Abstract

Essay is writing activities for practice or exercise, such as composing sentence with their knowledge. The purpose of this study focuses on students’ difficulties and the strategies to overcome the difficulties faced in writing essay at Masoem University.  To collect the data, a questionnaire adapted from was distributed to all of 4th semester students and semi-structured interview was addressed to nine participants. The questionnarie from contains various difficulties in essay writing process that include prewriting, coherence, cohesion, lexical and mechanic difficulties. The interview guideline from was employed to collect data regarding strategies used by students in overcoming their difficulties in essay writing.  The results show that the most difficulties is occur in mechanic, it can solved with five strategies such as making outline, find the appropriate resources, drafting, pause and reading, edit and revising. The implication of this research is useful for students as guideline for essay making, and for lecturer to make essay subject more complex

Abstract

In the view of social professions such as counseling and psychotherapy, empathy plays an important role as a bridge to build an effective therapeutic relationship so that the counselor can understand the client's experience, a low level of empathy will clearly indicate a destructive nature of the relationship between the client and the counselor. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of classical guidance services in developing empathy for students of the guidance and counseling study program at Ma'soem University class of 2023. A quantitative method with a type of pre-experimental research of one group pre-test post-test design was used in this study, the population of 42 students with the use of saturated samples. The measuring tool used is the Empathy Scale for Prospective Counselor (ESPC) which was developed based on Segal's theory (2018). The results showed that the significance value of 0.875 and the Tcount value of -158 showed that there was no difference between the pre-test score and the post-test score, meaning that classical guidance services were not effective in developing empathy, Thus, in this study, H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected.

Abstract

This study is motivated by low academic self-confidence which can reduce students' learning motivation in completing school assignments. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of academic self-confidence of grade X students of SMA Plus Al-Aqsha Cibeusi in the 2023/2024 school year. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a population of all X grade students totaling 136 students. The sampling technique used saturated samples, so that the entire population was sampled. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and distribution of self-confidence instruments with a Likert scale. The validity test was carried out on 54 items and obtained 31 valid questions using the Product Moment formula with a significance of 5%. Reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient obtained a value of 0.719, indicating a reliable instrument. Normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov showed a significance of 0.613, so the data was normally distributed. Data analysis used descriptive statistics with frequency distribution to categorize self-confidence in the high, medium, and low categories. The results showed 16 students (12%) were in the high category, 119 students (88%) in the medium category, and 1 student (1%) in the low category.

Abstract

This study is based on the decline in the number of IB Hijrah current account customers which is suspected to be influenced by the bank's reputation where customer assessments of the services provided by Bank Muamalat are considered less than good, as well as product innovation factors such as the development of digital access that is not yet optimal. This study aims to determine the effect of bank reputation and product innovation on customer decisions at Bank Muamalat KCP Rancaekek. The object of the study is IB Hijrah current account customers, the type of research is associative quantitative, the type of data is primary data, data collection techniques are in the form of observation, interviews, literature studies and questionnaires. The population is IB Hijrah current account customers in 2023 with a sample of 57 people. The results of the study show that bank reputation and product innovation partially influence decisions by 67.3% and 59.1%, while simultaneously they influence by 75%.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of price and service quality on purchasing decisions at Superindo in Sumedang Regency, Indonesia. The rapid growth of modern retail and shifting consumer lifestyles have intensified competition, making price and service quality critical factors in attracting customers. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 385 respondents and analyzed using SPSS 25.0 with linear regression, correlation, and hypothesis testing. Results indicate that price has a dominant positive effect, contributing 58% to purchasing decisions, while service quality contributes 27%. Simultaneously, both variables explain 60% of purchasing decision variance (R² = 0.608), with the remaining 40% influenced by unexamined factors like promotions or product availability. The findings align with previous studies but highlight the unique dynamics of mid-to-high-class retail in urban-rural areas. For Superindo, maintaining competitive pricing and improving service efficiency (e.g., staff responsiveness, checkout speed) are essential strategies. This research underscores the importance of balancing economic and experiential factors in retail, offering practical insights for market segmentation in similar regions.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital payment systems has encouraged businesses to adopt more efficient transaction methods, such as QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). Amid growing competition, service quality remains a crucial aspect in retaining customers. This study aims to analyze the extent to which QRIS usage and service quality influence customer loyalty. The research was conducted at CV Laris Barokah using a quantitative approach. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to consumers who had used QRIS for transactions. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test both simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on customer loyalty. The findings indicate that QRIS usage has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. However, service quality emerges as a stronger and more dominant factor in shaping long-term customer relationships. These results highlight that while digital payment adoption is essential for offering convenience, the role of excellent service cannot be overlooked in fostering sustained customer loyalty. Therefore, businesses must strike a balance between digital innovation and continuous service quality improvement to ensure long-term customer commitment.

