In this study, it was found that most of the implementation of good COVID-19 surveillance had a greater proportion in the category of respondents in their early teens, male gender, education level graduated from Bachelor of Health, long working period (> 7 years), double duty/ workloads, and inappropriate categories of surveillance attributes. From this study, it can be concluded that : 1) The Bekasi City COVID-19 Surveillance Officer has carried out the surveillance component well, starting from case finding until activities of information dissemination on COVID-19 cases, and 2) Good implementation of COVID-19 surveillance activities in Bekasi City is greater in proportion to public health center with inappropriate surveillance attribute categories.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an infectious disease that often causes outbreaks. In Indonesia, the CFR of DHF in 2021 reached 0.96%, this figure increased from the previous year, which was 0.69%. Various efforts have been made to prevent transmission of the dengue virus, for example the use of larvicides for the eradication of Aedes, as a vector for transmitting dengue. The type of research in the Bio Larvicide B. Thuringiensis test is a pure experiment with a posttest only control design. The study was conducted to determine the effect of giving B. thuringiensis on the mortality of A. aegypti larvae in conditions that almost resembled their natural habitat. The study population was all larvae of Aedes instar III from the colonies of the Salatiga B2P2VRP Laboratory. Sampling was done randomly/simple random, ie all third instar larvae had the opportunity to be used as research and control samples. The mortality of Aedes larvae from the intervention of VectoBac WG (Bio Larvicide with the active ingredient B. thuringiensis) from each concentration at 60 minutes of observation, namely the mortality of Aedes larvae in the control group was 0%, at a concentration of 0.001 g/L was 93%, at a concentration of 0.002 g/L as much as 98%, a concentration of 0.004 g/L, 0.006 g/L and 0.008 g/L as much as 100%. The results of this study can be used as a reference for the use of VectoBac WG products as natural larvicides and an alternative in controlling mosquito vector populations.

The ectoparasites were found on the bodies of rats in Jatingaleh traditional market species of flea Xenopsylla cheopis, species of lice Hoplopleura pacifica, species of mite Laelaps echidninus, and Kedung Mundu traditional market were found species of lice Hoplopleura pacifica, species of mites Laelaps turkestanicus and Laelaps nuttalli. Specific flea index in Jatingaleh traditional market as much 0,94, while in Kedung Mundu traditional market not found flea. Specific mite index in Jatingaleh traditional market (0,3) less than Kedung Mundu traditional market (11,5). Abstract

Black grass jelly sellers at traditional market generally have less attention to hygiene and sanitation. That condition can cause the black grass jelly to be contaminated by bacteria, especially Escherichia coli that can cause diarrhea. The purpose of this study is to analyze higiene sanitation factors that are associated with total plate count and E.coli contamination on black grass jelly. The sample of this study are thirty black grass jelly sellers at 16 traditional market in Semarang that selected by using non-probability sampling with saturation sampling technique. Data analyses include descriptive and analytical by using fisher exact test. Descriptive analysis shows the percentage of total plate count in all black grass jelly are not eligible (100%), all samples are contaminated by E.coli (100%), black grass jelly sanitiation is not eligible (93,3%), seller hygiene is not eligible (93,3%), equipment sanitation is not eligible (93,3%), and enviromental sanitation is not eligible (96,7%). The result of statistical test by using fisher exact shows factor that is correlated with E.coli contamination is black grass jelly sanitation (p =0.002), whereas uncorrelated factors are seller hygiene (p=0.99), equipment sanitation (p=0.99), and environmental sanitation (p=0.99). The advice is that black grass jelly seller should pay more attention to hygiene and sanitation. People should be more careful when they buy black grass jelly. Abstract

Preterm delivery occurs before 37 weeks gestation. One of the causes of high infant mortality rate in Banjarnegara district in 2013 due to preterm birth (36,53%). The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors associated with the incidence of preterm delivery. The method used was a quantitative method with case control design. This study consisted of 69 cases and 69 controls. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. Data analysis used chi square test with α= 95%. The results showed correlation between age (OR=2,412 (1,188-4,900)), hemoglobin concentration (OR=3,514 (1,631-7,571)), mid upper arm circumference (OR=2,605 (1,200-5,656)), gestational weight gain (OR= 10,384 (4,524-23,833)), history of preterm delivery (OR=9,750 (2,790-34,071), family income (OR=6,535 (3,100-13,776)), and antenatal care (OR=7,708 (3,310-17,952)) with preterm delivery. There were no correlation between parity, body mass index pre-pregnancy, status of cigaretee smoke exposure and presence concomitant diseases. Advice for Health Service by Midwife to have a personal blood test tool to measure hemoglobin levels of pregrant women, so Midwife can check and monitor status of anemic pregnant women directly and actively provide information about the risk factors for preterm delivery, partiulary weight gain according to the recommendation from Institute of Medicine. To pregnant women should be routine to do antenatal care, so the risk factor of preterm delivery can be known as soon as possible.
