Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menggambarkan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievement division (STAD) dipadu media pembelajaran visual untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 2 Dolo. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus, tiap siklus terdiri atas 4 tahap. Pokok bahasan yang diajarkan adalah sistem pernapasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pada siklus 1 aktivitas siswa rata-rata sebesar 68,75%, aktivitas guru rata-rata sebesar 75%, daya serap klasikal sebesar 69%, tuntas individu 14 orang dan tidak tuntas individu 10 orang. Pada siklus 2, aktivitas siswa rata-rata sebesar 84,37%, aktivitas guru rata-rata sebesar 93,75%, daya serap siswa secara klasikal sebesar 87%, tuntas individu 25 orang dan tidak tuntas individu 2 orang. Berdasarkan hal tersebut terjadi peningkatan aktivitas siswa sebesar 16,62%, peningkatan aktvitas guru sebesar 18,75%, daya serap klasikal sebesar 18,87% dan peningkatan ketuntasan individu sebanyak 11 orang. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tips student teams achievement division dipadu media pembelajaran visual dapat meningkatkan basil belajar siswa tentang Biologi khususnya materi sistem pernapasan di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Dolo.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of the mind map-assisted cooperative script learning model on student learning outcomes on biology subject. Learning was carried out online during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was conducted in the academic year 2020/2021 in odd semesters. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest posttest control group design. This study used 1 control class and 1 experimental class. The number of students were 19 and 21 in the experimental and control class, respectively. To collect the data, a 20-question learning outcome test was used. The research activities were carried out 4 times with 2 tests and 2 learning activities. Research data were analyzed using t-test and Mann Whitney test. The mean difference of the pretest results showed that sig 0.43> 0.05, this indicated that there was no difference in the two groups. The results of the hypothesis test of the posttest showed that Asymp. Sig 0.04 <0.05, with an average posttest score of the experimental class was 11.52 and an average score of the control class learning outcomes was 9.2. The results of this study revealed that the cooperative script learning model assisted with mind maps has a positive effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

