Abstract

As time goes by, more and more new factories appear producing different products. The manufacturing industry is related to tools that support the creation of a corn and grain processing process. PT. Seger Agro Nusantara is a company processing agricultural products such as rice and corn. One of the tools used at PT. Seger Agro Nusantara (SAN) is a forklift to help reduce worker energy in lifting and moving goods. The problem that often occurs with forklifts is the hydraulics. Hydraulics are the main part of a forklift which functions to move, lift and move goods from one place to another. The advantages and disadvantages of hydraulics are that they can transfer large amounts of power using only relatively small components, operate smoothly, do not cause noise or unimportant vibrations in the machine, can be rotated in the reverse direction (reversible), make it easy to move heavy materials in one lift. , or moving goods up to tons in weight. And the service life is quite long, so you can save on the cost of buying new equipment. Meanwhile, the disadvantage is that it requires intensive and regular maintenance. One method that can be used to find the root cause of a problem is a fishbone diagram. Because the fishbone diagram already knows the problem but doesn't know the cause.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an automated warehouse storage system using Factory I/O and Siemens S7-1200 PLC. This research was conducted at the Control and Automation Laboratory of the ATI Makassar Polytechnic from July to September 2023. The research method used is quantitative deductive with an experimental approach, including the steps of literature study, system requirements analysis, state diagram design, and system testing through virtual simulation. The algorithm used is a state diagram algorithm consisting of ten states, namely: standby mode, entry to loader, fork left, lift up, fork middle, target position, fork right, lift down, fork middle, and home position. The results of the study showed that the state diagram algorithm was successfully converted into 14 networks (RUNG) in the PLC ladder, consisting of one RUNG for Flowchart (Indicator RUN), ten RUNG for state diagrams, and three RUNG for output devices (Fork Left, Fork Right, and Lift). The automated warehouse storage system successfully automates the process of storing cargo in the form of boxes and pallets from the first rack to the 54th rack automatically. This study shows that the automated warehouse storage system can run according to the planned design and provide significant contributions to the DCS and SCADA practicum at the ATI Makassar Polytechnic.

Abstract

The WWTP Building Construction Project is one of the projects engaged in the construction sector, where in the process there are various potential hazards that have an impact on work accidents and even occupational diseases (PAK). Therefore, with the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment And Risk Control (HIRARC) method is a worksheet that is appropriate or can be applied to the construction of the WWTP Building. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential hazards and assess the K3 risk in the construction of the WWTP Building. This type of research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive-observational approach and a survey study design because it provides an overview of the potential hazards and risks in the construction of the WWTP Building using the HIRARC method. The results of the study showed that in the lightweight brick installation process, 20 potential hazards were identified, while the highest risk category was high risk 52% and the highest risk category was extreme risk 14%. In the plaster and cement wall work, 4 potential hazards were identified, while the highest risk category was moderate risk 60% and the highest risk category was high risk 40%. In ceramic work, 10 potential hazards were identified, while the highest and most risk categories were high risk 67%. In the gypsum partition wall work, 11 potential hazards were identified, while the highest risk category was moderate risk 56% and the highest risk category was extreme risk 22%. In the ladder work, 28 potential hazards were identified, while the highest risk category was moderate risk 47% and the highest risk category was extreme risk 24%.

Abstract

CV FSA is a company engaged in the printing sector. The main printing produced in this company is labels for various types of vegetables. A production activity needs to be planned well. In the process of producing labels, the production planning carried out by the company has not been effective because there are still labels that have not reached the production quantity, namely 33369 sweet mustard labels. This can reduce consumer satisfaction with the company. Therefore, there needs to be effective label production planning in the future. To estimate the number of future order requests, it can be done using the forecasting method. In this study, the forecasting method used is Additive Decomposition. This study aims to plan the production of sweet mustard labels from November 2023 to October 2024. The company only produces labels when there are orders from customers or make to order, so the production planning method that can be used is the chase strategy. The calculation results using the chase strategy method obtained the number of sweet mustard greens label production during regular hours in November 2023 to October 2024 were 9037, 9626, 9757, 9350, 9735, 8681, 9970, 9361, 10057, 8788, 9391, 9661 pcs with the largest number of workers needed being 5 people.

Abstract

Acceleration of the process in product design is very important today. Thus, the time the product reaches the consumer is faster. The process of preparing and testing cartridges often takes time and resources, resulting in production delays and potentially affecting customer satisfaction and also wasting water resources used for testing. Product testing serves to validate product quality whether it is in accordance with specifications. This study was conducted to determine the causes and corrective actions for the length of the testing process carried out by the R&D team. The method used in this research process is Seven Tools. With additional calculations of NGT and 5W1H. From the analysis of the results obtained, the most dominant problem is the length of the test preparation process for the cartridge mechanism with a time value of 1980 minutes with a percentage of 70.7%. The most dominant problems include the fixed jig design so that it cannot be adjusted (NGT value 30) and the long dandori time (NGT value 25). The corrective actions that need to be taken for the 2 dominant causes of the problem are to repair the jig that originally could not be adjusted or set to make or repair a jig that can be set or adjusted. The results of this study are expected to be a future reference in the design process of jigs or testing process aids so that they are easy to use.

