Abstract

Tofu Experimental Design Using the TAGUCHI Method Approach at the JB Tofu FactoryAbstractHome industry Tahu JB is a small and medium enterprise (UKM) which operates in the food production sector. An emphasis on quality, efficiency, and technology is critical to maintaining a competitive advantage. The JB Tofu Factory in Jombang is facing production challenges which result in imperfect tofu, which poses a risk to the sustainability of its business. This research aims to optimize the tofu production process in Tahu JB Jombang using the Taguchi approach. The main problem addressed is the occurrence of defective products that threaten business continuity. Taguchi's method, which uses tools such as SNR, Orthogonal Arrays (especially L8( 23 )), ANOVA, and F tests, has proven effective inidentifying key factors such as soybean soaking time, soybean grinding,and starch deposition time. know that it affects product quality. With 3 factors 2 levels, the research results show that soybean milling makes a significant contribution to tofu texture, with a contribution of 37.13% to SNR and 51.61% to average product quality. The results of this research are the soaking time for soybeans level 2 (4 hours), grinding level 1 (1x), sedimentation of tofu essence level 1 (20 minutes) and it is hoped that this can improve the quality of tofu products and operational efficiency at the JB Tofu factory as a whole.

Abstract

Gema Frozen is a company that sells and distributes frozen food products such as sausages, nuggets, corned beef and many other products. Every month, sales of Gema Frozen frozen food products continue to experience a significant increase in the market. This phenomenon causes the company to face demand overload caused by the increase in sales, to anticipate the occurrence of overload, forecasting is needed. By using Lee's fuzzy time series method, the purpose of this study is to analyze product sales forecasting and sales forecasting accuracy. This method is derived from time series analysis that utilizes fuzzy logic and uses fuzzy sets as the basis for its calculations. The results of forecasting analysis using this method resulted in an average difference between sales data and forecasting data of 3.65. This method's forecasting accuracy level is calculated, and the result is an MAE of 55.856. The MSE is 6029.641. -9.97% MPE and 33.78% MAPE values. The Lee approach performs well in predicting, according to the computation of forecasting accuracy.

Abstract

PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia (Jombang Factory) is a company operating in the animal feed industry. Improper production planning causes problems in managing raw materials, and often the stock of raw materials for production is overstocked, resulting in warehouse rental costs. In the period January 2024 to April 2024, 30,545 tons of raw materials were recorded in the rental warehouse, and storage rental costs amounted to 675 million. The purpose of this research is to determine the production volume of XYZ Broiler products based on past sales estimates. And to plan raw material supplies for the production of XYZ Broiler products using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) technique. Based on sales data, the Decomposition method is the best forecasting method because it has the lowest MAPE, MAD and MSD values. Therefore, we can conclude that sales for the last 4 months, namely January to April 2024, were 4,498, 4,303, 5,582 and 3,884 tons. The final process for obtaining data on raw material requirements is creating an MRP report using the EOQ technique. With this MRP method, the company can provide raw materials according to sales demand so that it does not need to rent an external warehouse to store excess raw materials and can save 675 million from the cost of renting an external warehouse for 4 months and Rp. 381,812,500,000 from the cost of purchasing Soya Bean M eal (SBM) materials. overstock.

Abstract

Gema Frozen is a company engaged in the distributor of frozen food products. The problems that occur at Gema Frozen are the ineffective distribution process and the lack of attention to layout in the company, especially in the flow of goods storage. This study aims to create a structured layout that increases the effectiveness of material handling and optimization of material transfer distances based on ALDEP (Automated layout Design Program) in order to create good and comfortable conditions in the company environment. Obtained the value of the results of the calculation of ARC and TCR in the office of 3, loading in by 7, incoming goods by 8, cool storage by 12, Transit Area 11, outcoming goods 7, loading out 6, Terrace 0. The highest value of TCR is in cold storage which reaches 12, this ranking indicates that the high level of need for cool storage. After analyzing the redesign with the ALDEP method, the total distance obtained is 43.1 with several changes in each department, namely loading in and loading out which were originally side by side are now separated to be more efficient, the office is brought closer to between incoming goods, outcoming goods and cool storage Therefore, there is a distance savings in the distribution process flow of 6.68%.

