Abstract

Abstract: The government issued a policy to implement distance learning in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, including in early childhood level. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Ceria Montessori School and the Nasional Montessori School conduct strategic management into online learning programs during the Covid-19 pandemic. By using qualitative research methods, it was found that these two schools implemented strategic management into online learning programs by going through several stages, namely: (1) analysis of the school environment related to online learning programs, both from internal and external factors; (2) the formulation of online learning program strategies; (3) implementation of online learning program strategies; and (4) evaluation and control of online learning program strategies.Abstrak: Pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk melaksanakan PJJ sebagai respon dari kondisi pandemi Covid-19, tidak terkecuali untuk jenjang PAUD. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana sekolah Ceria Montessori School dan Nasional Montessori melakukan manajemen strategik ke dalam program online learning selama masa pandemi Covid-19 ini. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, ditemukan hasil penelitian bahwa kedua sekolah ini mengimplementasikan manajemen strategik ke dalam program online learning dengan melakukan beberapa tahapan, yaitu: (1) analisis lingkungan sekolah yang berkenaan dengan program online learning, baik dari faktor internal dan eksternal; (2) formulasi strategi program online learning; (3) implementasi strategi program online learning; dan (4) evaluasi dan kontrol strategi program online learning.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the direct and indirect relationships between school image variables, excellent service, parents’ expectations, parents’ pride and parental decisions. This research uses correlational descriptive approach with path analysis technique. The results of the analysis show that: (1) there is no correlation between school image and parents decision through excellent service; (2) there is a relationship between school image and parents decision through parents’ expectation; (3) no relationship between school image and parents’ decision through parents’ pride; (4) there is a relationship between excellent service and parental decisions through parental expectations; (5) there is no relationship between excellent service and parental decisions through parental pride; and (6) there is a relationship between parent's expectation and parental decisions through parents’ pride. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung variabel citra sekolah, pelayanan prima, harapan orangtua, rasa bangga orangtua terhadap keputusan orangtua. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional dengan teknik analisis jalur. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: (1) tidak terdapat hubungan citra sekolah dengan keputusan orangtua melalui pelayanan prima; (2) terdapat hubungan citra sekolah dengan keputusan orangtua melalui harapan orangtua; (3) tidak terdapat hubungan citra sekolah dengan keputusan orangtua melalui rasa bangga orangtua; (4) terdapat hubungan pelayanan prima dengan keputusan orangtua melalui harapan orangtua; (5) tidak terdapat hubungan pelayanan prima dengan keputusan orangtua melalui rasa bangga orangtua; dan (6) terdapat hubungan harapan orangtua dengan keputusan orangtua melalui rasa bangga orangtua.

Abstract

 Salah satu bentuk pendidikan dasar di Indonesia adalah sekolah dasar. Sebagai institusi yang kompleks, sekolah dasar tidak akan menjadi baik dengan sendirinya, melainkan melalui proses perubahan organisasional tertentu, yaitu dengan mengimplementasikan ide, program, layanan, metode, teknologi, proses, dan komponen-komponen sistem pendidikan lainnya yang baru dan secara kualitatif berbeda dengan keadaan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan proses perubahan di sekolah dasar yang baik. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, diperoleh tiga kesimpulan teoretik tentang proses, faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan proses, dan peran agen perubahan dalam proses implementasi inovasi pendidikan di sekolah dasar yang baik.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis kemampuan administrasi/manajemen yang diperlukan eksekutif dan staf administratif lembaga pendidikan, dan mengungkap relevansi kurikulum AP dengan jenis kemampuan itu. Dari populasi para eksekutif di lembaga penyelenggara pendidikan dan satuan pendidikan di Jawa Timur, 135 orang sampel ditetapkan secara rambang purposif di SD-SMU, PTN dan PTS, Depdikbud, Dinas P dan K, dan Pusdiklat. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket dan dianalisis dengan statistik. Ditemukan bahwa kemampuan administrasi/manajemen pendidikan dinilai sangat diperlukan, dan kurikulum AP sangat relevan dengan kebutuhan nyata unit-unit kerja pendidikan di Jawa Timur.

Abstract

This action research was designed to describe the management strategies implemented to accelerate the quality of elementary school. This three-year study applied a cycle model of Kemmis and McTaggart, and was held in SD Islam Sabilillah, Malang. The results revealed that the quality management consisted of establishing school vision, self assessment, identifying the need for development, formulating the goal of development, designing the development program, implementing the program, and evaluation. The strategic efforts in accelerating the quality were a quality-oriented program, independence of human-resource, participation of stakeholders, and transparency in financial management.

Abstract

Persistence for achievement reflected from the willingness and determination of principal to implement quality leadership will facilitate the improvement of teachers’ performance, and the two will be the determinant factors for the students’ ultimate achievement. This study aims at analyzing empirical data on the effect of instructional, transformational and spiritual leadership as independent variables, with school quality as the dependent variable. In addition, the intervening variable is teachers’ performance. This study employed the quantitative approach in which samples of 181 teachers were re taken using the proportional random sampling technique. All data were then analysed using the SEM technique with the AMOS 24 application. The findings show that: (1) there is a direct effect of instructional leadership on teachers’ performance, transformational leadership on teachers’ performance, spiritual leadership on teachers’ performance, instructional leadership on students’ achievement, transformational leadership on students’ achievement, spiritual leadership on students’ achievement, and teachers’ performance on students’ achievement. In addition, (2) there is an indirect effect of instructional leadership on students’ achievement through teachers’ performance, transformational leadership on students’ achievement through teachers’ performance and spiritual leadership on students’ achievement through teachers’ performance.

