Abstract

Antibiotics are one of the drugs that have a role to protect and restore health from infectious diseases (Anief, 2010). Antibiotics are chemical substances produced by microorganisms that have the ability to inhibit the growth and even kill other microorganisms. At this time the community still uses a lot of antibiotics, especially dry syrup preparations. Dry syrup is a dry syrup preparation and needs the addition of water and needs to be cornered when you want to use it. Improper use of dry syrup can cause the drug to not function optimally. Non-optimal use of antibiotic preparations can cause harm, one of which is the occurrence of antibiotic resistance. Antibiotic resistance is a condition where bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites are unable to be killed by antibiotics. This resistance occurs when bacteria become resistant to antibiotics that were initially effective for treating infections caused by these bacteria. Therefore, this activity aims to educate the public about the use of antibiotics to minimize unwanted effects. The implementation method used is counseling sharing knowledge about dry syrup preparations containing antibiotics. Counseling includes the efficacy of anti-biotics, how to use, side effects, how to store properly. The target audience is the guardian of MI Ar Roudhoh Jember students.

Abstract

The liquid product resulting from fermentation of leftover vegetables and fruit that is still fresh and not rotten for approximately 100 days has the characteristics of being brown in color, has an aroma like vinegar or fresh sourness and a very acidic pH, namely less than 4. This fermented product contains acertic acid and lactic acid and is a natural antimicrobial source, so it has antibacterial and anti-fungal capabilities. This antibacterial activity can inhibit the activity of bacteria that cause tooth decay such as L.acidophilus and S.mutans bacteria so it can be used as a mouthwash. The wound healing process can be accelerated due to the presence of antibacterial compounds by stimulating the body's immune response. So that this fermented liquid can be used as a wound medicine. Community service activities in the form of counseling, practice of making fermented liquid and providing ready-made products are topics carried out at RT 07 LK IV, Timbangan Indralaya Utara, Ogan Ilir Sumatera Sealatan. The counseling participants were mothers and young women, estimated to be 15 - 25 people. To make it easier for the extension participants to understand and the aim of the activity to be achieved, a demonstration was carried out on making fermentation liquid, harvesting F2 products with mint leaves for gargling and distributing the product. The extension participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity, seen from the many questions asked.

Abstract

Kraton Village is one of the villages in Jember Regency, precisely in Kencong District. Kraton Village has a population of 10,534, and 1,756 of them are households. Kencong District has several villages, including (1) Kraton Village, (2) Cakru Village, (3) Paseban Village, (4) Kencong Village, and (5) Wonorejo Village. Kraton Village itself consists of several hamlets, namely (1) Krajan Hamlet, (2) Sidonganti Hamlet, (3) Muneng Hamlet, and (4) Kedunglangkap Hamlet. A brand is a name, term, sign, symbol, design, or a combination of these that is intended to identify the product or service of a person or seller and to differentiate it from competitors' products or other similar products. Understanding brand awareness. Brand awareness is the ability of consumers to recognize or remember that a brand is a member of a certain product category. So in a business, the name or label becomes as important as the identity of a product. Service activities have been completed and reported in the form of an article in January 2024. The results of the implementation of this service generally help in the process of optimizing the food business in Kraton Village, both online and conventionally. With this program, food businesses are not only invited to sell products and market them online but are also invited to create innovative, creative products that can generate consumer interest in buying these products.

Abstract

Soil testing is very important in the development planning process, especially to assess the strength and stability of the soil as a foundation base. Improper soil conditions can result in structural damage to buildings. Therefore, soil testing is necessary to provide optimal foundation recommendations, ensuring the safety and sustainability of the building. This information is needed to provide recommendations for appropriate foundations, especially in the context of church construction which often has large and heavy structures. This research aims to evaluate the characteristics of the land around the MRII Church in Ambon City with a focus on the use of sondir technology. This activity covers the importance of a deep understanding of the physical properties of soil in the context of planning and construction of church buildings. The testing method involves the use of mechanical sondir to measure soil characteristics and map subsurface geological structures. Test results show significant variations in characteristics around the church location, with the possibility of rock layers or geological changes that have the potential to affect the construction of the church building and surrounding infrastructure. Based on factual data and sondir testing (CPT) in the field, a drilled pile type foundation is recommended. However, the recommended results can be changed or supplemented with other technical information/data considering that sondir testing cannot directly show the condition of soil layers. It is best to carry out further testing with Hand Boring, NSPT Drilling and laboratory testing to obtain more accurate soil conditions and supporting parameters.

Abstract

 Counseling students at SMK Negeri 3 South Tangerang City who have motorbike competency technical skills is very important to understand and understand the function of the alternator from motorbike equipment for generating electrical energy. The source of electrical energy in automotive motorbikes generally comes from a power plant using an alternator (alternating generator) to supply electrical loads, including the electrical load of charging the battery. Implementation of outreach activities is carried out for students in class . The counseling method for class for 90 minutes understand and comprehend in a tutorial the operation of equipment designed to build a power plant using an alternator. The final result is understanding and comprehending the implementation of the counseling given the opportunity to write class comments for 30 minutes on the google classroom page. It was found that 17 students wrote class comments on the results of counseling on the design of power plants using alternators.  abstract must be a minimum of 150 words, and a maximum of 300 words, using Indonesian and English in italics with Times New Roman 10. The abstract must be clear, providing a brief overview of the problems and solutions to community service problems. The abstract contains the background or importance of the topic of community service, objectives of community service, service partners; service methods, and a summary of results and conclusions. The abstract ends with comments about the importance of the service results or a short conclusion.

