Abstract

Phytosterols are vegetable sterols, included in secondary metabolite compounds and have broad benefits in the health field. Sources of natural ingredients containing phytosterol compounds have been widely used as medicinal ingredients, one of which is beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). This research is an exploratory research, aimed to analyze the content of phytosterol compounds in water extract, and the result of partition of water extract of beans using TLC and GC-MS technique. The result of phytochemical test showed that from 13 extracts of partition result with n-hexane solvent, DCM, ethyl acetate, and methanol, only 5 extracts showed positive steroid, including water extract, hexane residue, DCM residue, methanol extract, and methanol residue. The TLC test results on the hexane residue of the partition from the water extract were suspected as stigmasterol compound because it has the price of Rf = 0.9 equal to the standard Rf compound of stigmasterol, whereas the GC-MS product showed negative phytosterol.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of applying imagery and progressive muscle relaxation exercises on the level of anxiety and concentration in Persatu Darek FC athletes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental design (matching-only design). The research sample consisted of 33 athletes who were divided into 3 groups of athletes (11 athletes in each group), each of which was given a pretest and posttest. The experimental group I was given an imagery exercise program, the experimental group II was given a progressive muscle relaxation exercise program, and the third group was a control (conventional exercise). The test instrument to measure the level of concentration is the grid concentration exercise test, while the anxiety test uses a sport anxiety scale. Data analysis in this study used a different test (t-test) and multivariate analysis of variance. The results of the study showed that there was a significant effect of giving progressive muscle relaxation and imagery exercises to the level of anxiety in soccer players. However, it has no effect on conventional exercise modes. The provision of progressive muscle relaxation and imagery exercises also affects concentration in soccer players, and this does not apply to conventional training modes. In this study, we also found that there was no difference in the effect of the concentration variables and the level of anxiety together. Therefore, it can be concluded that neither of the two methods of mental exercise (imagery and progressive muscle relaxation) has a more effective effect on concentration and anxiety levels. The recommendation from the results of this study is that mental exercise conduction (imagery and progressive muscle relaxation) is very important for soccer players as a non-physical exercise mode that is very useful for reducing anxiety and increasing concentration.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by using a learning model based on Information and Communicaton Technologies (ICT). This research is a Classroom action research qualitative research. This research method consists of: (1) planning (planning); (2) the implementation of the action (action); (3) observation and evaluation (observation and evaluation); (4) reflection (reflection). This research uses descriptive statistical data analysis involving 20 students, including 7 boys and 13 girls and using instruments in the form of student worksheets and interview guidelines for teachers and students. Based on the results of initial observations, it shows that the low learning outcomes obtained by students. This is because teachers have less ability to vary learning models/strategies, where teachers only explain the material to students and then ask questions, but only a few students have an active understanding of concepts/knowledge in learning. Based on the daily test results, before the first cycle of action, only 40% of students with an average score of 60.1 scored 70 from the KKM (Minimum Graduation Criteria), which was 75%. In the first cycle, there was an increase from the initial test which was 40% to 55% of students with an average score of 65.98 who obtained a score of 70, while in the second cycle the test also increased to 85% with an average score of 80.56 who obtained a score 70. The final result of this research is that it can improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes by Applying the ICT-based Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model.

Abstract

Today's main problem is the lack of literacy in the learning process. The use of literacy is defined as a pattern to foster and develop the process of reasoning and thinking. Currently, many children do not have literacy skills, one of which is digital literacy. Digital literacy among students and schools is often misused or misinterpreted, especially in the use of the digital internet. This study aims to describe digital literacy, risk internet behavior, and science learning achievement, as well as the simultaneous and partial influence of digital literacy and risk internet behavior on science learning achievement. This research is classified as quantitative research using the survey method. The population in this study were all students of Junior High School 1 Kendari in the 2020/202 academic year. The sampling technique in this study is proportionate stratified random sampling, i.e., population members are taken at random and proportionally stratified, consisting of classes VII, VIII, and IX. The number of samples obtained was 284 samples. The results showed that the average digital literacy of students was included in the reasonably high category, and the average risk internet behavior of students was included in the good category, meaning that they could control the bad risks arising from using the internet. The average science learning achievement of students was included in the high category. Multiple linear regression test results show that digital literacy and risk internet behavior simultaneously significantly affect science learning achievement, with a contribution of 9.4%. And the results of a simple linear regression test show that digital literacy does not substantially affect science learning achievement. This is because the contribution of digital literacy is very small, namely 0.04%, so statistically, digital literacy has no significant or no effect on science learning achievement. Meanwhile, risk internet behavior significantly influences science learning achievement, contributing 9.15%. Based on the analysis results, the internet's use had an impact on student achievement in school. It is because many students use the internet as a learning resource.

Abstract

The students' environmental care attitude is still low. One of the factors that cause environmental damage is the lack of awareness of students in the importance of disposing of waste in its place and knowledge in managing waste. In addition to the problem of students' environmental care, learning in schools is also still rarely associated with learning materials with the surrounding environment (local wisdom). The research aims to develop an interactive multimedia inquiry that integrates practical and effective local wisdom to improve students' environmental care attitudes. This research is a development research using a 4D development model. The environmental care attitude questionnaire instrument was developed referring to 4 indicators, namely: maintaining class cleanliness, maintaining school cleanliness, developing empathy for all forms of life and maintaining plants at school. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire instrument. The practicality data analysis technique uses practicality percent and the effectiveness of interactive multimedia inquiry is analyzed using normalized gain. The results showed that the teacher's response to multimedia products was categorized as good because it was in accordance with learning needs by utilizing technology. Students' responses to multimedia are categorized as good because the tasks given are in accordance with the experiences of students in both the social and school environment. Based on the results of the analysis of the effectiveness test, it showed that the experimental class taught using interactive multimedia inquiry based on local wisdom obtained an increase in environmental care attitudes which was higher than the control class taught without using interactive multimedia based on local wisdom, it obtained an increase with moderate criteria. Based on this description, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia inquiry based on local wisdom is practical and effective to improve students' environmental care attitudes.
