Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the values of religious character breeding in novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi. Novel Rantau 1 Muara is a novel that clearly tells of a value of struggle, persistence, obedience to God and a view of life that intends to achieve success with an incantation man saara ala darbi washala, who walks on His way will reach the goal. The method that is used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. The data resource in this study is novelRantau 1 Muaraby Ahmad Fuadi in 2013 with a total of 395 pages. The data in this research has the story units in dialogs, paragraphs, and tables that show the value of religious character breeding. The data collection techniques are done by using note taking techniques, and literature study. The steps are taken in analyzing the novel are by interpreting based on existing theories, then described according to the research objectives. The results of data analysis, there are 17 frequencies which are divided in, they are the religious existence of human relations to God such as worshiping, greeting, praying, giving thanks and asking forgiveness. The religious existences among human and human are asking for protection, worshiping parents, intimacy, and praying for others. Furthermore, the religious existence of human with nature is praising the beauty of nature.Whereas the value of the character education of the homeland is 3 frequencies, including the manifestation of the value of patriotism in relation to one's self, namely a sense of nationalism and a sense of tolerance between religious communities.

Abstract

Abstract Conflict becomes part of contemporary phenomena that embraces all dimensions of human life, starting from the level of individuals, society, to relations between countries. Conflict in all of its variety, both economic, political conflicts, even conflicts between civilizations, cannot be separated from the "on-name" religion. Islam which teaches love and peace is distorted into Islam that teaches conflict. Islamic education in a broad context is responsible for the formation of logical thinking of humans who like to spread terror and conflict. This paper examines how the Sufism approach in Islamic education plays its part as the Islamic tradition that teaches Islam in the form of love and spreads Peaceful Islam and has A peace of mind with research Library research that uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques with the results of research that is mystical approach in Islamic education fundamental alternatives in order to reduce conflict and bring peace. Abstrak Konfik menjadi bagian dari fenomena kontemporer yang melanda seluruh dimensi kehidupan manusia, mulai dari tingkat individu, masyarakat, sampai hubungan antar negara. Konflik dalam ragam rupanya, baik konflik ekonomi, politik, bahkan konflik antar peradaban, tidak bisa dilepaskan dari “atas-nama” agama. Islam yang mengajarkan cinta kasih dan perdamaian didistorsi menjadi Islam yang mengajarkan konflik. Pendidikan Islam dalam konteks yang luas bertanggungjawab atas terbentuknya nalar berpikir manusia yang suka menebar teror dan konflik. Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana pendekatan sufisme dalam pendidikan islam menjadi bagian dari tradisi Islam yang mengajarkan Islam dalam rupa cinta kasih dan menebarkan Islam Damai dan berwawasan perdamaian dengan jenis penelitian Library research yang menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan hasil penelitian yaitu pendekatan sufistik dalam pendidikan Islam adalah alternatif fundamental dalam rangka mengurangi konflik dan mewujudkan perdamaian bangsa. Salah satu teladan prakteknya dapat dilihat dari ulama-ulama Nusantara. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Islam, Perdamaian, and Sufisme.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the development of quality management-based teaching staff at SDIT Muhammadiyah Gunung Terang and SDIT Permata Bunda III Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. The focus of the problem in this study was on the management aspects of teacher quality coaching. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data is collected through: 1. Interviews with Principals, Foundation Managers and Teachers. 2. Data is also collected by examining and collecting relevant documents. 3. Make direct observations in both schools. To test the validity of the data used credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmation. The collected data were analyzed by data analysis techniques including: data reduction (data reduction), presentation of data (display), verification / conclusion (conclusionsdrowing / verifiying). The results of the study showed that the two schools had implemented a modern teacher development pattern through the implementation of three-step management, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The orientation of teacher development is directed at two main things, namely the achievement of high academic competencies (pedagogic, social, personal and professional), spiritual competencies that are "uswatun hasanah" and istiqomah based on Islamic teachings: Al-Qur'an and Al-Hadist and students' character become the successor of the nation's Pancasilais. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembinaan mutu tenaga pendidik berbasis manajemen di SDIT Muhammadiyah Gunung Terang dan SDIT Permata Bunda III Sukabumi Bandar Lampung. Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah pada aspek manajemen pembinaan mutu guru.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui : 1. Wawancara dengan Kepala Sekolah, Pengurus Yayasan dan Guru. 2. Data juga dikumpulkan dengan memeriksa dan mengumpulkan dokumen yang relevan. 3. Melakukan observasi langsung di kedua sekolah. Untuk menguji keabsahan data digunakanujicredibility, transferability, dependability, danconfirmability. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data meliputi : reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (display), verifikasidata atau penarikan kesimpulan (conclusionsdrowing atau verifiying). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kedua sekolah sama-sama telah menerapkan pola pembinaan guru yang moderen melalui implementasi tiga langkah manajemen yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Orientasi pembinaan guru diarahkan pada dua hal utama yaitu pencapaian kompetensi akademik yang tinggi (paedagogik, sosial, kepribadian dan profesional), kompetensi spiritual yang “uswatun hasanah” dan istiqamah berlandaskan ajaran Islam: Al-Qur’an dan Al-Hadist dan karakter anak didik menjadi penerus bangsa yang pancasilais. Kata Kunci: Manajemen, Sekolah Islam Terpadu, dan Pancasilais.

