ABDIKAN (Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Bidang Sains dan Teknologi) diterbitkan 4 (empat) kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan Februari, Mei, Agustus dan November oleh Yayasan Literasi Sains Indonesia. Jurnal ABDIKAN didedikasikan untuk mempublikasi hasil-hasil kegiatan Pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh Mahasiswa, Dosen dan seluruh lapisan Masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan hasil pemikiran dan gagasan konseptual, serta tentang kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dengan berbagai potensi, hambatan, tantangan, dan permasalahan yang ada di lingkungan masyarakat dalam bidang sains dan teknologi.

<![CDATA[The management of the waste bank in Cilutung hamlet is carried out as a solution to reduce the volume of waste which is already very large. Increasing the population in the Cilutung hamlet is accompanied by an increase in the volume of waste in the Cilutung hamlet. It is not only waste that has an impact on the environment but also the disposal and decomposition system of the community which can cause environmental damage and become a problem point in the Cilutung hamlet. The main objective of the processing of the GELISAH waste bank is to be the main solution in achieving the main target of the hamlet to be better. Waste bank processing is carried out to improve village development and a clean environment in Cilutung Hamlet through the GELISAH socialization (Waste Care Movement). Socialization is about waste bank management, waste utilization, types of waste, good use of organic waste against maggot, utilization of ECOBRICK waste from plastic bottle waste. The end result of this work program is reducing the volume of waste and establishing a waste bank in the Cilutung hamlet, and increasing public awareness and concern for village development and a clean environment around it.]]>

<![CDATA[Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence or AI) is a field that is growing rapidly and has great potential in influencing various aspects of human life. AI education is important for the younger generation in facing future challenges. This study aims to teach the basics of AI to junior high school (SMP) students at Sekolah Lentera Harapan (SLH). Learning sessions are carried out using interactive methods and actively involve students in discussions. The material includes an introduction to AI, the history and purpose of AI, how it works, the types of AI, and the advantages and disadvantages of AI. AI needs data to come up with appropriate answers, and with time, it will learn and improve. There are three types of AI, namely Artificial Narrow Intelligence (limited AI), Artificial General Intelligence (general AI), and Artificial Superintelligence (super AI). The advantages of AI include fast data processing, job efficiency and handling of dangerous tasks. However, there are also drawbacks such as reliance on big data, limitations to the specific capabilities of AI, and security concerns. This research provides insight into AI and promotes optimal use of AI in society.]]>

<![CDATA[Identification of phytochemicals is an important preliminary test that pharmacy students need to know and understand. As is known, that natural ingredients are an important aspect that plays a role in herbal medicine. One of the most prominent uses of plants is as a medicinal ingredient. In determining the traditional use of natural materials, it is necessary to know which groups of chemical compounds are contained in natural materials. Chemical compounds contained in natural products are grouped into alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, saponins, steroids and terpenoids. To determine the class of compounds in natural products, it is necessary to carry out preliminary tests quickly, namely by testing phytochemicals. Phytochemical identification training is aimed at STIFI Bhakti Pertiwi Palembang students who conduct field studies at Anai Land, Padang Pariaman Regency, Padang, West Sumatra. This field study activity is held as a support for natural product chemistry lectures. Phytochemical testing was carried out in groups guided by each. Students who have received training can carry out phytochemical testing of natural ingredients as a provision for final project research.]]>

<![CDATA[In community service activities, the State University of Malang is now partnering with Sambigede Village, Sumberpucung District, Malang Regency, East Java. Sambigede Situated within the beautiful landscape of the region, this village is characterized by its serene environment and close-knit community. With a population primarily engaged in agriculture and small-scale enterprises, Sambigede retains its traditional charm while gradually embracing modern developments. One of the livelihoods of the residents in Sambigede Village is farming, especially cattle and goats. Therefore, the need for grass for animal feed is increasing. One of the obstacles faced by the residents of Sambigede Village is the feed preparation time, especially during the grass-chopping process still uses the manual method. So if the grass takes a long time and energy. This problem can solve by using Appropriate Technology (TTG) for grass-chopping machines to help the role of residents in the grass-chopping process. It's hoped that after the grass-chopping machines, the residents of Sambigede Village can further improve the quality of livestock feed and increase the effectiveness of time during the grass-chopping process.]]>

<![CDATA[The empirical utilization of plants as traditional medicine is still limited to making herbal decoctions which are rather long and on average taste bitter. The development of the utilization from medicinal plants in the form of health drinks that are easy to consume and taste acceptable to the public is still very low. Plant materials that are widely used include kencur in the form of herb beras kencur, temu lawak in the form of herb temu lawak. Therefore, this activity is to improve the health status for the community and increase the economic independence of the community by entrepreneurship with health drinks that are made from natural ingredients with innovative processing. The method that used in is counseling and hands-on practice of making, labeling products. The target audience is people whose daily activities are small entrepreneurs. The results obtained from this activity are increasing knowledge about the utilization of natural ingredients as health drinks, knowledge of SPP-IRT licensing regulations, and processing practices for making, packaging and labeling health drink products in the form of instant beras kencur, instant temu lawak and temu lawak syrup that have worth to sell.]]>