Abstract

PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara Tjoekir is a company engaged in the management of sugar factories. The level of machine performance is a key factor in maintaining the productivity and operationalefficiency of a factory or manufacturing facility. The problem that occurs on the High Grade Fugal machine is the occurrence of downtime due to lack of stability in engine play (hunting) and so on. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of machine performance, determine the factors that cause losses on the high grade fugal machine and provide suggestions for improvements to reduce losses in order to achieve optimal machine performance.After doing calculations from May to September 2023, the high grade fugal machine has an effectiveness level, namely Overall Equipment Effectiveness is 80.99%, still below the Word Class standard of 85%. While the average Availability value on the machine is 99.88%, the average Performance Rate value is 86.01%, and the average Quality Rate is 94.46%. Indicates a decrease in machine speed so that it can hinder the production process and affect the company's productivity level.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) risk analysis is an important step in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for workers. CV Pangan Berkah Sentosa is one of the companies operating in the frozen food industry and can be said to have implemented K3, improvements and evaluation are needed because several cases of work accidents are still found. To prevent work accidents and work-related diseases, this can be done by conducting a risk analysis. One method that can be used is HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control). This method consists of 3 (three) stages, namely hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control. Based on the research results, there are 30 potential hazards, of which 43.4% are hazards in the low risk category, 50% are hazards in the medium risk category, and 6.6% are hazards in the high risk category. Activities that have a high level of risk are the meat grinding process, the packaging process using automatic packaging equipment. Controls that can be carried out to reduce risks are by using personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers in accordance with the risk of danger faced by workers, providing work aids to minimize direct contact of workers' body organs with machine parts that have a high potential for danger.

Abstract

A company's continuous production process is influenced by factors such as technology, capital, inventory of goods, raw material inventory, and labor. Inventory factors have an important role in a production process, where the company's inventory of raw materials aims to ensure the continuity of the company's production process. One of them is factory X's bread production sector because the factory owner has not used any inventory control system in his factory. This is shown by the high inventory costs using the MRP method and resulting savings compared to the company's manual method. Optimizing raw material supplies for bread factories can also be done using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. This is proven by the results of Lot Sizing calculations with raw material inventory costs of IDR 20,266,298, while costs for ordering goods are IDR 19,776,000 and for storing goods IDR 11,761,500 per year.

Abstract

Textile construction methods such as reinforcing floors using fiber reinforced concrete (pillow filling materials), crack panels (cotton blankets), high density covers (mortality materials) and geotextiles have been developed. e PT Hilon Sumatra has not met the safety standards. in the workplace and may be subordinate to them. The purpose of this study is to analyze the risks and causes of occupational accidents. The method used in the study is the HIRA (risk and action) method. The HIRA method is used to identify possible risks and provides an assessment of risks based on the level of risk and severity of the problem. Based on the results of the study it was concluded: The results of the study show that in the final stage there is a very high risk in the tube part of the color up to 14 strengths, at the levels risk in the middle risk (M) of 12% . Risk (H) 44% and high risk (E) 44%. Hazard information includes safety information, K3 promotion, K3 training, emergency models, posters, banners, safety letters and safety signs. Currently, the risk management methods that have been introduced include control, the use of ADP and the use of ergonomic work equipment.

Abstract

Indonesia has various types of plants that can be cultivated throughout the year, such as rice, corn, soybeans, palm oil, coffee, tea, and cocoa. Rice is the most widely planted agricultural commodity and is a staple food for most Indonesians. Indonesian people still have extensive rice fields planted with rice. However, many young people now refuse to become farmers because they are considered unpromising to meet their needs. Therefore, it is necessary to research the design of rice planting machines. The purpose of this study is to design a rice planting machine according to the needs of farmers. The results of this study indicate that there are complaints from farmers during rice planting. Complaints are pain in body parts such as the neck, shoulders, waist, back, wrists, fingers, thighs, legs, and ankles. Therefore, it is necessary to design a rice planting machine to avoid complaints from farmers when planting rice.