pengalaman belajar yang atraktif dan melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Keadaan ini dapat diciptakan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inovatif. Sayangnya banyak guru belum terampil merancang model pembelajaran inovatif. Tujuan program ini adalah melatih guru di sekolah mitra untuk bekerja dalam lesson study (LS) (1) merancang dengan mudah model pembelajaran inovatif, dan (2) mampu menghasilkan RPP berbasis PBL serta perangkat pembelajaran lainnya penunjang pembelajaran inovatif. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2021 dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan kerja praktek. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi untuk mengamati kerja sama, komunikasi, peran anggota dan ketuntasan kerja dalam kegiatan lesson studi serta penyusunan perangkat berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan indikator amatan yaitu Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) disusun sesuai sintaks PBL, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) memicu aktivitas siswa, media menarik minat belajar dan assesmen berkategori HOTS. Dilakukan wawancara tidak terstruktur sebagai pelengkap data. Mitra pada kegiatan ini adalah seluruh guru SMP Negeri 4 Palu  berjumlah 60 guru. Hasil observasi menunjukkan (1) guru sanggup bekerjasama dan berkomunikasi dengan baik dalam merancang model pembelajaran inovatif sesuai sintaksnya dalam tim lesson study, dan (2) guru sanggup menghasilkan RPP berbasis PBL serta perangkat pembelajaran lainnya yang menunjang pembelajaran inovatif. Hasil wawancara menginformasikan bahwa kegiatan lesson study menyebabkan guru-guru lebih mudah merancang pembelajaran inovatif. Selain itu, kolaborasi dalam LS dapat melatih guru mampu menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang lebih baik dan sesuai kebutuhan model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Kerjasama secara kolegatif dalam tim lesson study untuk merancang model-model pembelajaran inovatif penting dilanjutkan dan disebarluaskan.  The success of learning can be achieved when the teacher can provide an engaging learning experience and engage students actively. This state of being can be created by applying innovative learning models. Unfortunately, many teachers have not designed innovative learning models and used them correctly. This program aims to train teachers in partner schools to work in lesson study groups so that teachers can (1) easily design innovative learning models, (2) be able to produce PBL-based lesson plans and other learning tools to support innovative learning. This activity will be held in August 2021 in counselling and practical work. The instrument used is an observation sheet to observe cooperation, communication, member roles and work completeness in lesson study activities, as well as the preparation of PBL-based tools with observational indicators, namely lesson plans arranged according to PBL syntax, the student worksheet triggers student activity, media attracts interest in learning and assessments in the HOTS category. Unstructured interviews were conducted as a complement to the data. Partners in this activity are all 60 SMP Negeri 4 Palu teachers, totalling 60 teachers. The observations show (1) teachers can work together and communicate well in designing innovative learning models according to the syntax in the lesson study team, and (2) teachers can produce PBL-based lesson plans and other learning tools that support innovative learning. The interview results inform that lesson study activities make it easier for teachers to design innovative learning. In addition, collaboration in lesson study can train teachers to produce better learning devices according to the learning model's needs. Cooperation in lesson study teams to design innovative learning models is important to continue and disseminate.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan wawasan dan kemampuan calon mahasiswa PPL Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi dalam penggunaan aplikasi zipgrade untuk pemeriksaan lembar jawaban siswa. Hal itu dimaksudkan agar memudahkan calon mahasiswa PPL dalam memberikan evaluasi dan memeriksa hasil evaluasi tersebut. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka perlu dilakukan pendekatan berupa pelatihan bagi calon mahasiswa PPL. Kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan smartphone dan program aplikasinya yang disebut dengan zipgrade untuk mempermudah dan mempercepat proses pemeriksaan hasil dari bentuk penilaian tes multiple choice. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dihadiri oleh 15 peserta yaitu calon mahasiswa yang akan melaksanakan PPL di berbagai sekolah yang ada di Kota Palu. Aplikasi zipgrade dapat diunduh secara gratis di playstore. Materi yang diberikan pada kegiatan pelatihan ini mulai dari pengenalan software atau aplikasi pemeriksa lembar jawaban hingga cara pemanfaatan aplikasi tersebut. Dengan adanya kegiatan pelatihan ini maka diharapkan calon mahasiswa PPL telah mampu menggunakan aplikasi Zipgrade dan menerapkannya pada proses pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the obstacles to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic among science teachers in Palu City. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a survey method which was conducted in person and online. Primary data collection was done by interview, distributing questionnaires totaling 25 questions online to respondents. Respondents were 9 science teachers in 3 junior high schools in Palu Barat sub-district who were more than 25 years old with a bachelor's degree. The results showed that overall there were 4 items that did not hinder or did not become an obstacle in online learning for teachers, 12 statement items were considered inhibiting by teachers and 9 items were considered very inhibiting by teachers, the difficulty faced by teachers was the difficulty of evaluating practicum activities online, while some subjects in science lessons require practicum activities, this makes the teacher improvise in practicum activities and ask students to do simple independent practicums, but direct practicum is still considered better because the teacher can directly monitor student activities

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the STEM Learning Model in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 on students’ critical thinking skills of SMAN 5 Palu. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a population of all students at SMAN 5 Palu as many as 201 students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, where class XI IPA 3 was the control class and class XI IPA 4 was the experimental class. The data analysis technique used t test with the help of SPSS 16 software for windows. The data collection technique used a description test instrument. The results of data analysis obtained in the experimental class / STEM obtained an average critical thinking score of 72.9 better than the control class / lecture 60.8, and the results of the t-test Tcount Ttable = 6.805 1.997. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the STEM Learning Model on students' critical thinking at SMAN 5 Palu.

Abstract

Kahoot can be an option to meet the demands of the 4.0 era in teaching. The use of this kind of application should not only be limited to fulfilling these demands. The implication of the application for students is also an important thing to study. This study aims to describe student perceptions of the use of Kahoot in learning activities, specifically in online learning. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in the General Biology course. This research is descriptive. The data in this study were collected using the help of a questionnaire regarding student perceptions. The study results found that overall, students felt that there was no difficulty in the accessibility of Kahoot, students felt that using Kahoot for quizzes was helpful in General Biology learning, students felt that taking quizzes with Kahoot was easy to implement, and students had a positive attitude towards using Kahoot for the quiz.

