Abstract

Marriage in Indonesia is not merely considered a social or legal bond, but also a sacred institution strongly shaped by spiritual and religious values. This study aims to explore the role of religiosity in predicting marital quality through a systematic literature review (SLR). A total of 15 journal articles published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed, each focusing on the intersection between religiosity and marital dynamics. The findings indicate that religiosity demonstrates a positive correlation with marital satisfaction, happiness, and long-term commitment. Religiosity functions as a moral foundation in building household harmony and an adaptive mechanism to overcome various marital challenges such as conflict, economic pressure, and personality differences. Religious values encourage spouses to foster mutual respect, forgiveness, and loyalty, thereby maintaining the stability and harmony of the relationship. Consequently, religiosity emerges as a central factor in achieving sustainable marital quality and resilience. This review highlights the role of religiosity in strengthening marriages in Indonesia and offering insights for both researchers and practitioners in family and social studies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of price and service quality on customer loyalty at Dira Balung, a family tourism destination located in Jember, Indonesia. The research is motivated by the growing competition in the tourism sector, where price perception and service quality are critical in shaping customer loyalty. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 94 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that both price and service quality significantly influence customer loyalty, with service quality demonstrating a more dominant effect. Fair and reasonable pricing enhances customer trust and repeat visit intention, while service quality dimensions such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy play a major role in sustaining customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, the interaction between price and service quality creates a synergistic effect that strengthens overall loyalty. The practical implications of this study emphasize the necessity for Dira Balung’s management to consistently integrate competitive pricing strategies with high-quality service standards to foster long-term customer relationships and ensure sustainable business growth. These results provide valuable insights for tourism managers in developing customer retention strategies in similar service-based industries.

Abstract

The Musi River is the longest river in Sumatra Island with historical significance as a maritime trade route from the Sriwijaya Kingdom era to contemporary times. This research analyzes the transformation of the Musi River's function from a historical-ecological perspective and its impact on coastal communities. The study employs a qualitative approach with historical-descriptive methods through literature studies, field observations, and in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that the Musi River has experienced significant ecological degradation due to industrial pollution and domestic waste. Water quality parameters such as BOD, COD, and heavy metals exceed environmental standards. This transformation has caused economic degradation through declining fishery productivity, changes in fishermen's livelihoods, and loss of traditional maritime trade functions. Coastal communities face economic pressure, health problems, and limited access to clean water. Sustainable management of the Musi River encounters complex challenges including weak environmental law enforcement, limited waste treatment infrastructure, and low community participation. An ecosystem-based management approach integrating ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects through multi-stakeholder collaboration is required for the revitalization of the Musi River.

Abstract

Preservation as a Service for Trust (PaaST) is an innovative approach to digital archive preservation that integrates technical, policy, and audit functions into a trust-based managed service model. Given the increasing volume of digital data and the risks of format degradation and cybersecurity, PaaST exists to ensure the authenticity, integrity, and trustworthiness of long-term archives. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to identify trends, practices, and challenges in PaaST implementation from 2019 to 2025. The literature search process was conducted on various academic databases and institutional documents related to digital preservation standards such as OAIS (ISO 14721), ISO 16363 trusted repository certification, and the application of cryptography and blockchain technology for authenticating archives. The review results indicate that the managed digital preservation service model is increasingly being adopted by large archives and libraries because it is considered efficient, secure, and sustainability-oriented. The use of fixity check mechanisms, digital signatures, and timestamping (both blockchain-based and non-blockchain-based) has been proven to improve data integrity and the evidentiary value of archives. However, key challenges remain: financial sustainability, compliance with standards, and limited technical resources in small institutions. This article emphasizes the importance of synergy between technology, institutional policies, and long-term governance in PaaST implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the axiological values in the Indonesian language, the function of Indonesian as a national identity, and the axiological function of language in the life of the nation and state. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature review of various literatures. The data collection technique uses a literature review (library research). The data sources of this study come from books on the philosophy of science, scientific articles indexed by Sinta, and national journals relevant to the theme of language, values, and national identity. Data analysis is carried out through several stages, including collecting relevant literature, the process of coding texts containing social, cultural, and moral values, then categorizing themes according to the types of values found, followed by philosophical interpretation, and ending with drawing conclusions regarding the position of the Indonesian language as an axiological entity. The results of the study indicate that the Indonesian language has three main dimensions of value, namely social values, cultural values, and moral values. The social value of the Indonesian language is evident through its role in building togetherness, equality, and unity. Its cultural values are manifested in the preservation of local wisdom, cultural richness, and diversity, while its moral values are reflected through the use of polite, honest, and ethical language. Furthermore, Indonesian serves as a medium for education, the development of knowledge, and the expression of national ideology, affirming national identity.

