Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the effectiveness of Android-based learning media on student learning outcomes in thermochemical material; (2) Student responses to the use of Android-based learning media on thermochemical material; (3) The learning outcomes of students who are taught using Android-based chemistry learning media are the same as the KKM value. This research was conducted at Public High School 5 Medan with a total sample of 68 people. The research instrument consisted of standardized tests and questionnaires. The analytical techniques used are: (1) Two-party t test (Independent Samples T test); and (2) One Sample Test. From the results of this study, it was found that: (1) Anroid-based chemistry learning media was effective on student learning outcomes on thermochemical material, with a t-test of 7.063 which was greater than t-table of 2.00. Then based on the Gain Score, the t-test of 6.843 was obtained, which was greater than the t-table of 2.00; (2) Student responses "Very Interesting" with percentages of 92.27%, 93.93% and 92.12%, respectively, on the use of anroid-based learning media in thermochemical material; (3) The learning outcomes of students who are taught using android-based chemistry learning media are not the same as the KKM value, where , tcount (2.126) > ttable (2.032), means that it has a positive effect on KKM

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the application of guided discovery learning models based on lesson study for community learning on student learning outcomes. The type of research that pseudo-experiments use with research design is pretest-postest control group design. The population consists of students of class X MIPA at public high school 1 Padang. Sample selection is carried out by random sampling techniques, and selected sample classes, namely X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 4. The instrument used in this study is a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions consisting of 20 questions with 5 answer options. Data analysis techniques use n-gain tests, normality tests, F tests and hypothesis tests (t tests). The average learning outcomes of students of the experiment and control classes were 81, and 72, respectively,.The level of influence of LSLC-based guided discovery learning models is analyzed through n-gain test scores. From the results of the study obtained an n-gain score in the experimental class of 0.74 with a high category while the control class was 0.61 with a medium category. At the significance level of 0.05 indicates the value of tcount (2.746) > ttable (1.995). So that the implementation of a guided discovery learning model based on lesson study for community learning has a problem with improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

Fertilizer is an organic fertilizer derived from animal manure in the form of solid, liquid, and food scraps mixed together. One example of this type of manure is manure from cow dung. The purpose of this study was to identify soil pH in three different locations, namely Komba, Koya and Youtefa, Jayapura Regency. This research was carried out in the life sciences lab of the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Marine Affairs, University of Ottow Geissler Papua. The method in this research is the experimental method. Soil samples were taken from different locations, namely Koya, Komba, and Youtefa. The parameters observed were soil pH, the data were processed descriptively. The results showed that there were differences in the quality index of the soil pH at each location, which tended to be acidic, namely in the Komba area, the soil pH was 6.62, Koya the soil pH was 6.22, and in Youtefa the soil pH 7.18

Abstract

The world is currently faced with a covid-19 pandemic that forces people to move at home, including the world of education that carries out teaching and learning activities from home using online learning. This research aims to find out the causes and ways to overcome the learning difficulties of students of class X MIPA 4 Public High School 1 Kota Sorong on math learning using microsoft teams during the covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative descriptive combined with qualitative approaches. The subjects of this study were students of class X MIPA 4 Public High School 1 Kota Sorong school year 2020/2021 which amounted to 26 students and 1 math teacher. The object in this study is the cause of students' learning difficulties using microsoft teams on math learning provided by teachers. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study are qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that students experienced several causes of learning difficulties that were divided into 4 (four) indicators, students' inability to learn online, interaction in the learning process, assignments and teaching materials and technical constraints on online learning using microsoft teams

Abstract

Potassium is a macro nutrient element that is needed by plants. Potassium plays a role in plant metabolism, maintains turgor, and forms stronger stems. Sadly. Potassium is easily lost through washing because it is easily soluble in water. This is what triggers plants to often experience a lack of potassium. Efficiency in the use of potassium fertilizers can be increased through the formulation of fertilizers made in the form of slow release (Slow Release Fertilizer), namely by controlling the solubility of the substance in water through fertilizer coating. The purpose of this study was to determine the potassium content obtained, the largest mass of SRF fertilizer, and the pattern of potassium release in the soil after being bound by acid-activated bentonite in the manufacture of potassium sulfate SRF. Coating of potassium sulfate with bentonite was carried out with a mass of 10 bentonite; 20; 30; 40; and 50 grams with a mass of 10 grams of potassium sulfate. Total potassium levels were analyzed by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The results of the analysis of potassium levels obtained the levels of each SRF fertilizer with the code SRF 10: SRF 20: SRF 30: SRF 0; and SRF so respectively 4.41: 5.49: 6.06: 6.54; and 7.01 mg/g with the maximum concentration obtained from SRF sa fertilizer. Furthermore, the potassium release test was carried out using the percolation method with distilled water for potassium sulfate-bentonite SRF fertilizer with a ratio of 10:50. release test using time variation every 1 week period for 1 month. As a result, the average potassium level was obtained, namely 11.51; 38.33; 51.37; and 72.24% w/b. Based on the results of this release test it is known that potassium. experience a slow release pattern in the soil.

Abstract

Practical activities are an important part of chemistry education. The chemistry practicum faced a variety of issues, including a lack of school facilities for performing the practicum and improperly managed chemical waste. As a reason, the research aims to develop and validate the feasibility of a green chemistry-based laboratory manual, as well as to assess how students and teachers respond to the final product. Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model was employed as the research methodology. The reaction rate is the subject of this study. The laboratory manual developed is very feasible to implement in chemistry learning, according to the results of the analyzed data. Media expert lecturers provide an average score of 90 percent (very feasible) and material expert lecturers provide a score of 93,9 percent (very feasible). Students and teachers responded enthusiastically to the developed laboratory manual, with an average student reaction of 85 percent (very good) and a teacher response of 93,4 percent (very good).