Abstract

Good quality communication skills are not evenly distributed among students in secondary schools. This quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method aims to describe high school students' communication skills through STEM-based PBL learning in Biology, describe high school students' oral and written communication skills through STEM-based PBL learning in Biology, and describe high school students' communication skills through PBL-based learning and STEM in Biology lessons by gender. The research design is a Posttest Only Control Design carried out on class XI students of SMAN Terpadu Madani Palu with a population of 7 classes totaling 220 students. The research sample used 2 classes totaling 64 students. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling considering the number of students and cognitive abilities of students in 2 classes are homogeneous. Data on written communication skills were obtained through tests using multiple-choice reasoned given during the post-test. Data on oral communication skills were obtained through observation of student activities during the learning process. The results showed that Biology learning by applying STEM-based PBL had a significant effect on the communication skills of high school students compared to direct STEM-based learning, written communication skills were better than oral communication skills and female students' communication skills were significantly better than male students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation dengan media video animasi terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Palu. Keberhasilan penelitian ini dilihat dari hasil angket motivasi dan pretest-posttest di kelas control dan eksperimen yang menggunakan model Group Investigation dengan media video animasi. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimental dengan pretest–posttest nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Palu (X IPA 3 dan X IPA 6). Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling.. Analisa data pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan nilai signifikansi 0.05. diperoleh nilai motivasi belajar yaitu sebesar 0,006 < 0,05 dan hasil belajar sebesar 0,004 < 0,05. Dapat disimpulakan bahwa H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak yang berarti terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Group Investigation dengan media video animasi.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru menyusun instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS melalui kerja kelompok sehingga semua guru mampu menyusun soal-soal berbasis HOTS sesuai mata pelajaran yang diampunya dalam bentuk soal essay dan pilihan ganda dengan redaksi kalimat yang baik dan komunikatif serta memenuhi kaidah penulisan soal-soal HOTS. Mitra pada kegiatan ini adalah seluruh guru SD Inpres 3 Birobuli, Kecamatan Palu Selatan, Sulawesi Tengah, berjumlah 35 guru. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2023 dalam bentuk pelatihan dan bimbingan praktis dengan metode diskusi interaktif dan penugasan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket, lembar observasi dan lembar tugas. Hasil angket menunjukkan semua guru SD Inpres 3 Birobuli senantiasa memperhatikan dan meninjau kembali kompetensi dasar (KD) dan materi ajar saat menyusun soal. Sebagian guru telah mengetahui perbedaan assesmen berbasis HOTS dan LOTS, memperhatikan kaidah penyusunan assesmen berbasis HOTS, menggunakan stimulus yang menarik dan kontestual ketika akan menyusun soal sedangkan sebagian yang lain belum mengetahui keempat aspek tersebut. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa semua peserta pada setiap kelompok melakukan kerjasama yang baik dan saling membantu menyelesaikan tugas, menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan sesama peserta dalam kelompoknya, tanggung jawab yang tinggi dalam menyelesaikan tugas kelompoknya dan semua anggota kelompok berperan aktif pada masing-masing kelompoknya. Hasil penugasan menunjukkan bahwa semua guru telah berhasil menyusun soal-soal berbasis HOTS sesuai mata pelajaran yang diampunya dalam bentuk soal essay dan pilihan ganda dengan redaksi kalimat yang baik dan komunikatif serta memenuhi kaidah penulisan soal-soal HOTS. Latihan penyusunan assesmen berbasis HOTS penting dilanjutkan dan disebarluaskan kepada seluruh guru di sekolah lain.The implementation of this community service aims to improve the ability of teachers to compose HOTS-based assessment instruments through group work so that all teachers can compose HOTS-based questions according to the subjects they teach in the form of essay and multiple choice questions with good, communicative sentence editing and meet the rules of writing HOTS questions. The partners in this activity were all SD Inpres 3 Birobuli teachers, South Palu District, Central Sulawesi, totaling 35 teachers. This activity was carried out in July 2023 through training and practical guidance using interactive discussion methods and assignments. The instruments used were questionnaires, observation sheets, and assignment sheets. The questionnaire results show that all SD Inpres 3 Birobuli teachers always pay attention to and review basic competencies (KD) and teaching materials when compiling questions. Some teachers already know the differences between HOTS and LOTS-based assessments, pay attention to the rules for preparing HOTS-based assessments, and use interesting and contextual stimuli when compiling questions. In contrast, some others do not know these four aspects. The observation results show that all participants in each group cooperate well and help each other complete tasks, establish good communication with fellow participants, have a high responsibility in completing group assignments, and all group members play an active role in each group. The assignment results showed that all teachers had succeeded in compiling HOTS-based questions according to the subjects they taught in the form of essay and multiple-choice questions with good and communicative sentence editors and fulfilling the rules for writing HOTS questions. The HOTS-based assessment preparation exercise must be continued and disseminated to all teachers in other schools.
