Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mensintesis pengaruh model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam pendidikan biologi melalui tinjauan pustaka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Tinjauan Pustaka Sistematis (SLR), menganalisis delapan artikel ilmiah terakreditasi yang diperoleh dari basis data Google Scholar yang mencakup tahun 2012–2025. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL secara konsisten memiliki dampak positif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan rata-rata skor posttest di kelas eksperimen, serta hasil uji statistik yang menunjukkan tingkat signifikansi <0,05 pada sebagian besar studi yang dianalisis. Peningkatan ini terjadi karena model PBL menyajikan masalah kontekstual yang mendorong siswa untuk menganalisis, berpikir sistematis, dan mengembangkan solusi baik secara mandiri maupun kolaboratif. Selain itu, PBL meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga pemahaman konseptual menjadi lebih bermakna. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam pendidikan Biologi.

Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21, khususnya dalam pembelajaran Biologi yang menuntut kemampuan analisis data, interpretasi grafik, dan pemecahan masalah berbasis kuantitatif. Namun, berbagai hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi siswa di tingkat sekolah menengah masih tergolong rendah, terutama dalam menghubungkan konsep Biologi dengan data numerik secara kontekstual. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dinilai efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut adalah Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa dalam pembelajaran Biologi melalui studi literatur. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelaah berbagai artikel ilmiah, jurnal nasional dan internasional yang relevan dalam kurun waktu lima tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa karena pembelajaran berpusat pada masalah nyata yang menuntut siswa untuk menganalisis data, melakukan perhitungan, serta menarik kesimpulan secara logis. Selain itu, PBL juga mendorong keterampilan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan pemahaman konsep yang lebih mendalam. Simpulan dalam kajian ini adalah model Problem Based Learning memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan numerasi siswa dalam pembelajaran Biologi di SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode latihan (drill) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Program Vokasi Dasar di SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental, khususnya Desain Kelompok Kontrol Tidak Setara (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). Sampel terdiri dari 70 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan Uji T Sampel Independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen (78,57) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (63,06). Uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) kurang dari 0,05, artinya metode latihan (drill) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, metode latihan (drill) efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, terutama pada materi berbasis keterampilan praktik.

Abstract

Learning media serve as a means to facilitate the delivery of material so that the learning process can run optimally. However, their utilization is still limited in variation and interactivity, causing students to feel bored and less motivated to participate in learning, especially in complex topics such as ecosystems. This study aims to develop flashcard media in gamified biology learning on ecosystem material that are valid and practical. This research is categorized as development research using the 4-D model, which includes the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating, but is limited to the development stage. The research subjects consisted of two expert lecturers, one biology teacher, and 34 Phase E students at MAN 1 Bungo. Data were collected through observation sheets, validity questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires, and then analyzed using descriptive techniques. The results indicate that the developed media achieved a validity score of 92.43% with a very valid category. The practicality score assessed by the teacher reached 93.54%, while the students’ assessment was 94.18%, both categorized as very practical. Therefore, the developed media is considered feasible to be used as an alternative in biology learning.

Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in improving the quality of learning, but its use in schools is still limited and less interactive. This has an impact on low student engagement and conceptual understanding, especially in the excretory system material. This study aims to produce valid and practical gamification-based flashcard media. The method used is the 4-D model research and development (Thiagarajan, 1974) which includes the stages of define, design, develop,and disseminate. The research subjects consisted of two expert lecturers, one biology teacher, and 26 Phase F students at SMAN 2 Bukik Barisan. Instruments included observation questionnaires, validity, practicality, and reflection. The results showed that the media was very valid (91.78%) and very practical based on teacher (92.49%) and student (94.48%) responses.

