Abstract

This study examines teachers' perception of school principals' communication in the management of educational units in schools in coastal areas of Lhokseumawe City. The background is the importance of effective communication to create a conducive work environment and support learning in coastal areas that have unique challenges. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results of the study show that the majority of teachers have a positive perception of the principal's communication. Principals who are skilled in communication are able to direct, motivate, and provide constructive feedback, which improves teacher performance and job satisfaction. These findings support the organizational communication theory by Robbins and Judge (2013) and the transformational leadership theory by Bass and Avolio (1994). The study also found communication challenges related to differences in styles and expectations, but principals who communicate openly and transparently are more effective at overcoming these challenges. The implication is that it is important to develop a communication training program for school principals to improve the quality of education in coastal areas.

Abstract

Nigerian governments have undertaken a number of risky projects over the years to address the populace's strong desire for improved living standards and national growth. This ongoing ambition also made it necessary for the various administrations to come up with a number of development plans that were targeted at the solution. Because of this, this study specifically looked at how national development and governance fit into the picture as the only factors that affect the pipe's tone. However, it is important to stress that when a problem and its origin are well understood, a solution is almost always close at hand. For this reason, the study is heavily focused on concerns pertaining to Nigeria's lack of progress. The study, which mainly relied on the qualitative method of data collection, selected the social development theory as the focal compass to explore the challenges of governance and the national development crises in Nigeria. The study's conclusions show several developmental plans with their own unique conception, goal, perspective, and engineering apparatus. However, a number of these schemes shared a history of inefficiency and structural shortcomings, which made it more difficult for Nigeria to achieve development. The government's inability to implement successful development is due to a number of factors, including poor state institutions, a lack of political will, and various obsolete developmental strategies. The report also suggested that the only things that may truly advance a country's growth are political will, the merit system, stability and continuity of policy programs, and the adoption of the philosophies of the Japanese and Chinese.

Abstract

This study looks at how movies affect Nigerian youth culture, especially for the second generation of millennials”those born between 1995 and 2004. Films have had a significant influence since the late 1920s. In the 1950s, as this medium became more and more popular, worries about possible risks also increased, particularly with regard to young audiences. This study evaluates how important a role film has played in the development of Nigerian youth culture. It also looks at the differences between film and other mass media in terms of how much of an impact film has had on the country's youth culture. The survey method of data collecting and analysis is used in this study, which the cultivation theory of mass communication serves as the pivot. With the use of SPSS software, it also employs descriptive and inferential statistics for data analysis. According to the study, movies have a huge influence on young culture because they can emotionally connect with audiences and depict serious subjects in a way that is agreeable, relatable, and entertaining. Consequently, the study suggested that in order to fully utilize movies' potential as a tool for teaching young people moral principles, cooperation between the Nigerian government and the country's film industry should be established.