Abstract

One of the Javanese traditions that still survives today is the village cleaning tradition, which is maintained and preserved by the residents of Wedoro Village, Sidoarjo Regency, amid the rapid pace of modernization. This study aims to analyze the meaning of the village cleaning tradition in relation to the social behavior of the community and to identify preservation strategies that have been implemented to ensure that it remains relevant in this day and age. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method involving eight informants consisting of community leaders, teenagers, and residents of Wedoro Village, Sidoarjo Regency as subjects, while data is obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that the meaning of the village cleaning tradition is not just an annual ritual, but also contains religious and social values, such as expressions of gratitude, prayers for safety, respect for ancestors, and strengthening solidarity and mutual cooperation. Preservation strategies are carried out through the active participation of the younger generation, adaptation to community culture, creative innovations that do not eliminate the core values of tradition, embracing residents through existing institutions, and encouragement from parents. These findings are linked to Talcott Parsons' AGIL theory, which emphasizes adaptation to the tide of modernization, the achievement of goals in the form of togetherness and prosperity, integration through the strengthening of social solidarity, and the maintenance of patterns by preserving and passing on cultural values as a whole.

Abstract

The service industry sector has faced a sharp structural shift in the post-pandemic era, giving rise to new challenges for employee health and well-being policies and direct implications for organizational productivity. Therefore, this study aims to identify current research trends and synthesize empirical findings to formulate a comprehensive conceptual model. The method employed is a Systematic Journal Review (SJR) with a bibliometric analysis approach. Data were obtained from a search of 400 scholarly articles in the Google Scholar and Scopus databases covering the period 2020–2025, which were then visualized for trend mapping. The visualization results indicate that employee well-being and productivity constitute the main topic clusters with the highest density and connectivity. The literature synthesis confirms that comprehensive health policies, supported by adaptive leadership, significantly enhance psychological well-being, which in turn serves as a mediator for improved work performance. Research trends also highlight the relevance of remote work and work-life balance issues in the context of the service industry. It is concluded that employee well-being is a crucial strategic predictor for sustaining organizational productivity in the service sector amid dynamic work environment challenges.

Abstract

One year before the 2024 General Election, the General Elections Commission (KPU) released a politically educational film entitled “Kejarlah Janji” directed by the renowned filmmaker Garin Nugroho. The film is presented in a comedy-drama genre, portraying the intricacies of village head elections and conveying numerous political moral messages. Specifically, the KPU targeted the screening of “Kejarlah Janji” to first-time voters by organizing joint viewing events at various schools and universities across Indonesia. This article aims to examine the responses of first-time voters, in this case students of SMKN 5 and SMAN 10 Bandung, toward the moral messages conveyed in the film “Kejarlah Janji”, as well as to assess their knowledge regarding the 2024 General Election. To analyze this phenomenon, the author employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on the Social Judgment Theory, which assumes that individuals categorize messages they receive into three possible attitudes: acceptance, rejection, or non-commitment. The results of the qualitative data analysis indicate that first-time voters, specifically students of SMKN 5 Bandung, perceive both positive and negative moral messages from the film and tend to accept these moral messages. However, the film’s moral messages do not appear to correlate with first-time voters’ knowledge or awareness of the voting procedures. Some participants admitted that they lacked understanding regarding the voting process in the 2024 General Election. These findings suggest that the moral messages of “Kejarlah Janji” can be effectively received by first-time voters, yet they do not necessarily enhance their procedural knowledge of the election.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the world’s fastest-growing industries and a major driver of social, cultural, and economic transformation. In Bali, Indonesia, sustainable tourism increasingly relies on integrating local wisdom, gender inclusion, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. This study explores Quantum Hospitality as an emerging framework that combines cultural intelligence, emotional-spiritual values, digital innovation, and sustainability principles. It examines the roles of Balinese women in cultural tourism, the application of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, and the effectiveness of Pentahelix collaboration (government–academia–business–community–media) in promoting sustainable cultural tourism. A qualitative systematic literature review of 65 global and regional studies published between 2015 and 2024 reveals that Balinese women serve as cultural transmitters, entrepreneurs, and leaders in community-based tourism. Tri Hita Karana provides an ethical foundation for balancing human, environmental, and spiritual relationships. Comparative insights from Bhutan, Thailand, and Costa Rica demonstrate that Bali’s integration of spirituality, women’s empowerment, and multi-stakeholder governance is unique and replicable. The study recommends strengthening gender-responsive tourism programs, standardizing Quantum Hospitality practices, and developing sustainability frameworks adaptable to diverse global destinations.