Abstract

Teaching materials are an important aspect that serves as a learning resource for educators and students. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the analysis of the need to develop an interactive e-booklet with a deep learning nuance on the biodiversity material of class X Phase E at SMA Negeri 3 Mukomuko. The research data used instruments for a preliminary study consisting of a biology teacher interview guide sheet and a student observation questionnaire. Then 1 biology teacher and 30 students became the objects of research. The data obtained in the preliminary study were analyzed using qualitative descriptive statistics to determine the need to develop an interactive e-booklet with a deep learning nuance on the biodiversity material of high school. The results of the student analysis stated that 96.7% agreed with the development of teaching materials in the form of an e-booklet. The conclusion of this study is that the development of an interactive e-booklet with a deep learning nuance can be one of the solutions to the problems faced by teachers and students, especially on the biodiversity material of SMA Phase E.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum (Curriculum Merdeka) is a curriculum with diverse intracurricular learning designed to help students understand concepts in depth. This curriculum encourages teachers to develop teaching materials tailored to their students' needs, including teaching modules. Based on the needs analysis, teachers still face challenges in developing teaching modules. This study aims to produce a valid Problem-Based Learning-based teaching module for grade XI high school students on cell material. This research is a research and development study using the Four-D model, limited to three stages: define, design, and develop. The research subjects consisted of three Biology lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padang State University, and three Biology teachers. The results showed a validity value of 92.95%, with a very valid criterion. Thus, the Problem Based Learning-bases teaching module no cell material is suitable for use to support active and meaningful learning in high school.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential competencies that need to be enhanced in science learning. This study aims to determine the effect of the Guided Discovery Learning model assisted by Question Cards on students’ critical thinking skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control control group design. This sample was selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that the implementation percentage was 83% for teacher and 78% for students. In addition, the results of the student response to the implemented learning of 79,41%, suggesting a positive response to the calculated t-value was greater than t-table value (3.65>1.99. These results indicate that is rejected and is accepted, meaning that the Guided Discovery Learning model assisted by Question Cards has a significant effect on students’critical thinking skills at SMP Negeri 5 Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' perceptions of biology learning integrated with Islamic values ​​in MAN throughout Padang Panjang City. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The study population was 277 students of grade XI (phase F) MAN throughout Padang Panjang City, with a sample of 136 students determined using simple random sampling techniques through the Slovin formula. Data were obtained through interviews with biology teachers and the distribution of Likert scale questionnaires consisting of 33 statements. Data were analyzed descriptively using percentages, averages (means) with the help of Excel. The results showed that students' perceptions of the integration of Islamic values ​​in biology learning were in the good category, with a percentage of 27.2% in the very good category, 61% in the good category, and 11.8% in the fairly good category. Results based on indicators indicate that the integration of Islamic values ​​has a positive impact on students' attention, mindset, assessment system, and personality type. Therefore, biology learning integrated with Islamic values ​​can be a holistic learning alternative for enhancing both academic understanding and spiritual values ​​in students at madrasahs.

Abstract

Tragedi bunuh diri seorang siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV di Nusa Tenggara Timur yang dipicu oleh ketidakmampuan menyediakan uang sebesar Rp10.000 untuk membeli buku sekolah menyingkap persoalan mendasar dalam pemahaman kesejahteraan anak di Indonesia. Peristiwa ini terjadi di tengah implementasi Program Makan Bergizi (MBG) yang berfokus pada pemenuhan kebutuhan biologis anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kasus tersebut menggunakan pendekatan psikologi perkembangan dan psikobiologi stres untuk mengkritisi keterbatasan paradigma kebijakan kesejahteraan anak yang bersifat reduksionistik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus konseptual dan kajian literatur interdisipliner. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa stres ekonomi kronis berdampak signifikan terhadap regulasi emosi, fungsi kognitif, dan perkembangan neurobiologis anak, khususnya melalui aktivasi sumbu hipotalamus pituitary adrenal (HPA axis). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pemenuhan gizi tanpa intervensi psikososial dan penguatan ekonomi keluarga berpotensi menciptakan ilusi kesejahteraan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pergeseran kebijakan kesejahteraan anak menuju pendekatan biopsikososial yang terintegrasi antara gizi, kesehatan mental, dan kesejahteraan keluarga.