Abstract

PT Heksa Artha Sakti merupakan anak perusahaan Heksa Grup, yang bertanggung jawab mendistribusikan semua produk dari Heksa Grub. Kantor distributor PT. Heksa artha sakti terdapat hampir di seluruh indonesia, Di tengah persaingan yang berat di Indonesia, PT. Heksa artha sakti mempunyai pesaing yang memiliki porsi pasar yang sangat besar juga sehingga membuat tidak stabinya penjualan selama enam bulan yang menjadi indikasi akan kebutuhan untuk melakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan manajemen pemasaran perusahaan itu sendiri.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyesuaikan kriteria yang telah dirangking dan ditimbang serta membantu pengambil keputusan dengan visi dan misi perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT dan Analytic Network Process (ANP). pemilihan strategi perusahaan yang dipertimbangkan pada PT Heksa Artha Sakti ialah Kemampuan managemen perusahaan (0.121335), Perusahaan memiliki sarana yang memadai (0.088277), produk berkualitas tinggi (0.111173), dan menggunakan teknologi yang kurang modern dalam memproduksi (0.081609). keempat subkriteria merupakan Karena berdasarkan hasil analisis prioritas ANP, responden memberikan prioritas tertinggi pada subkriteria tersebut. Hasil analisis prioritas ANP menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan strategi yang tepat untuk perusahaan yaitu prioritas 1 menjalin hubungan dengan customer baru , Perluasan area pemasaran dengan menggunakan teknik penjualan serta menggunakan teknologi yang ada dan melakukan pembelian bahan baku cost sedang kualitas sama memiliki bobot tertinggi berdasarkan nilai limiting yaitu 0.067936, ini membuktikan bahwa penting untuk melakukan perbaikan pada manajemen khususnya pada bidang pemasaran untuk tercapainya tujuan perusahaan.

Abstract

The process of installing clips and wiring on the dump truck assembly line with an uncomfortable working posture of the operator, so that complaints due to fatigue often occur. This is because at the time of installation the part the operator has to bend because it is blocked by the battery. This study aims to assess the operator's work posture during the process of installing the clips and wiring, so that the risks obtained due to fatigue due to work can be known. The method used in this study is the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method. This method begins by distributing the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire to find out which parts of the body feel pain and fatigue. Based on the measurement results, the angle of the upper arm is 450 – 900 with a score value = 3, the lower arm is formed with an angle of 00 – 600 with a score = 2, the wrist part forms an angle of >150 with a score = 2. The results of the RULA table assessment based on the angles formed for each section, namely part A score=7, part B score 11, and part C score as end=7 are included in the high risk. Recommendations that can be given for high risk are observation and application of remedies.

Abstract

PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk is one of the largest cement producers in Indonesia and has been established since 1975 with a production capacity of 4.3 million tons per year, this aims to meet the demand for cement needed by the Indonesian people. This study aims to forecast the demand for limestone raw materials at PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Plant Cirebon. The data used is limestone raw material demand data from January 2023 to December 2023. The Time Series method is an analysis method to make a forecast needed in the future. The variables used in this study are the demand for limestone raw materials in a certain period as a bound variable and the time period (months) as an independent variable. There are three types of method models used in this study, namely the Moving Average Method, Exponential Smoothing, and Trend Analysis. The error rate in the forecasting results was tested using the results of the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) value. Based on the results of the MAPE calculation that has been obtained as the best limestone raw material demand forecasting model, namely by using the Trend Analysis method because the method has the smallest forecasting error rate, which is 30.832%.

Abstract

The concept of halal logistics is getting more attention, especially in the field of distribution and transportation, in line with the increasing demand for halal products in the global market. This study aims to determine the development of the implementation of halal logistics in courier companies in Indonesia using the method of review and literature study. Currently, there are technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain to help in halal logistics tracking and traceability systems, which can open up opportunities for further innovation in the logistics sector. In Indonesia, there is only one courier company that already has halal certification. However, in its implementation, of course, there are still many problems and challenges faced. One of the biggest challenges is the lack of understanding of halal logistics concepts and standards among courier companies and industry players. Many courier companies do not fully understand halal requirements, both in terms of storage, transportation, and product handling. With a commitment to meeting halal standards and using the right technology, courier companies in Indonesia have a great opportunity to play a more strategic role in supporting halal supply chains domestically and around the world.

Abstract

CV. XYZ Furniture, a company engaged in the rattan furniture industry in West Sumatra. This research aims to evaluate production strategies. Currently, the company implements an efficiency strategy by producing a constant number of guest chairs every period. However, this strategy poses problems in meeting customer demand during a spike, resulting in potential customer loss. This research explores changing strategies towards responsiveness as a solution to increase flexibility and meet customer needs more optimally. The methodology used is a case study through supply chain analysis, especially in the aspects of production, inventory, and logistics. The results of the study show that the implementation of a responsive strategy is able to increase customer satisfaction and improve supply chain performance, although it requires more careful cost management to overcome potential overtime costs and inventory. To overcome this, CV. XYZ Furniture needs to implement a Just-In-Time (JIT) or Pull System, as well as utilize information technology to improve supply chain communication. With a more responsive strategy, companies can improve competitiveness and profitability in the rattan furniture industry
