Abstract

The growth of the creative economy has had a significant impact on Indonesia’s national development since 2015. Recognizing its vast potential, President Joko Widodo and the Indonesian government identified the creative economy as a strategic sector with the capacity to position Indonesia as a global leader in this field by 2030. In pursuit of this vision, Indonesia initiated the first-ever international conference on the creative economy—the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE)—in 2018. This conference aimed to strengthen global collaboration and promote creative industries on a multilateral platform. WCCE also served as a channel for Indonesia’s economic diplomacy, designed to expand international cooperation, market access, and institutional partnerships for the creative economy sector. Through various diplomatic initiatives embedded in WCCE, the Indonesian government has contributed to strengthening bilateral relations, fostering policy innovation, and enhancing support mechanisms for creative economy actors. This research aims to analyze Indonesia’s economic diplomacy practices within the framework of WCCE from 2018 to 2023. Employing a qualitative descriptive method based on document analysis, the study explores the policy instruments and international engagements mobilized to achieve Indonesia’s aspiration to become a global creative economy hub.

Abstract

Israel as a country, always seems to find a way into another new conflict with neighboring states, especially with Palestine. The focus of this article will be about explaining how Israel handles a very important issue within their military, which is the slow declining number of military personnel that they are currently facing due to frequent amount of conflict and how long the duration of said conflict. Duration of war could heavily influence the number of military personnel, and could lead to a serious issue, which could cause the collapse of a country. In 1948, Israel found a solution to this issue, Israel decided to form their own Reserve Duty. This branch in the Israel Defense Force consists of civilians, these civilians then receive basic military trainings with the goal of making them eligible to fight in the conflicts that Israel are facing. Reserve Duty of Israel was so vital in their war crime, that the government decided to continue this program until now. In their latest conflict against Palestine citizen (including children and elderly), Israel called thousands of their reserve duty member to aid in the genocidal act against Palestinian civilians. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative, in which the researcher will gather information about the topic of Israel’s Reserve Duty and then will explain them in detail, with the purpose of giving more knowledge and information about this specific conflict and the role of reserve duty army within it. This research explains how the Israel army force depend on its reserve duty to increase their number of manpower and this helps them to maintain power in a conflict, but there are also issues within the usage of reserve duty, such as mental issues, decrease of manpower in the same time due to death toll that keeps adding up, and also the strategy used by Israel often leads to losing its own military personnel.

Abstract

Russia is widely recognized for its opposition to the LGBT movement, particularly through the implementation of the 2013 Gay Propaganda Law, which was further expanded by President Vladimir Putin in 2022. This extension has significantly intensified restrictions on the activities of the LGBT community within the country. This study aims to analyze the social impact of the 2022 extension of the Gay Propaganda Law, both in public life and in digital spaces. The findings were obtained using qualitative methods, including content analysis of credible Russian news sources and a literature review of peer-reviewed academic journals published between 2015 and 2025. The results indicate that the extension of the law has had a substantial negative impact on the LGBT community, leading to increased marginalization, a heightened sense of threat due to legal constraints, and limited opportunities for expression, both on social media and in broader society. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the consequences of anti-LGBT legislation and may serve as a reference for future research on social and political developments related to LGBT issues in Russia

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study analyzes the cooperation between Indonesia and Japan through the New Manufacturing Industry Development Center (New MIDEC) program in strengthening the capacity of Indonesia’s automotive industry during the 2019–2024 period. As a continuation of the previous MIDEC under the Indonesia–Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA), the program aims to enhance the competitiveness of the national automotive sector through human resource development, technology transfer, and industrial strengthening. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through document analysis and in-depth interviews with officials from the Ministry of Industry. The findings reveal that New MIDEC has made a significant contribution to human resource capacity building, particularly through modular training and the empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Nevertheless, its implementation continues to face challenges, including technological gaps and limited adoption of advanced technologies by domestic industries. Accordingly, this study recommends strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration and optimizing technology transfer to ensure that New MIDEC delivers greater benefits for the development and global competitiveness of Indonesia’s automotive industry. Keywords: New MIDEC, IJEPA, Capacity Building, Automotive IndustryABSTRAKPenelitian ini menganalisis kerja sama Indonesia–Jepang melalui program New Manufacturing Industry Development Center (New MIDEC) dalam upaya penguatan kapasitas industri otomotif Indonesia pada periode 2019–2024. Kata kunci: New MIDEC, IJEPA, Capacity Building, Industri Otomotif