Abstract

Salted eggs are a form of processed duck eggs that are processed using the addition of a certain amount of salt. This study aims to obtain the best variety of salt administration with the addition of lactobacilus acidophilus bacteria to the characteristics of salted eggs in terms of salt content, protein cholesterol, and consumer preference. The study used a Complete Random Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 5 replicates. The collected data was analyzed using variance analysis (ANOVA) and if there was a significant difference, it was followed by a DMRT distance. The results showed that the best variations in salt treatment with the addition of L.acidophilus ATCC are present in P1 treatment with cholesterol levels were content of 667.20 mg. protein levels were content of 13.30%, salt level were content of 3,372 % and the best values ??for color, taste, flavor and texture respectively were 4.39 (like to very very like), 3,60 (netral to like), 4.28 (like to very very like), 4.49 ( like to very very like)

Abstract

Shopee is a marketplace that is often visited throughout 2023 among other marketplaces, even though Shopee is the most visited marketplace, there are still many complaints experienced by consumers regarding product purchases at Shopee, inconsistent product quality problems and prices that are not in accordance with product quality. This study aims to determine the influence of price and product quality on simultaneous or partial purchase decisions on the Shopee application. The method used in this study is quantitative with the type of primary data and uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and questionnaires. Meanwhile, the sampling technique is non-probability sampling. The object of the research was the people in Solokanjeruk Village who were active in online shopping on the Shopee marketplace which amounted to 9,622 people with a sample of 100 people. The results of the research of Shopee users in Solokanjeruk Village show that there is a significant influence between the price on the purchase decision of 54.4% for the R2 test and the results of the t-test where the value of t is calculated > t tabel (10.811 > 1.984) meaning that Ha1 is accepted, there is a significant influence between product quality on the purchase decision of 49.9% for the R2 test with the results of the t-test where the t-value is > ttabel (9.889 > 1.984) means that Ha2 is accepted,  and simultaneously there was a significant influence between price and product quality on purchase decisions of 61.9% for the R2 test with the results of the F test where the F value was calculated > F tabel (78.913 > 2.36).

Abstract

Based on the results of observations, the background to this research is that there are several financial ratios that are experiencing fluctuations as well as to determine the level of bank health at Bank BJB for the 2019-2023 period. This research aims to determine the health level of Bank BJB for the 2019-2023 period using the RGEC method. The research factors used are Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earning and Capital factors. The type of research in this report is descriptive quantitative. The data used is secondary data in the form of BJB Bank financial reports and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) website. The research results show that the health level of Bank BJB according to the Risk Profile factor for NPL received the title Very Healthy and for LDR Fairly Healthy. The Good Corporate Governance factor received a healthy predicate. The Earning Factor for NIM received the title Very Healthy and for ROA Healthy. And the Capital CAR Factor has the title of Very Healthy. The data anakysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations, the background to this research is the tendency for fluctuations in Batara iB Savings customers at Bank BTN Syariah Bandung Branch Office. It is influenced by, among other things, the reduced perceived value of customers in saving due to minimal service and less than satisfactory transactional facilities. Lack of switching barriers (Switching Barriers) by banks resulting in a decline, customers moving payroll, many offers from other banks and customer environmental factors that require switching. This research aims to determine the influence of Customer Perceived Value and Switching Barriers on Customer Retention of Batara iB Savings Products at Bank BTN Syariah Bandung Branch Office, both partially and simultaneously.The object of the research is Batara iB Savings customers at Bank BTN Syariah Bandung Branch Office. The type of research is associative quantitative with primary data types and uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, literature studies and questionnaires. Meanwhile, the sampling technique is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling type. The population is all Batara iB Savings customers at Bank BTN Syariah Bandung Branch Office, totaling 1,019 people with a sample of 92 people. The results of the research show that Customer Perceived Value and Swithching Barriers partially influence Customer Retention by 60,3% and 43,6%, while simultaneously the influence is 68,6%.
