Abstract

Dismenorrhea is a medical condition characterized by severe uterine pain during menstruation that manifests as cyclical lower abdominal pain. Dismenorrhea is classified into primary dismenorrhea in the absence of pathology and secondary dismenorrhea in the event of an identifiable pathological condition. About 40-70% of women of childbearing age suffer from dismenorrhea accompanied by associated psychological, physical, behavioral, and social distress. This is the main cause of the decline in the quality of life of adolescents. The pathophysiological process due to increased myometrium activity caused by excessive production of prostaglandins that cause ischemia. Risk factors are very important in enforcing the diagnosis of dismenorrhea and also in distinguishing between primary and secondary dismenorrhea. Mainstay treatment is generally supportive by relieving symptoms in primary dismenorrhea and surgical treatment may be recommended for secondary dismenorrhea. Therefore, patients with primary dismenorrhea may only require simple non pharmacological and analgesic therapies, whereas patients with secondary menorrhea require treatment for major problems.

Abstract

Pregnancy is an event that begins with conception and ends with the onset of labor. Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters, the first trimester (0-12 weeks), the second trimester (13-27 weeks), and the third trimester (28-40 weeks). During the pregnancy process will cause various changes in all body systems, both physiological changes and psychological changes that can cause discomfort to pregnant women. Physiological changes that often occur in pregnant women such as dyspnea, insomnia, gingivitis, frequent urination, pressure and discomfort in the perineum, back pain, constipation, varicose veins, fatigue, Braxton hicks contractions, leg cramps, ankle edema. Not only physiologically, changes in pregnant women also occur psychologically such as changes in mood and increased anxiety. One of the physiological changes that pregnant women often complain about is back pain. According to Ratih (2016), the results of research on pregnant women in various regions of Indonesia reached 60-80% of people who experience back pain in their pregnancy. The reported prevalence of back pain in pregnancy varies from 50% in the UK and Scandinavia to 70% in Australia. Back pain experienced by pregnant women will peak at week 24 to week 28, just before abdominal growth reaches its maximum point. Most back pain during pregnancy occurs due to changes in the spinal muscles, as much as 70%.Back pain in pregnant women can be treated both pharmacologically and non pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be given is Effleurage Massage, which provides a gentle, slow and uninterrupted massage on the back of pregnant women so that it can cause relaxation and reduce pain.

Abstract

Previous studies have shown that the majority of children in Indonesia have poor oral hygiene. Children who attend boarding school are sometimes facing difficulties in accessing dental health providers. In this kind of situation, knowledge of oral health and how to do a proper dental cleaning is crucial and must be mastered not only by students but also their teachers who spend most time with them at the boarding school. This goal can be achieved by the collaboration of dental public health and the school and community members.

Abstract

One of the efforts being promoted by WHO to prevent Covid-19 is vaccination. Vaccination aims to prevent the symptoms of a disease caused by pathogenic infection. In some cases, vaccination does not prevent infection but can limit the consequences of the infection. Some of the obstacles encountered in the community include the lack of public knowledge about vaccination, a lot of negative news that develops in the community about vaccination, and the availability of vaccines for the community is still limited. Efforts to educate the public have been carried out to increase public awareness about the benefits of vaccination, either through direct counseling by agencies engaged in the health sector or through social media. Such efforts need to be carried out massively and continuously so that education can reach all levels of society. This community service activity program is carried out by producing educational videos that will target all population levels to provide information about Covid-19 management and clarifications on some most common incorrect information or even myths about Covid-19 vaccination and give the public in Indonesia a chance to learn the facts about the Covid-19 vaccine.

Abstract

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been the cause of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia since December 2019. As an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the vaccination program has been implemented. Vaccination is a process in the body where a person becomes protected and to reduces the severity of diseases. Based on PERDOSKI recommendation 2021 for Covid-19 vaccination, several types of skin diseases need to be considered about the Covid-19 vaccine. By this time, hoaxes and misleading information about the Covid-19 vaccine had been spread widely. Adolescents are the target demographic of Covid-19 vaccination. With correct and adequate knowledge about the Covid-19 vaccine, they can invite their families and communities who have skin diseases around them to participate in the vaccination of Covid-19.

Abstract

The increasing number of incidences and deaths of COVID-19 in Indonesia, especially in South Sumatra which ranks 3rd in Indonesia. For this reason, in addition to efforts to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 in the form of the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities, which causes all economic, educational, and religious activities to be hampered. For this reason, to reduce the incidence and mortality due to COVID-19, it is in the form of COVID-19 vaccination, in addition to increasing immunity, it also prevents the severity of the disease and reduces mortality due to COVID-19, as well as increasing herd immunity.Vaccination or immunization aims to make a person's immune system recognize and quickly fight bacteria or viruses that cause infection. The goal of the COVID-19 vaccine is to reduce morbidity and mortality due to this virus. Although not 100% able to protect a person from Coronavirus infection, this vaccine can reduce the possibility of severe symptoms and complications due to COVID-19.The Covid-19 vaccination for adolescents began to be carried out in Indonesia based on ten recommendations from IDAI (Indonesian Pediatrician Association) related to Covid-19 vaccination for children aged 12-17 years. For this reason, promotion, counseling, and education are needed to avoid doubts from parents and teenagers who will be vaccinated against COVID-19.
