Abstract

The BKKBN is one of the institutions that actively provides educational opportunities through Instagram. This research aimed to establish whether the level of the information supplied on Instagram by @bkkbnofficial impacted the public's perception of BKKBN and how much of an impact that information had. The theory that is utilized is the theory of agenda setting. This study applies a quantitative methodology, and the data collection is accomplished utilizing a survey. The sampling of 400 respondents using the simple random sampling method indicates that population members are selected following specific considerations and by distributing questionnaires through Google Forms. The ideas of Information and Image Quality were utilized in the process of carrying out this research. According to the findings of this investigation, the standard of information provided on Instagram by BKKBN's official account influences the brand's public perception. While the effect of the quality of information posted on Instagram by BKKBN Official (@bkkbnofficial) has a 61.1% influence on the image of BKKBN, the impact of other elements that were not included in this study can be much more significant.

Abstract

This research is aimed at visualizing water in Tutup Ngisor village that is specifically used for traditional rituals in 3D anaglyph photography. A qualitative study by observation, Tutup Ngisor community figures interview, and a literature study was done in collecting the data. The result from those processes can be concluded that apart from agricultural and household needs, Tutup Ngisor has water guarded in such a way and originates from more than 144 water springs. The water is made through a long process of prayers and meditation and is also used and utilized for ritual purposes, treatment, and community special needs. Based on those facts, two 3D anaglyph photography artworks are made, which portray the process of creating water for traditional rituals in Tutup Ngisor village. Abstract

Communication is part of the development of information technology for cultural health. The development of communication, such as visual communication with digitization, has rapidly discovered health issues from the history of humankind. Digitizing archaeological remains in 3 dimensions is a new technology, one of which is the model of an early human skull at the Plawangan Site. The 3-dimensional shape of the early human skull model at the Plawangan site shows pathological articulations in minor shapes, especially on the teeth, which can explain health status information. This study aims to describe the communication that can be conveyed through visual communication of the dental health status of early humans at the Plawangan Site. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a constructivist paradigm and a 3-dimensional observational data collection technique using early human teeth at the Plawangan Site. The data analysis technique used is qualitative analysis and macroscopic analysis. From the teeth of early humans from the Plawangan Site, it can be shown that communication phenomena about maritime and agricultural activities impact dental health and are indications of dental disease. The need for survival, processed food, and limited assistive devices caused tooth decay, and molluscs and rice also indicated dietary patterns that affected the dental health of early humans at the Plawangan Site during their lifetime. Abstract

Political communication has expanded into the virtual world through video games, as seen in Command & Conquer: Generals. This research uses online qualitative methods with a text analysis approach and semiotic theory to identify meaning in the game. The results of the study reveal the aim of the game to highlight the strength of the post-collapse of the Soviet Union, position the Islamic world as terrorists, and legitimize the US attack on Iraq. This game also utilizes the global scenario after the 9/11 WTC incident, showing the Arab region as a terrorist base for control of oil fields. Arms sales are also shown to be a source of profit, both to the GLA and to Middle Eastern countries involved in the conflict. The following research will focus on political communication models in the 2024 Republic of Indonesia presidential election and the development of political communication applications until 2026. Abstract

When starting and growing businesses, budding entrepreneurs in coastal tourism areas face various challenges and opportunities. Family and community support, access to social media, government cooperation, and cross-sector collaboration offer valuable resources but also introduce market and regulatory navigation complexities. To provide insights into effective strategies to encourage more involvement in entrepreneurship, focusing on integrating communication strategies in coastal tourism areas. A qualitative approach is used through case studies, with primary data collected from budding entrepreneurs in the coastal tourism sector through in-depth interviews, observations, and content analysis demonstrating the importance of building strong communication networks through stakeholder collaboration to help entrepreneurs overcome initial challenges and capitalise on opportunities. Establishing communication networks is critical for entrepreneurial success, with family and community support providing an essential foundation for business growth and development. Communication strategies developed by the government and relevant agencies should include elements that support the formation of these networks, ensure adequate socialisation, and provide complete and accurate information to new entrepreneurs to guide them through the entrepreneurial process. Abstract

The critical role of entrepreneurship in stimulating innovation and fostering economic growth is well-recognized in academic and policy circles. Specifically, university student entrepreneurs represent a dynamic demographic that contributes to this financial and innovative drive. Student entrepreneurs often face considerable challenges in starting and growing their businesses despite their potential. One of the key obstacles is the procurement of necessary capital to fund their entrepreneurial ventures. While many financial institutions offer a variety of loan schemes specifically designed to facilitate entrepreneurship, there is a noticeable reluctance among student entrepreneurs to take advantage of these financial products. Few studies have investigated the reasons for and consequences of this hesitation towards these financing mechanisms within academic institutions. This paper proposes a conceptual research framework related to the issue of lack of interest in loan acquisition among student entrepreneurs, a complex problem with potential long-term implications. The framework situates acquiring and using information within several contextual factors. By investigating the factors behind this lack of interest, this study aims to understand better student entrepreneurs’ financial behaviours, which could inform the design of financial products and support measures that cater to their specific needs. This research has the potential to significantly impact the strategies of financial institutions, policymakers, and university entrepreneurship programs, ultimately fostering the growth of student entrepreneurship. Abstract