<![CDATA[The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has reached most schools, one of which is at SDN 003 Lubuk Sakat. One of the differences between this curriculum and the previous curriculum is the learning of Natural Sciences (IPA) and Social Sciences (IPS) which are integrated into Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). To achieve interactive and meaningful learning for students, the application of media in the form of learning videos was carried out in class V (five) SDN 003 Lubuk Sakat. This activity was carried out for one meeting in the second week of the odd semester on the material of light and its properties. The steps taken include licensing with UPT SDN 003 Lubuk Sakat, preparing materials in learning videos, and implementing teaching and learning activities with learning videos. The attitude of students was enthusiastic and became more confident in expressing their respective opinions. Quizzes at the end of the lesson in the form of C2 and C3 questions showed that students understood the material of light and its properties and its application in everyday life.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service research has a very important aim, namely to improve the ability to understand the concept of adding whole numbers in elementary school students through the use of addition tables in mathematics learning. This method can be an effective step in improving understanding of complex mathematical concepts at the basic level. Basically, mathematics is a subject that requires a strong understanding of concepts from an early age, especially in whole numbers. This service uses the addition table method which utilizes drawing an addition table on the blackboard. With this car, students can see directly how the process of adding integers is carried out in a more structured form. The research location at SD GMIT 034 Wolwal with subjects totaling 21 class I students, shows that this activity was carried out involving all students in that class. This provides a more accurate picture of the effectiveness of the tabular addition method in improving students' understanding of the concept of adding whole numbers. This method follows 6 well-designed stages, which help students understand the concept of addition in a step-by-step manner. The results show that a personal approach through addition tables provides significant benefits in mathematics learning, especially at the elementary level. The use of media such as addition tables can motivate students to learn mathematics better and understand concepts in more depth, strongly preparing them to understand more complex mathematical concepts in the future.]]>

<![CDATA[Websites are usually used as a means of conveying or searching for information, for example in the field of borrowing library books. In the development of technology, students are not enough just to be users but must understand more or less how to create websites. Currently, the Medan 4 Methodist school has never implemented practical learning in creating websites, they have only studied Microsoft Office. With the development of technology, schools should have introduced ways of creating websites at the high school level which can later be applied to the school environment and outside the school environment. After holding discussions with the Medan Methodist 4 High School, they needed a complete briefing on the basics of creating a website. This Community Service is a solution to answer the challenges posed by the Medan 4 Methodist High School. This service will provide training to several high school students to become proficient in creating websites. The priority issues include improving skills in website applications, creating students who are skilled in creating website applications. This training can increase students' knowledge regarding creating library websites which can later be improved to create a book lending website at the Medan 4 Methodist School library. This should be overcome with a website-based library information system, because with a website-based information system library data management can be more effective so that the circulation of book loans can be well documented and more effective. With this training, students will be able to contribute a website to the school as their creation.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service activity provided counseling to 24 class XII IPA1 students at Mater Dei High School, Pamulang sub-district, South Tangerang municipality. The counseling aims to know, understand and understand the use of PLTS using solar cells which produce a direct/DC output voltage to supply light bulbs when they are on. The counseling method for students to understand PLTS scientific material is theoretically presented in the classroom for 90 minutes. Then proceed to find out and understand the benefits of PLTS using solar cells to produce output voltage to supply light bulbs when they are on outside the classroom. The extension activity of illuminating the surface area of solar cells with sunlight outside the classroom for 90 minutes is carried out by five (5) students per group taking turns accompanied by members of the extension team with the aim of practical knowledge and understanding. Each group of students takes an average of 16 minutes to shine sunlight on the surface area of the solar cell which produces electrical power when the light bulb is on or off. The results of the implementation of counseling on the condition of the light bulb is on, the voltage value on the lamp load is Vb(lamp) = 4.46 volts when bright sunlight shines on the surface area of the solar cell. Then, if the light bulb does not light up, the voltage value on the light load changes to 0.351 volts, when sunlight is blocked or blocked from reaching the surface area of the solar cell. The results of the outreach activities were 24 students responding to six (6) questions with multiple choice answers listed on the questionnaire form that had been prepared. A total of 23 people chose useful answers to the content of the material presented, a total of 22 people chose interesting answers to questions about the material presented by the speaker and as many as 21 people chose useful answers for the entire extension activity event.]]>

<![CDATA[Prevalence of stunting in children in Indonesia at the national level is around 37%. Various efforts are made to reduce and prevent the incidence of stunting, one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. One of One of the micronutrients that is important for child growth is iron. Lack of iron deficiency can cause stunting and impaired cognitive development in children. children. Iron is found in many foods, including watermelon. At Some people dislike the consumption of fruit directly. This becomes a challenge in itself where there needs to be an effort to process watermelon fruit into a dosage form that is favored by children, namely soft candy. One of one of the main ingredients for making soft candy is gelatin which needs to be considered its halalness. Therefore, there is assistance in making watermelon soft candy as halal nutrition to meet the iron needs of children as an effort to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa. to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, Madiun City. The method in this activity begins with a pretest, then socialization and workshops, and ends with a posttest. The pretest results showed that only 9.09%, while the posttest results were 54.55% of residents who understood the knowledge and process of making halal watermelon soft candy for making halal watermelon soft candy for stunting prevention nutrition. This shows an increase in community knowledge after attending socialization and workshop looks different.]]>
