Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe school-based management in improving student achievement where the main focus in this study is the condition of student achievement, both academic and non-academic through school-based management. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study research. This research was conducted at SDN Tanjungrejo 4 Malang City. Data collected using interview techniques, observation and documentation. Then analyzed through an interactive process through the stages of reduction, presentation and verification of data. The results of this study indicate that school-based management programs can have an impact on improving student achievement through an effective management process.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe child-friendly school management where the main focus is fulfilling student's rights as a learner and individual. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. This research was conducted at Insan Amanah Primary School Malang. Collecting research data using interview, observation, and study documentation techniques. Analysis of research data started from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The result of this study are: (1) the background of the child-friendly school implementation at Insan Amanah Primary School Malang, (2) the process of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating child-friendly school at Insan Amanah Primary School Malang, (3) obstacles in child-friendly school management at Insan Amanah Primary School Malang, (4) school efforts in overcoming child-friendly school management constraints at Insan Amanah Primary School Malang, (5) parents' responses to child-friendly school management and its impact on the quality of children's education at Insan Amanah Primary School Malang.

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to describe in detail the learning facilities at kindergarten Al- Falah Batu, the strategy for marketing educational services at kindergarten Al- Falah Batu, the use of learning facilities as a marketing strategy for educational services at kindergarten Al- Falah Batu, obstacles and the solution made in the use of learning facilities as a marketing strategy for educational services in kindergarten Al- Falah Batu. This research uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive research type. The results of this research are kindergarten Al- Falah Batu developed two types of learning facilities, namely indoor learning facilities and outdoor learning facilities, the educational services marketing strategy used by kindergarten Al- Falah Batu is called the service marketing mix concept. education (marketing mix) or 7P which is described through 7 elements including; (1) place, (2) promotion, (3) people, (4) process, (5) product, (6) price, (7) proof, the educational innovation developed by kindergarten Al- Falah Batu is in the form of aircraft classes, the inhibiting factor is that the community thinks that education at kindergarten Al- Falah Batu is expensive, and the location is too far from other districts. So that the solution to this problem is that the school provides discounts for students who are twins or students who are researching at kindergarten Al- Falah Batu and provided two cars that are willing to take students home to the farthest zone in Bumiaji, Batu City

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine, (1) planning of intra and extra activities; (2) organizing intra and extra activities; (3) intracuricular and extracurricular activities; (4) assessment of intra and extra activities; (5) supporting factors for intra and extra activities; 9intra and extra activity inhibiting factors; and (7) efforts to overcome the constraints of intra and extra activities. This research is SDN Betet 1 Kediri City. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique used is the reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of this study are, (1) planning for intra activitis beginning with the teacher preparing lesson plans, modified lesson plans and PPI for special classes, therapy programs, and compiling extracurricular programs; (2) organizing intra and extra activities namely the school principal issues a decree to regulate the work of teachers and staff of employees; (3) implementation of intra activities and that is by implementing lesson plans, implementing therapeutic programs, and implementing extracurricular programs; (4) assessment of intracuricular and extracurricular activities is written in the report cards of student, for students with special needs added reports of therapeutic activities; (5) supporting factors for intracuricular activities, namely human resources with various potentials, supporting facilities and community carrying capacity. Whereas extra activities namely adequate facilities, contributions form parents, and cooperation with outside parties; (6) the inhibiting factors of intra activities are limited budget and parents’ educational background. While the inhibiting factors of extra activities are limited budget and students who lack discipline; and (7) efforts to overcome barriers to intra activities, namely communication with parents. While efforts to overcome the constraints of extra activities are communication with parents and being more assertive to students..

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the role of the school principal as an education manager in optimizing the teacher’s teaching performance in a particular region. The researcher uses qualitative methods, namely case study type. The results are: (1) the school principal have roles in regulating the facilities and infrastructures in school by making plans and listing priorities based on BOS technical guidelines; (2) the principal have roles in managing the classroom by monitoring, providing direction, supervision, and providing teachers with training activities; (3) the school principal have roles in developing a good working relationship by accustoming active communication, involving the nearby community in school activities, and creating a school program namely “Ayo Sekolah”; lastly (4) the school principal have roles in reinforcing teachers by giving reward to the teachers. The reward is by supporting teachers in developing their teaching performance, career, potential, and getting a better assessment system for teachers. The school principal can improve the teachers’ teaching performance by providing ratings to teachers and implementing reprimands and punishments for teachers and students.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to know the climate condition of the state high school organization in Sidoarjo, the motivation level of high school teachers in Sidoarjo district, and the influence between the organization's climate with the motivation level of the work of high school teachers in Sidoarjo district. A quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis is used in this study. The results showed that the organizational climate condition and the motivation level of the work of high school teachers in Sidoarjo Regency are in the low category, as well as in both variables that are the climate of the organization with the motivation of working high school teachers in Sidoarjo is a positive influence

