Fokus Jurnal Bhakti Persada menerbitkan artikel yang membahas mengenai penelitian terapan pengabdian masyarakat di bidang teknologi dan ilmu sosial. Ada beberapa jenis artikel penelitian yang dapat diterima oleh BP yaitu penelitian evaluasi, penelitian dan pengembangan, dan penelitian tindakan berbasis pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Penelitian evaluasi adalah jenis penelitian terapan yang menganalisis informasi yang ada tentang subjek penelitian untuk sampai pada hasil penelitian yang objektif atau mencapai keputusan yang tepat. Jenis penelitian terapan ini sebagian besar diterapkan dalam konteks bisnis, misalnya, sebuah organisasi dapat mengadopsi penelitian evaluasi untuk menentukan cara mengurangi biaya overhead. Penelitian dan pengembangan adalah jenis penelitian terapan yang berfokus pada pengembangan produk dan layanan baru berdasarkan kebutuhan pasar sasaran. Ini berfokus pada pengumpulan informasi tentang kebutuhan pemasaran dan menemukan cara untuk meningkatkan produk yang ada atau membuat produk baru yang memenuhi kebutuhan yang diidentifikasi. Penelitian tindakan adalah jenis penelitian terapan yang bertujuan memberikan solusi praktis untuk masalah bisnis tertentu dengan mengarahkan bisnis ke arah yang benar. Biasanya, penelitian tindakan adalah proses penyelidikan reflektif yang terbatas pada konteks tertentu dan situasional di alam. Ruang Lingkup Meliputi hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bidang pariwisata, bahasa, bisnis dan ekonomi, teknik dan kejuruan, kesehatan, dan lainnya.

Abstract

Increasing public health awareness is an important strategic issue to be handled by local governments, especially in the Depok City area. This strategic issue is handled directly by the Depok City Health Service. This is a result of the lack of public health awareness, which is a challenge in health promotion efforts in Depok City. Several technical obstacles were encountered in the field related to limited technical capabilities in using software to create educational and promotional media using technology. This technical ability can be overcome by providing counseling and technical assistance using a selection of simple, smartphone-based tools. This training involved 60 health promoters from community health centers and regional hospitals in Depok City. The pretest results, which illustrate the success of the community service process, stated that 47.2% of health promotion workers rarely received multimedia training, and 17.85% felt that there had never been any multimedia training. Positive responses were given by the participants, as shown by the results of the implementation of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional multimedia

Abstract

Collaborative efforts among community members, health care professionals, and faith-based institutions can prove valuable in efforts to improve community health. The aim of this research is to increase knowledge about risk factors for heart disease, diabetes, stroke among the Bugis Community Kalimantan population; and to empower community members to take control of their health by modifying living habits through health education programs held within religious communities. This study used data obtained from a pre- and post-health risk assessment survey to assess participants' knowledge of risk factors that cause chronic diseases among the Kalimantan population in underserved Bugis communities. Data obtained from activity log books and health check sessions were used to assess the impact of knowledge gained about lifestyle practices. The results of the educational intervention showed progress, with 24% of participants experiencing a decrease in blood pressure, 18% experiencing a decrease in blood sugar, and 6% experiencing a decrease in weight. As many as 60% of participants reported an increase in exercise, 77% reported changes in eating patterns to be healthier, and 95% of participants reported increased knowledge about risk factors for heart disease, diabetes and stroke. These results emphasize the importance of ongoing health education programs to increase public awareness and knowledge in preventing chronic diseases. The research findings support the need for continued popular development of educational programs especially in religious institutions within the Bugis community.