In a film, meanings often emerge and are usually implicit. The meaning conveyed can be through the cast's conversations, the background of the filming, and even the cast's makeup. The abstract meaning that emerges from the elements in the film encourages researchers to analyze the makeup of the characters in the movie 'Perempuan Tanah Jahanam.' Through the phenomenon above, the research aims to determine changes in the character of Nyi Misni through the makeup worn by the characters in the film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam. By using qualitative research methods and using a content analysis approach. The results of this study show that the makeup techniques used by the character Nyi Misni in the film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam influence character changes, and three makeup techniques are used. This film features corrective makeup, character makeup, special effects makeup, and prosthetic makeup. The conclusion of this study is the makeup used by the characters who have a significant role in supporting the change in Nyi Misni's character in this film. Moreover, in this film, timeline changes occur during the storyline, so using the right makeup technique is very helpful in showing character changes through the characters' appearance. Abstract

Among the numerous verbal narrative structures in the archipelago, Hikayat stands out as one of the oral traditions that has flourished in the eastern regions of the archipelago, particularly in the North Maluku area. One of the Hikayats that has gained widespread popularity in North Maluku society is the Hikayat 7 Putri. This Hikayat is believed to be the genesis or foundation of establishing four major Sultanates in North Maluku: the Sultanates of Jailolo, Bacan, Tidore, and Ternate. Based on the abovementioned description, conducting an in-depth study or research regarding the environment depicted in the Hikayat 7 Putri is necessary. The narrative unfolds various structures describing the environment (location) where the story takes place. The narration delves into the terrestrial-sky-terrestrial region, which serves as the primary setting in the story. From the visualization of this environment, it could potentially become an effective medium of mass communication. In examining or researching the Hikayat 7 Putri of North Maluku, various theoretical approaches are required to dissect its narrative structure. The visual narrative theory serves as the primary analytical tool in this study, and it is complemented by the ecological (ecosystem) theory in exploring the cultural (geographical) data of North Maluku society. The Visual Narrative theory is considered capable of dissecting the story's environmental structure (location) in the North Maluku region, which serves as the Ecological (ecosystem) structure of the Hikayat 7 Putri itself. Consequently, this narrative approach can be visualized broadly and translated in detail through scientific analysis, serving as an effective medium of mass communication. Abstract

Waste management is essential for environmental sustainability and public health. Handling hazardous and toxic waste (B3) is part of this process. B3 waste with its characteristics (infectious, corrosive, liquids and flammable solids as well as others). If this material is not handled or disposed of properly, it can harm the environment and human health. Company B3 waste management must be carried out effectively by companies that produce waste from their activities. Green Marketing is a strategy to prioritize the market for environmentally friendly products to meet customer demands and preferences (Nugrahaa et al., 2024). In these marketing activities, persuasion in personal selling is essential in promoting and retaining consumers and maintaining good relationships with business clients involved in waste management. The two fundamental theories are the idea of face-to-face selling and the message theory of persuasive communication (authority, credibility, and attractiveness). The qualitative descriptive methodology used in this research involves conducting interviews to collect data. In green marketing, businesses need to create attractive communications to increase persuasion. The seven steps of Personal Selling (Prospect and Qualification, Pre-approach, Approach, Presentation, Demonstration, Objection Handling, Closing, and Follow-up) are communication ideas used to offer B2B products and services. This research found that customers considered green marketing efforts in waste management marketing when deciding to cooperate and continue using PT TSA services. Abstract

To communicate innovation is one of the main drivers of growth in the bamboo industry to be sustainable. Implementing innovative ideas into practice is a challenge, as every party such as production, designer and even stakeholders should have the same objectives for achieving the goals. Innovation communication is important to break the old paradigm and face new challenges, misunderstanding has to be reduced, in order for new products to be created. Moreover, it is one of the major catalysts behind new ideas and concepts taking root within an organization. Studio Dapur, a social enterprise, is working with the best bamboo artists to create a sustainable, mutual, and inclusive bamboo craft sector. This also supports Indonesia as the Chair of ASEAN 2023 where Indonesia wants to bring ASEAN into an area that has an important role for regional countries and the world, especially as a centre of economic growth, the engine of peace, and regional prosperity. To make this happen, three pillars of Priorities Economic  Deliverables have been developed. As a result, effective innovation communication plays a crucial role in breaking old paradigms, overcoming challenges, and fostering the creation of new bamboo products. By embracing innovative ideas and involving multiple stakeholders, Studio Dapur sets an example for the industry and contributes to the economic growth, peace, and regional prosperity envisioned by ASEAN.
