Abstract

The aim of this service activity is to increase the understanding of Entrop Elementary School teachers about one of the basic concepts of mathematics, namely prime factorization, its application in solving mathematical problems, as well as creative aids that can be used in teaching the concept to students. The method used is the explanation of mathematical concepts about factors, prime factors, and prime factorization of a number with examples of its application in solving mathematical problems. After that, examples of teaching aids which can be used to explain prime factorization to students are given. The result of this activity is an increase in the understanding of Entrop Public Elementary School teachers about the mathematical concepts of prime factorization, this can be seen by comparing their pre-test and post-test scores. Of the 23 teachers who participated in the activity, 80% experienced an increase in the understanding of the concept.Keywords: entrop, factors, prime factors, prime factorization, mathematic

Abstract

The unability in reading, writing and counting of the elementary school students will become a serious problem, facing the more complex lesson. The purpose of this activity was to provide a short training of student about  reading, writing and numeration literacy. The participants were children came from weak economic family, class 1 to 3 of the elementary school. Observation before and after training prove that the learning process, using variation method, was able to improve the student competency in reading, writing and counting. Keywords: reading, writing, numeration literacy, elementary school

Abstract

PKM Law clinic formil in a marriage performed for the Distrik Sentani Timur on their Kampung Asei Kecil and Kampung Harapan Nolokla. Basically the province of Papua are still abnormally low level of community knowledge about the implementation of lawful matrimony according to the law number 1 of 1974 about the marriages. District of Sentani Timur still have higher rates of domestic violence is a to alamoth probably the treble because of the limited the knowledge of a community in protect of the rights. Peoples insight to which most of the work as farmers and fishermen .The people living in village’s Asei Kecil and village’s Harapan Nolokla a lot of do not know a result of not marriages between the single last year, so that an increasing number of households the proportion who experienced violence especially was happening in the wife who escorted them on. A virtuous and worthy wife do not have a marriage certificate will be more will be done to anyone in the law of national. Method in the implementation of the PKM this by means of talk and discussions with the purpose of open peoples insight about the importance of registration marriage, technical training and assistance directly involving an advocate, population and civil last, the board the customs and religious leaders local. The outer covering of PKM this is increase the amount of community awareness of the importance of the implementation of lawful matrimony according to legislative regulations, and the issuance of the marriage certificate, other the population documents namely family card, an identity card. Abstract

This healthy lifestyle training activity is intended for students around the Perumahan Polda-Bhayangkara Buper Distrik Heram Kota Jayapura Propinsi Papua. Healthy lifestyle training activities are intended for students because they are easier to train a healthy lifestyle from an early age. By knowing healthy behavior from an early age, the trainees will be easier to do it from the beginning so that the formation of healthy behaviors is more easily achieved. The focus of this activity is focused on healthy lifestyle material through eating, drinking, hand washing and bathing. There were twenty school children around this housing complex who participated in this activity. This activity is carried out for three days. Material about health, especially the benefits of hand washing, healthy food, healthy drinks and the benefits of regular and clean baths. Also carried out in this activity is practice and guidance on how to wash your hands properly with cleansing soap. Healthy eating and drinking activities are also carried out along with a menu of bolu cakes, green beans, pudding and milk. At the end of the training there were tools for brushing teeth, toothpaste, notebooks and stationery for them. Through this healthy lifestyle training program the participants gained insight into doing a healthy lifestyle, practiced some healthy behaviors and got a tooth brushing tool. The hope is that by practicing some of these healthy behaviors during the training, these can be continued in daily life with the support of various parties, especially in their family.Keywords: Healthy lifestyle, training, students, Jayapura, Papua

Abstract

The application of science and technology in the form of counseling  "Anti-Corruption Education in Forming of Integrated Young Generation" is carried out at the BKKBN GenRe (Generasi Remaja) Ambassador Activity of Papua Province and Pentecostal Children's Services (Pelnap) throughout Jayapura City, with the consideration that each represents the age of adolescents and children school age. The purpose of this research and counseling is to know and understand what is corruption and also to know and understand the causes and forms of corruption. The results of this dedication are, the material provided in counseling on"Anti-Corruption Education in Forming of Integrated Young Generation  can be well received by extension participants with indicators of good responses and responses from participants with various weighted questions raised at the time of counseling take place. Finally, it is expected that counseling on anti-corruption education must be routinely carried out especially for adolescents and school-age children in the context of establishing children's integrity and also as a preventive measure in suppressing future corruption rates, and also as a form of business in establishing the nation's personal child who is honest, great and has the character of a wistle blower. Keywords: Corruption, Anti-Corruption, and Integrated

Abstract

Illiteracy is the basis of human knowledge. By reading humans can improve their quality. The purpose of this community service activity is to establish a Community Learning House (RBK) to the illiterate community in Yabema village, Elelim District, Yalimo Regency, so that the community is able to read, write and count. The activity method consists of six stages, namely problem identification, planning process, projection, assessment, evaluation, and monitoring. The results achieved from the community empowerment program through Community Learning Centers (RBK) for the illiterate community in Yabema Village have a significant influence in motivating participants, increasing readiness for learning, increasing the ability of calistung (reading, writing and arithmetic) and communication and enhancing functional skills (for example, can read identity card, write names, and make simple sentences). Keywords: Illiteracy, Community Learning Centers, Yabema, Yalimo
