Journal of Educational Analytics (JEDA) is a peer review and open-access journal that provides an international platform for disseminating research results and review articles in the field of education. This Journal is published four time per year at February, May, August and November by Formosa Publisher. It is aimed to publish original and contemprorary articles on the latest issues and trends occurring in education curriculum, instruction, learning, policy, and preparation of teachers with the aim to advance our knowledge of education theory and practice. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by a minimum of two reviewers through the blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal.

Abstract

Social media is a medium that facilitates collaboration between users who produce content (user-generated content). Currently, the Tiktok application is widely used by students. This study aims to determine how much influence Tiktok social media has on the learning achievement of fourth-grade students at SDN 101767 Tembung. This research is quantitative. The method used in this study is the ex post facto method. The results showed that t(count)> t(table), namely 14.21978769> 2.002272456. This shows that there is a positive correlation or influence between the Tiktok social media variables and learning achievement. From these results, it is clear that there is a positive correlation or influence from Tiktok social media on learning achievement. So, it is said that social media affects the learning achievement of students in class, even though little or no one uses it in the classroom or school environment.

Abstract

Increasing interest in reading must start with self-motivation in reading so that it can trigger the importance of reading for students and society. This study aims to determine the efforts made by the class teacher to increase the reading interest of class III A students at SD Negeri 105268. This research was conducted using the qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the teacher had made several efforts to increase students' interest in reading, namely by retelling what students read, giving books according to their interests, giving gifts in the form of books, and doing literacy every hour of learning. So, it is necessary to carry out more varied activities to increase students' interest in reading by making in-depth observations about students' habits and something that attracts their attention.

Abstract

Education aims to develop the potential of students to become human beings who believe in and fear God Almighty, have a noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and democratic citizens. This study aims to explore the objectives of Islamic education in the Qur'an and Hadith in forming and developing Muslim personalities. In this study, using the type of literature review research, data sources come from two sources: primary data sources from the verses of the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as primary data sources from books and journals. data analysis using content analysis. The results of the study found that Muslim personalities formed through Islamic education contained in the Qur'an and Hadith consist of several types, namely; obedient, honest, patient, generous, and disciplined.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition where the number of red blood cells or hemoglobin levels in red blood cells are below normal limits. The prevalence of anemia in young women in Indonesia, based on the 2018 Riskesdas data, is 48.9%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing nutrition education using booklets on increasing the knowledge and attitudes of young women about anemia at SMPN 36 Samarinda. This research method is quasi-experimental (quasi-experiment), and the sampling technique is a purposive sampling technique consisting of 36 respondents using a questionnaire. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the knowledge of young women after being given nutrition education between the use of media in the experimental group and the control group with a p-value of 0.008 (p <  0.05), and there was no significant difference in the attitude of young women after being given nutrition education between the use of media in the experimental group and the control group with a p-value of 0.291 (p <0.05). There is an effect of providing nutrition education using booklets and PowerPoint media on increasing knowledge, but it does not affect the attitude of respondents.

Abstract

The curriculum is a benchmark in the management of education because, without it, the learning process will not be implemented. But the Curriculum that exists in Indonesia is often changed according to the rules of the performance of the Minister of Education, so that the polemics are on the ground both in terms of pupils and teachers in the application of learning processes, as well as the latest curricula is independent curriculums, where the concept of the independent currículum is deep concept in strengthening competence, where pupils are required to deepen interests and talents, so in the face of the revolution 4.0 pupils were required to be able to collaborate both in the terms of Information Technology and English Language that will be continuous related to the 4.0 revolution for that purpose the implementation of the free curricular in the learning of English language can integrate in the era in the Age of the 4.0 Revolution. As far as the method used is qualitative, with the presence of this research, we can know that the application of independent curriculum in learning English at the SMAS School of Informatics of the Red Earth has been well implemented.

Abstract

Obesity is a world health case that has been declared a world epidemic case by the World Health Organization (WHO) which requires immediate treatment. Providing nutritional education is one way to overcome this. This research aims to determine the effect of nutrition education using audio-visual on knowledge and attitudes towards obesity prevention in adolescents at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda. This research is a pre-experimental design research with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. The results of this research show that there is an influence of nutrition education using audio-visuals on knowledge and attitudes with a p value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). There is an influence of providing nutrition education using audio-visual media on knowledge and attitudes towards preventing obesity in adolescents at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda.

Abstract

Gastritis is an abnormality in the mucosal nerves resulting in inflammation which is commonly suffered by teenagers. Preliminary study results showed that several teenagers with a history of gastritis had a high frequency of eating irritants and high levels of stress. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of gastritis education using flip sheets on the frequency of eating irritants and stress levels. The research method is, Quasy Experiment Non-Equlvalent Control Group Design approach involving 50 teenagers, divided into 2 groups. The statistical analysis used is the Wilcoxon test and independent t-test. The results showed that 0.000<0.05 meant there was a significant difference in the frequency of irritant eating and stress levels between the experimental and control groups. In conclusion, gastritis education using flip sheets has an effect on eating frequency and stress levels in teenagers suffering from gastritis at SMAN 7 Samarinda.

Abstract

Gastritis is swelling due to inflammation in the mucosal lining of the stomach. Preliminary studies show that some adolescents with a history of gastritis have poor knowledge and attitudes. This study aims to determine the effect of nutritional education using audio-visual media on nutritional knowledge and attitudes and the incidence of juvenile gastritis. The research method is a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design, which was carried out in March 2023. The research subjects were 50 students divided into two groups, namely the audiovisual group and the lecture group. Data analysis used the Paired Sample T-test and Mann-Whitney test. The research results found that audio-visual media had an effect on knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitudes (p = 0.000) compared to the lecture method. In conclusion, gastritis nutrition education using audio-visual media influences the knowledge and attitudes of teenagers at SMA Negeri 7 Samarinda.

Abstract

The present study investigates the English public speaking anxiety of the third-year students from a tertiary education institution in Olongapo City, Philippines. One hundred ninety-seven (197) purposively selected respondents participated in the exploration of the four main components of English Public Speaking Anxiety. The researchers then analyzed the collected data through nonparametric tests. Results yielded no significant difference in the level of public speaking anxiety of the third-year students however when grouped by sex and program, the study found significant findings. With this, researchers proposed a seminar-workshop to help student-respondents increase their self-esteem and confidence in using English as their medium in facilitating their future students.