Abstract

Enterobiosis in children remains a serious public health problem in many developing countries, including Indonesia. The epidemiology of Enterobiasis disease shows a high prevalence especially in areas with poor sanitation and limited access to health services. The pathophysiology of Enterobiasis disease involves infection with parasitic worms such as Enterobius vermicularis which can cause various health complications in children, including anemia, impaired growth, and impaired cognitive development. Service activities carried out by providing advice/support to Enterobiosis patients are considered through self-history, home visits by adopting a holistic and comprehensive family medicine approach. The aim of patient counseling/support is to increase awareness of the disease and improve the quality of life of the patient. The results of service activities and home visits show that patients have a better understanding of their disease and the level of compliance with treatment and healthy living behavior, which affects the success of treatment. Comprehensive treatment with a family medicine approach is needed to identify problems in various ways, support the success of therapy, and improve the quality of life of patients.

Abstract

Hands are exposed to many microorganisms because human activities are dominated by hands. Therefore, hands are the most common place to transmit disease. Maintaining hand hygiene means maintaining health. School age children are known to be very active, therefore they are susceptible to various infectious diseases. At the same time, school age is the right time to provide health education about maintaining health. Maintaining hand hygiene is a simple and easy way to do it but has a big impact, namely maintaining overall body health. The implementation of community service activities is based on health promotion. The activity stage is preparation with the school, while the implementation stage is providing health education followed by a demonstration and re-demonstration of the correct way to wash hands to students in grades 1 and 2 of Watdek Elementary School, Southeast Maluku. At the end of the activity, the service team handed over a poster of steps for washing hands to the teacher to be placed in each class near the hand washing station. Hopefully this activity can build the habit of maintaining hand hygiene which will be implemented at all times by students at Watdek Elementary School, Southeast Maluku, to support their health

Abstract

Technological developments are taking place increasingly rapidly, thereby changing the order of life in various aspects. This can also be seen from one of the government's efforts to integrate the independent campus independent learning program which has the aim of bringing students to become competent learners in the 21st century. Therefore, Community Service activities are carried out which have the aim of equipping Ibnu Sina IT Middle School Teachers. in applying ICT to learning. The ICT applied in learning is in the form of gamification-based microlearning with word walls. The method used in this activity is training and was carried out from August to September 2023. This training was carried out in 5 activity stages including: (1) observation, analysis of the situation and conditions of partners; (2) planning, in the form of providing solutions to problems faced by partners and preparing activity guide modules; (3) socialization of activity plans, distribution of activity guide modules, and things that need to be prepared in implementing training; (4) training and mentoring, namely the implementation of training in the form of an overview of microlearning, gamification and wordwall, which is then provided with mentoring in the wordwall; (5) monitoring and evaluation, in the form of usefulness of training, effectiveness and efficiency in implementation. Based on all stages of activity, the results are that teachers are able to use and implement gamification-based microlearning with wordwalls in learning.

Abstract

Bananas are one type of plant that many people plant in their yards or gardens. Banana trees consist of parts that have very high utility value, one of which is the banana stem. Banana stems have high nutritional value and can be processed into snacks for the family. Mothers who are members of the WKRI organization, KRSA Mopah Lama Merauke Branch, are invited to become skilled in utilizing natural ingredients available around them to make nutritious food for the family and can increase the family's economic income. Training on processing banana stem waste into crispy gedebog is one form of activity in order to improve the skills of WKRI women in processing natural waste which is very beneficial for the family. The method used in this activity is socialization about the benefits of banana stem waste and its nutritional value and direct training or practice in making crispy gedebog. The results of this training show that there is a transfer of knowledge to WKRI mothers. This was shown by the enthusiasm of the mothers in participating in the training activities through various questions asked of the presenters and their involvement in joint practice. This training adds new skills for WKRI women in managing banana stem waste into nutritious food for the family and can be used as innovation in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

PT. Kurnia Putra Maduma (KPM) is an electrical contractor company that provides high-quality solutions in Indonesia. Despite offering superior services, KPM faces challenges in providing easy access to information for customers. This community service project was conducted at the headquarters of PT. Kurnia Putra Maduma at Jl. Jaya II No. 23A, Sudirejo II, Medan City, North Sumatra, from April 2024 to May 2024, with the goal of developing a website to improve information access for customers and enhance company communication efficiency. The project stages included planning, where the development team collaborated with KPM staff to identify needs and determine the website design; website development based on feedback from the planning phase; testing and evaluation to ensure the website functions as expected; and staff training in the use and maintenance of the website. The results of this project show that the developed website successfully provided easier information access for customers and supported more efficient communication. The website features an organized structure, responsive design, and performs well across various devices and browsers. Staff training also effectively ensured their ability to manage and update content independently. In conclusion, the website successfully addressed the information access challenges at PT. Kurnia Putra Maduma and supported the company's communication efficiency. Recommendations include regular content updates, SEO optimization, performance monitoring, enhanced security.
