Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of Generation Z leadership in supporting work-life balance implementation and its implications for enhancing professionalism in public service at the Sumbawa Barat Police Traffic Unit. The development of Generation Z leadership characteristics, which are characterised by open communication, collaboration, technological adaptation, and concern for members’ welfare, presents an interesting phenomenon to examine within police organisational environments that have high work demands and are oriented towards public service. This research also identifies supporting and inhibiting factors for Generation Z leadership in realising work-life balance to improve the quality of service to the community. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected from various literature sources, including scientific journals, books, and previous relevant research related to Generation Z leadership, work-life balance, professionalism, and public service. Data analysis involved data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions from findings related to the research focus. The results indicate that Generation Z leadership plays a strategic role in supporting work-life balance through digital technology adoption, open communication, a collaborative work culture, and member empowerment. Supporting factors for implementing work-life balance include the ability to utilise digital technology, transformational leadership, a collaborative work culture, organisational support, and flexible work management. Conversely, inhibiting factors include high public service demands, hierarchical work culture, work-related stress, blurred boundaries between work and personal life due to technological developments, and differing perceptions between organisational generations. Implementing work-life balance has shown positive effects on public service quality, member productivity, job satisfaction, organisational commitment, reduced work-related stress, and increased professionalism in the Sumbawa Barat Police Traffic Unit.

Abstract

This study examines how electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM), national identity, and perceived quality influence the online purchase decisions of Indonesian products among the Indonesian diaspora in Qatar. The study provides insight into the role of digital communication and national identity in shaping consumers' quality evaluations and cross-border purchasing behavior. A quantitative approach was employed using data collected from 200 respondents through purposive sampling and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that e-WOM and national identity positively and significantly affect perceived quality. Furthermore, perceived quality and national identity have positive and significant effects on purchase decisions. Perceived quality also partially mediates the relationship between national identity and purchase decisions. The findings are discussed from the perspectives of digital communication and social identity, emphasizing the interaction between online information and consumers' attachment to their home country. The study demonstrates that the purchase decisions of the Indonesian diaspora are shaped not only by national identity but also by quality perceptions developed through digital communication.

Abstract

Property technology (PropTech) applications are growing rapidly in Indonesia, especially in the Greater Jakarta area, reflecting the increasing demand for efficient digital property transactions. This study seeks to assess the factors that influence users' intention to engage with PropTech applications using a model that combines variables such as Perceived Usability, Perceived Ease of Use, Trustworthiness, Accuracy of Perceived Information, and Quality of Perceived Information. The data were analyzed using a research model developed from previous literature, adopting a modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that incorporates several relevant factors influencing the adoption of Property Technology (PropTech) applications. Perceived Compatibility, Perceived Risk, and Social Influence. The data were collected through a survey involving 400 Indonesian respondents living in Greater Jakarta. The findings show that factors such as perceived usability, trust, and social Influence significantly influence users' intent to use PropTech applications. This research offers valuable insights for improving marketing strategies and improving service quality among PropTech application providers. These results underscore that utility, information quality, and social Influence are the main drivers for adopting PropTech solutions, while trust and risk serve as mediators that increase perceived usability.

Abstract

Digital transformation is reshaping how Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) organize administration, learning, communication, and stakeholder services. This study primarily employed a qualitative approach within a convergent mixed-method design to examine how two pesantren respond to digital change, identify its effects on institutional governance, and formulate a value-based model for digital transformation. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, while quantitative data from a structured questionnaire administered to 30 students were used to support and triangulate the qualitative findings. The analysis revealed an adaptive-selective strategy: technology is adopted when it aligns with institutional values, provides practical benefits, and presents manageable risks. Digitalization improves administrative efficiency, access to learning resources, communication with parents, transparency, and public trust, while face-to-face Qur'anic transmission, bandongan, sorogan, and character formation remain central. Key challenges include unequal digital literacy, infrastructure and maintenance costs, data-security risks, inappropriate content, and fragmented systems. Based on these two institutional cases, the study proposes an Adaptive-Conservative Model for Digital Transformation in Pesantren, consisting of value foundations, governance transformation, learning innovation, and ecosystem strengthening. The model is context-specific and requires broader empirical testing before wider application.