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe; (1) the role of the principal in preparing the empowering program plan in Kepanjen Islamic High School; (2) the role of the principal in the implementation of the empowering program in Kepanjen Islamic High School; (3) the role of the principal in evaluating the empowering program in Kepanjen Islamic High School; (4) supporting factors and obstacles to the role of the principal in the management of empowering programs in Kepanjen Islamic High School. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. Kepanjen Islamic High School research location. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The key informant in this study was the Principal of Kepanjen Islamic High School. The results of the study, namely: 1) the role of the principal in the preparation of the empowering program plan at Kepanjen Islamic High School includes the timing of the preparation of the empowering program plan, the formation of the empowering program group, the parties involved in the preparation of the empowering program, the strategy of preparing the empowering program and the role of the principal in the preparation planned empowering program at Kepanjen Islamic High School; 2) the role of the principal in the implementation of the empowering program which includes the background of the implementation of the empowering program, the implementation schedule of the empowering program, the empowering program activities, the organizational structure in the empowering program, and the role of the principal in the management of the empowering program in Kepanjen Islamic High School; 3) the role of the principal in evaluating the empowering program in Kepanjen Islamic High School which includes the empowering program evaluation system, the parties involved in evaluating the empowering program, how to measure the success of the empowering program, the principal's supervision of the empowering program manager and instructor, the role of the principal in the evaluation of the empowering program, and follow up on the evaluation of the empowering program; 4) supporting factors and obstacles to the role of the principal in the management of the empowering program in Kepanjen Islamic High School which include supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and solutions to overcome the obstacles of the empowering program in Kepanjen Islamic High School

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to identify and describe the innovative leadership of madrasah principals in improving the quality of madrasahs. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of case study research. This research was conducted at MIN 1 Malang City. Data were collected using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Then analyzed through an interactive process through the stages of reduction, presentation, and verification of data. The results of this study are: (1) the characteristics of the headmaster's innovative leadership in improving the quality of madrasah; (2) the innovative leadership role of madrasah principals in improving the quality of madrasahs; (3) innovative leadership strategies of madrasah principals in improving the quality of madrasahs; (4) indicators of quality improvement of innovative leadership; (5) problematic implementation of the principal's innovative leadership and solutions

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of gender characteristics and leadership style of school principals on teacher performance in State Junior High Schools in Sidoarjo Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The results showed that: (1) the gender characteristics of the male principal were gender characteristics with the androgynous type which was a combination of masculine and feminine gender characteristics; (2) the leadership style adopted by the principal is a democratic leadership style that always involves subordinates in the decision-making process; (3) the level of performance of the teachers of Junior High Schools in Sidoarjo Regency is classified as very high, the teacher is able to prepare lesson plans, implement learning, evaluate learning processes and outcomes, and carry out follow-up learning programs very well; (4) partially there is a significant influence between the gender characteristics of the principal's leadership on teacher performance and there is a significant influence between the leadership style of the principal on teacher performance; and (5) simultaneously there is an influence of gender characteristics and leadership style of school principals on teacher performance of State Junior High Schools in Sidoarjo Regency

Abstract

Abstract: Self-confidence is important for every individual or student, however, based on research so far, many students still show low self-confidence. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Cinema Therapy technique in group counseling to increase the self-confidence of students at Hang Tuah 1 High School Surabaya. This research used a one group pre-test post-test design while the research subjects were 6 students who were obtained using a purposive sampling technique. This research uses a self-confidence questionnaire data collection instrument based on Lautser's theory which consists of 5 indicators that meet validity and reliability, with a total validity of 25 and a reliability result of 0.706. In this research, the data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon test with the help of SPSS for Windows version 24.0. The research results show from statistical tests where Asymp. Sig (2 tailed) has a value of 0.027 because 0.027 is less than 0.05, it can be said that Ha is accepted, this can be seen by comparing the significant score of 0.05..