Abstract

The traditional subak irrigation system is a driving force in achieving farmer welfare, this system is inherited from generation to generation as the wisdom of the local Hindu community in Bali by adhering to the Tri Hita Karana concept in it. This study aims to determine how a well-organized financial recording system can produce quality and accountable reports. This study was carried out by implementing three stages, namely: 1. Socialization, 2. Observation, 3. Assistance in recording and compiling accountability reports. To realize this, assistance in recording and compiling financial accountability reports was carried out as a basic means in managing financial reports. The object of this study was the administrators and members of the subak in the Sibanggede Traditional Village. The results of this study indicate that one of the subaks in the Sibanggede Traditional Village, namely Subak Saradan, still carries out recording manually so that the recording and compilation of subak financial accountability reports have not been carried out optimally and are accountable to subak members.

Abstract

Knowledge is acquired in education from an early age including elementary school. Elementary school children are the main target for improving dental health. This improvement requires appropriate promotional media to support dental health promotion so that a theoretical understanding of the related material can be achieved. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of pamphlet media and demonstration of dental phantom props on children's knowledge level of dental caries. The study was conducted with a Quasi-Experimental research type with a "Two group pretest posttest design". It was carried out in June 2022 at SD GMIM 28 Manado City. The sample of the population, namely 40 students, was divided into 2 groups, namely 20 samples using pamphlet media and 20 samples using the dental phantom demonstration method. Knowledge measurement using a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed through paired t-test statistical tests. The study's results used a paired t-test with df = 19 resulting in p = 0.000 for etiher pamphlet or dental phantom media. The t-value of the pamphlet media was -71.53, greater than the t-value of the demonstration using a phantom with a value of -4.397. This study concludes that pamphlet media is more effective than phantom media in increasing knowledge of dental caries in children.

Abstract

The number of cyber attacks on the banking industry in Indonesia is increasing every year, making people reluctant to save their money in banks. The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) protects bank customer data and funds based on the applicable system and law. However, not many people know about the presence of LPS, so outreach and education about legal protection for bank customers is crucial before they have a bank account. High school students who are Generation Z are the right prospective bank customers to carry out outreach and education regarding legal protection for bank customers. Socialization and education were conducted at SMA Negeri 26 Jakarta, where 96 class XI students participated. The normalization gain method measures the effectiveness of socialization and education. The N-Gain test results were obtained at 77.39% using the pre-test and post-test values. These results prove that there has been an increase in students' knowledge about the legal protection of bank customer data and funds. Prospective and bank customers should not have to worry about their money stored in the bank because public funds will remain protected if a cyber attack occurs.

Abstract

Education and financial literacy are very important to increase community understanding in managing finances, including housewives. Lack of financial literacy can make people tend to invest in real form, such as buying a house or land, which is difficult to resold. In an effort to increase financial literacy, the Jakarta State Polytechnic Financial Management Study Program held training in Sawangan, Depok, for 40 members of the Dharma Wanita Unity BSSN. The training was carried out in a luring with two main activities: lectures and discussions about financial literacy, as well as investment simulation assistance using stockbit applications. The activity began with a pre-test and ended with a post-test, showing an increase in participants' knowledge, with an average score of the final test rising from 83.21 to 95.32. The statistical test using SPSS shows significant changes (p <0.05). For two weeks of assistance, 12% of participants managed to invest in stocks. The activity was closed with the formation of the WhatsApp group to continue to assist participants in capital market investment. In the future, the Community Service Team plans to expand the reach of activities to other cities around Depok, so that more people can feel the benefits.