Abstract

The latest ‘freedom to learn’ policy, issued by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, must be implemented by educational institutions at various levels. The principals played significant roles such as community empowerment to utilize all resources in the schools to support the policy. The research aimed to describe the principals’ efforts in improving community participation in the school and to describe the social involvement in facilitating the freedom to learn at schools. This study employed a qualitative approach with a multi-case research design, and it was conducted in Indonesia, particularly in Tana Tidung Regency in North Kalimantan, Bondowoso Regency in East Java, and Malang City in East Java. The data collection techniques included in-depth interviews and document studies, and to validate the data used a credibility technique. The data validation through the credibility technique was carried out by conducting triangulation, checking members, and improving the persistence and adequacy of reference materials. The cross-case data analysis in this study applied a constant comparative method. The analysis was conducted in all three cases resulted in the provisional findings, continued by data comparison that would later be found by the three cases. The results of this research were the principals’ efforts in enhancing community participation through cooperation with several related parties. The principals were regarded as role models in supporting the ‘freedom to learn’ policy and building cooperation with related partners. The kind of community participation varied based on the uniqueness of each region.

Abstract

The internalization of character values in the boarding-schools should ideally be designed to answering the challenges of the context of Indonesia as a multicultural country. This study aims to reconstruct the character cultivation through the multicultural boarding school system as an internalization model of marine leadership characters. This study employed a single-holistic case study in a Senior High School of Taruna Nala, East Java, Indonesia, that implemented a boarding school system. The data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary analysis, and the results was presented interactively. The data sources studied were determined by purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The data validity was tested with four criteria: credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability. This study found that the character of maritime leadership is the reponsive (tanggap), tough (tanggon), and agile (trengginas) as unique-intelligent characters that must be mastered by senior high schools in Indonesia as a maritime country. To make it happens, the internalization of character values can be done through a cultivation model, like in planting, consisting of: (1) determining the goals, (2) the seeds selection, (3) land cultivation, (4) planting the seeds, (5) maintenance, and (6) fertilization. The model is carried out in full through the boarding system education system.

Abstract

Pengembangan SIM Pendidik dan Tenaga KependidikanAbstract: This study aims to: (1) Build a model school information data processing and management information system; (2) find the specifications of software, hardware, and brainware that suit the needs, and (3) Information System of Teachers and Education Personnel Integrated (SI-PINTER). This study uses a descriptive model of development, namely the development of framework approach- end-user development, and using testing phases of a product by combination trials of Borg and Gall. The program specification software is using fourth generation tools technique. The test is done to look at the effectiveness, efficiency and attractiveness of the product. The data in this qualitative test contains discussions and black box testing; as well as quantitative data from the questionnaire and field test. Experimental results show the effectiveness and maximum efficiency of the SI-PINTER, as well as the ability to triangulate the data generated by the 3 modules. Key Words: management information systems, educators and education personnel, vocational high schoolsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) membangun model proses pengolahan data informasi sekolah dan Sistem Informasi Manajemen; (2) menemukan spesifikasi software, hardware, dan brain-ware yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan,  dan (3)  aplikasi  Sistem Informasi Pendidik dan Tenaga Ke-pendidikan Terpadu (SI-PINTER). Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan deskriptif, yaitu pengembangan kerangka kerja menggunakan pendekatan end-user development, serta uji coba produk menggunakan kombinasi tahapan uji coba Borg dan Gall. Spesifikasi program software menggunakan teknik fourth generation tools. Uji coba dilakukan untuk melihat tingkat keefektifan, efisiensi dan daya tarik produk yang dihasilkan. Data uji coba ini bersifat kualitatif berisi hasil diskusi dan uji black box; serta data kuantitatif dari hasil kuesioner serta uji lapangan. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan tingkat keefektifan dan efisiensi yang maksimal dari SI-PINTER, serta kemampuan triangulasi data yang dihasilkan oleh 3 modul tersebut.Kata kunci: sistem informasi manajemen, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, sekolah menengah kejuruan

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the application of Value Clarification Technique learning model to improve critical thinking ability and students’s social skill on the subject content of Pancasila and Civic Education. This study is classroom action research. The subject of the research is fifth clas students of SDN Jember Kidul 02 with total of 55 students. This study is conducted through 2 cycles with three times of learning in each cycle. This study results a percentage of students’ critical thinking ability completeness has reached 63% with average 73,82 in cycle I and has begun to increase 81% with average 84.36 in cycle II. The percentage of students’ social skill has reached 74.37% in cycle I and increased to be 86,95% in cycle II.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran value clarification technique untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan sosial siswa pada muatan Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SDN Jember Kidul 02 yang berjumlah 55 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dua siklus dengan tiga kali pembelajaran pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mencapai 63% dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 73,82 untuk siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 81% dengan rata-rata nilai 84,36 pada siklus II. Persentase keterampilan sosial siswa mencapai 74,37% untuk siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 86,95% pada siklus II.
