Abstract

This research was carried out in March 2021, in Sasa Village, Ternate City, South Ternate District. North Maluku Province. Data Analysis To be able to answer the purpose of this study, an analysis of the data obtained was carried out and then interpreted the data. Data analysis was carried out in stages starting from the analysis of the fish resource domain, namely the CPUE study, fish size, proportion of scad caught, species composition, "Range Collapse"/(fishing ground) of fish resources and ETP Species (which are protected. Analysis later continued to get the composite value of the fish resource domain, where the results of the scale conversion value are displayed in the form of a flag model. The results of the analysis of the composite value in the fish resource domain obtained a value of 88, so it can be seen that for the fish resource domain the level of management is still in good condition. “Excellent” with phage mode “DARK GREEN.” In the processing of of Mackerel scad in island waters, it is classified as very good.

Abstract

. Seagrass ecosystem is one of the coastal ecosystems that can provide food supply and improve the living standards of coastal residents. The objectives of the study were to determine the composition of the seagrass species on Toduku Island, to determine the composition of the seagrass biota species, to determine the community structure of seagrass species and associated biota including species diversity, species dominance and species density and to determine the interaction pattern of the utilization of seagrass fisheries resources by the community around Toduku Island. . The method used is field observation and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). The composition of seagrass species in Toduku Island are Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Halophila minor, Cymodocea rotundata, Halodule pinifolio, and Syringodium isoetifolium. The composition of the biota that inhabits the seagrass beds of Toduku Island consists of fish, crabs and macrozoobenthos (Holothuroidea, Echinoidea, Asteroidea, gastropods, bivalves). The diversity of seagrass and biota species is moderate, there is no dominant species and the distribution of each species is very even. The pattern of interaction in the use of seagrass resources has been patterned for generations. The forms of utilization activities carried out by the community include taking mollusks (snails, clams), echinodes (sea cucumbers, sea urchins), catching fish and crabs.

Abstract

Male betta fish is known as an ornamental fish that has varied tail colors and shapes, these advantages are what make the price more expensive in the market but to get a population of male betta fish obtained from natural spawning is very low. One of the efforts to increase the number of male betta fish populations is carried out masculinization method through the use of goat testicular flour solution. This study aims to determine the effect of the length of soaking of betta fish larvae in a solution of goat testicular flour on the success of sex changes of male betta fish. The experimental study used a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 5 tests. The treatment in this study was that the larvae of betta fish aged 4 days were soaked in a solution of goat testicular flour at different doses. Control, P1 (24-hour soaking dose 60 ppm), P2 (36-hour soaking dose 70 ppm), and P3 (48-hour soaking dose 80 ppm). An observed variable percentage of male betta fish. Data analysis using ANOVA, if there is a difference, followed by the Tukey Test. Sexes are distinguished by observations morphologically. The results showed that the duration of soaking 24 hours at a dose of 60 ppm resulted in the highest percentage of male betta fish 73.37% with a survival rate of 78%.

Abstract

Moiso village is one of the villages in West Halmahera district, North Maluku which has coconut potential. Diversification of coconut products in this village is limited to processing copra products, so the results obtained are less than optimal. Especially when the price of copra drops. Therefore, an alternative diversification of coconut products is needed that can provide added value for the people in Moiso Village. Among others, processed into coconut jam. To support this, the community needs to be taught about the processing technology in accordance with Good Manufacturing Product (GMP) standards. The purpose of this activity is to transfer technology about coconut jam processing technology in accordance with Good Manufacturing Product Standards to the people of Moiso Village, especially PKK women by providing training. The training was given to 10 women from PKK and KWT in Moiso. The results of the training showed that 90% of PKK mothers did not know how to make it, but after being given training, 100% of them knew how to make coconut jam. This training opened the participants' insight that making coconut jam is easy. This can be seen from the test results given. At first before the training, 80% of the participants thought that making coconut jam was difficult. After the training, only 30% thought that making jam was difficult. In general, 90% of the participants were satisfied with this training.
