student skills in the use of the environment as a learning resource in both categories.Keywords: Identification of Plants, Plant helpful and Junior High School Students One RoofSabron Sari class VII

Abstract

Geophysical research on geoelectric method configuration schlumburger has been carried out in Sentani Kota area, Jayapura district to analyze the depth of groundwater aquifers. The data consisted of seven points measurement spread in Sentani Kota areas namely Kampung Harapan, Hawaii, Kampung Sereh, Kompleks 751, Pasar Lama, Doyo Baru, and Kampung Toware. The data obtained was done by processing data with IP2WIN software, and then made a subsurface profile likes log. Based on data processing, the results obtained showed that in Kampung Harapan the potential groundwater aquifer was found with a resistivity value of 18 Ωm at a depth of > 17.9 m. In the Hawaiian area potential groundwater aquifers are found with resistivity values of 8.92 Ωm at a depth of 64.7 m. In the Kampung Sereh area potential groundwater aquifers were found with resistivity values of 14 Ωm at a depth of 24 m. In the complex area of 751 a depressed groundwater aquifer is found in two layers with a third layer resistivity value of 106 Ωm at a depth of 13.3 m and a fifth layer 81.8 Ωm at a depth of >28.6 m. In the Pasar Lama area groundwater aquifers were found with resistivity values of 102 Ωm at depths > 17.4 m. In the Doyo Baru area, a potential depressed groundwater aquifer was found with a resistivity value of 50.1 Ωm at a depth of 123 m. And in the Kampung Toware a potential groundwater aquifer is found with a resistivity value of 11.5 Ωm at a depth of >27.7 m. From the results of the study, in the Sentani City area, groundwater aquifers were arranged by lithology of sandstone.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of developing an integrated science module and student learning outcomes using an integrated science module based on guided inquiry on food additives. Research Methods Research and Development. The research sample was carried out in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 1 Sentani with a total of 30 students. The results showed that the feasibility of an integrated science module based on guided inquiry on food additives in the category of very suitable for use as teaching materials and improving student learning outcomes with the n-Gain test obtained an average of 0.74 in the high category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pembelajaran langsung, (2) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dalam bunga uang yang memiliki motivasi tinggi, menengah, dan miskin dalam pembelajaran, (3 ) ada interaksi model pembelajaran dengan tingkat motivasi seberang hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok eksperimen, sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Sampel penelitian adalah 54 siswa. Instrumen terdiri dari tes dan kuesioner motivasi. Untuk mengumpulkan data dari hasil belajar siswa setelah mereka melakukan tes dan hasil dari kuesioner motivasi. Semua data dianalisis dan diuji oleh uji statistik univariat parametrik (ANAVA) dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 16.0. Dari tiga hipotesis yang diajukan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada yang berbeda secara signifikan antara model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan model pembelajaran langsung, nilai sig 0,014 <α 0,05 adalah, (2) ada signifikan interaksi antara hasil belajar siswa bunga uang dengan tingkat motivasi siswa dalam belajar, nilai sig 0,013 <α 0,05, (3) tidak ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan tingkat siswa motivasi, nilai sig 0.601> α 0,05.Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, hasil belajar siswa, uang bunga, Motivasi belajar
