Abstract

The seaweed Caulerpa racemosa cultivation unit used in this study was the off-bottom method measuring 5 m x 10 m. This size can contain 5 stretch ropes/risers with a length of 10 m and a distance of 1 m between the stretch ropes/risers. Each stretch / riser line contains about 45 seed clump points with a distance between clumps of 15 cm. The observation procedure for the growth of Caulerpa racemosa seaweed was carried out by weighing the seaweed seeds in each stretch/riser rope. The weight of seed that is weighed is the weight of seeds at the time of planting and the weight of seaweed at harvest. The results showed that the average growth rate of seaweed Caulerpa racemosa was varied for each rope. In ris 1 rope, the average absolute weight growth reached 100.88 grams, ropes 113.33 grams, ris rope 3, 88.00 grams, rope ris 4, 116.00 grams, and rope ris 5, amounting to 113, 33 grams. In general, the highest growth in absolute weight was found in the fourth rope, which was 116.00 grams.

Abstract

Research began from the preparatory stage, the manufacture of fortivation materials, namely tuna bone meal and anchovies, the manufacture of processed products dried tuna wood canned tuna, organoleptic tests and statistical analysis. Fortivation is carried out as many as five treatments, namely without fortivikasi or 0 % (A0), fortivikasi tuna bone meal 3 % (B1), tuna bone meal 6% (B2), anchovies 3% (C1), anchovies flour 6 % (C2). Fortivikasi canned wood dried tuna using bone meal tuna and anchovies with different concentrations, does not have a significant different influence on the quality of appearance, smell, taste and texture on the treatment of B1 and C1 additions of 3% of the total weight of the product with an average value of 8.4 and 8.3 respectively. While in addition to 6% B2 and C2 treatment, it gives a significant influence with an average value of 7.7 and 7.6 treatment, respectively.

Abstract

This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Obervation data collection methods, indepth interviews, FGD and documentation studies. Data were collected from informants, government (Camat, Raja Nusaniwe), people who carry aut activities to maintain and preserve coastal and marine ecosystems that are in critical condition such as coral reefs, seagrass beds, estuaries and mangrove forests. The economic value of fisheries and marine resources can be increased by managing them sustainably. To increase the useful value of these resources, various efforts are made with the right methods, so that the management of fisheries and marine resources can be optimized for the welfare of coastal communities. The result of this study indicate that the result of fisheries and marine resourece management efforts are still felt by people who are far from coastal areas. Meaning that entrepreneurs and middlemen who have tasted the results of fishery and marine resources have been strived for by coastal communities. That efforts to improve the welfare of the peisir people also depend on the management of fisheries and marine resources, which means that if fisheries and marine resources are not conserved, there will be massive exploitation by foreign ships and fish companies that are only looking for profit.

Abstract

Soil fertility in land after nickel mining has a change in soil texture that changes both the profile color and the soil irregularity. Stable soil fertility can support plant growth. Damage to the physical properties of the soil due to the loss of the soil interest (solum) by the ongoing washing of the soil. This results in the loss of some cations in soil colloids, resulting in low acidity (pH) of the soil becoming acidic. Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) as the amount of charge of cations absorbed by soil colloids at a certain pH. Another factor in the decline in CEC is the decreasing number of cation nutrients that can be exchanged. The relationship with reclaimed and revegetated land is influenced by climatic factors with rainfall intensity. Soil fertility on revegetated land with CEC value and C-organic content was very low. Such soil fertility conditions are found in the revegetated zone with large leaf acacia (A. mangium) vegetation; sengon (P. falcataria); ketapang (T. catappa) and waru (H. tiliaceus). Soils that have low soil nutrient content are characterized by low organic matter content, very low available P content, and low cation exchange capacity.

Abstract

The waters of North Halmahera are a fishing area with abundant potential of small pelagic fish. Fishermen in Tobelo use a mini purse seine fishing gear which in local terms is called pajeko. The catch of pajeko fishermen is dominated by Mackarel tuna and Mackerel scad. The aim of this study was to determine the quality of fish caught by fishermen who are sold in one of the markets in Tobelo through organoleptic and pH analysis. Samples were taken randomly and analyzed descriptively so that the data were presented in the form of figures and tables. The results of the average pH analysis ranged from 6.00 - 6.50 and the results of the organoleptic analysis showed that the value was above 7 which indicated that the fish was still fresh.