Abstract

Kelelahan kerja merupakan salah satu gangguan kesehatan yang dialami oleh pekerja akibat pekerjaan. Kelelahan karena aktivitas kerja berulang dapat memunculkan risiko cedera tubuh. Salah satu aktivitas fisik yang terjadi dalam proses pengolahan hasil ternak yaitu pengangkutan bahan baku, pengolahan hasil ternak, hingga aktivitas pengemasan. Pekerja pengolahan hasil ternak dihadapkan pada faktor fisik di tempat kerja yang meliputi postur janggal saat bekerja, mengangkat beban berat, mengerahkan tenaga yang besar, dan melakukan kegiatan yang berulang. Risiko tersebut apabila tidak diperhatikan dapat menyebabkan pekerja mengalami cedera seperti nyeri, mati rasa, bengkak, kekakuan, dan lain-lain yang secara langsung dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas.Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pekerja agar dapat bekerja dengan lebih aman, nyaman dan produktif dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip penanganan material secara manual dengan memperhatikan bahaya ergonomi, sehinga dapat mengurangi risiko gangguan otot rangka akibat kerja. Adapun metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat perubahan pengetahuan pekerja dengan melakukan pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran pre-test sebanyak 24 pekerja menjawab pertanyaan dengan jawaban 80% benar, kemudian setelah diberikan penyuluhan dan dilakukan post-test hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan bahwa seluruh pekerja di departemen produksi dapat menjawab >80% jawaban benar. Kesimpulannya setelah dilakukan pre-test dan post-test pada 37 pekerja menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan terkait bahaya ergonomi dan risiko gangguan otot rangka akibat kerja (gotrak).

Abstract

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) remains a global health challenge, especially with the increasing drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Piper nigrum L. and its bioactive compound, piperine, have shown potential as antimicrobials and immunomodulatory agents. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the potential of Piper nigrum and its active compound, piperine, as adjunctive therapy for pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB). Methods: The study utilized a mixed-methods design with 50 participants diagnosed with PTB. The treatment group received Piper nigrum L. extract supplementation at varying doses (low, medium, high) for eight weeks. Quantitative data were collected through measurement of bacterial load and immune response, while qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS software, involving paired t-tests and regression analysis to explore dose-response relationships. Results: showed significant improvement in symptom reduction and immune response in the treatment group compared to the control group. At week 8, the treatment group exhibited a 70% reduction in symptoms and a 60% increase in immune.  A dose-response effect was evident, where a high dose of piperine resulted in a 75% reduction in bacterial load and a 65% increase in immune response.  Conclusion:  Piper nigrum L. has great potential as an adjunctive therapy for PTB by enhancing the effectiveness of conventional treatment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi masjid sebagai pusat pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengelolaan keuangan syariah. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya masjid sebagai lembaga keagamaan yang dapat berperan lebih aktif dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi umat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada beberapa masjid yang telah mengimplementasikan Unit Pengelola Zakat (UPZ) sebagai sarana pemberdayaan ekonomi umat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan keuangan syariah melalui UPZ mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat di sekitar masjid, serta memperkuat literasi ekonomi dan keuangan syariah. Optimalisasi fungsi masjid melalui UPZ dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam pengelolaan dana zakat yang lebih transparan dan akuntabel.

Abstract

Dalam ekonomi budaya Bali, perempuan perajut tradisional memegang peran penting namun kerap tak terlihat dalam mendukung pariwisata berbasis warisan budaya. Meskipun kontribusi mereka signifikan, keterlibatan dalam program pemberdayaan formal masih terbatas, terutama karena kendala struktural dan sosial-budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi tantangan, potensi, dan strategi pemberdayaan perempuan perajut di sektor pariwisata Bali. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis tematik terhadap wawancara mendalam terhadap sembilan informan perempuan perajut di tiga wilayah: Gianyar, Tabanan, dan Jembrana. Hasil menunjukkan tema dominan berupa ketiadaan pelatihan kewirausahaan, prosedur permodalan yang kompleks, dan beban kerja ganda sebagai hambatan utama. Di sisi lain, keterampilan otodidak dan permintaan pasar yang stabil menjadi kekuatan yang menopang. Rekomendasi strategis mencakup pelatihan teknis yang inklusif, fasilitasi akses pasar digital, dan penguatan dukungan kelembagaan. Temuan ini memperkaya wacana pemberdayaan berbasis komunitas serta memberikan kontribusi penting dalam perumusan kebijakan lokal yang responsif gender dan kontekstual. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa pemberdayaan perempuan perajut tidak hanya soal akses ekonomi, tetapi juga transformasi struktural dalam ekosistem pariwisata yang lebih adil.