Abstract

Abstract Developing the character of students will love the homeland, uphold peace, and be able to work productively, respect differences (pluralism), maintain unity and unity as a very important basic framework which is the role of Islamic education, so that it must always be nurtured and sown on each individual learner through education and teaching with nationalism insight. In accordance with its basic role which is always oriented to the future and the benefit of the people, the writer seeks to discuss the development of a national-minded Islamic education curriculum which is currently very much needed in the framework of giving birth to the next generation with a better quality of understanding, service and nationalism than current generation.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with the type of research that is library research. The results of data analysis that the development of nationally-minded Islamic education has quantitative meanings and qualitative meanings. Quantitatively the development of Islamic-minded Islamic education can be done by increasing the reading references, expanding socialization, making forums, and developing a culture that accommodates national values in Islamic education, quantitatively developing components that need to be developed is strengthening the theoretical foundation and the translation, developing the curriculum, improving the quality of teaching staff, and education, financing and reviving local traditions / culture that do not conflict with the spirit and values of existing Islam. Abstrak Menumbuh kembangkan karakter peserta didik akan cinta tanah air, menjunjung perdamaian, dan dapat bekerja sama secara produktif, menghargai perbedaan (pluralisme), menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan sebagai kerangka dasar yang sangat penting yang merupakan peran dari pendidikan Islam, sehingga harus selalu dipupuk dan disemai pada setiap pribadi peserta didik melalui pendidikan dan pengajaran yang berwawasan kebangsaan. Sesuai dengan peran dasarnya yang selalu berorentasi ke masa depan dan kemaslahatan umat, maka penulis berupaya membahas tentang pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam berwawasan kebangsaan yang saat ini sangat diperlukan dalam kerangka untuk melahirkan generasi penerus bangsa dengan kualitas pemahaman, jasa dan semangat kebangsaan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan generasi sekarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Adapun Hasil analisis data bahwa Pengembangan pendidikan Islam berwawasan kebangsaan memiliki makna kuantitatif dan makna kualitatif. Secara kuantitafif pengembangan pendidikan Islam berwawasan kebangasaan dapat dilakukan dengan memperbanyak referensi bacaan, memperluas sosialisasi, membuat forum-forum, serta membangan kultur yang mengakomodasi nilai-nilai kebangsaan dalam pendidikan Islam, pengembangan secara kuantitatif yaitu komponen-komponen yang perlu dikembangknan adalah penguatan landasan teori dan penjabarannya, mengembangkan kurikulum, meningkatkan kualitas SDMtenaga pendidik, dan kependidikan, pembiayaan serta menghidupkan tradisi/budaya lokal yang tidak bertentangan spirit dan nilai-nilai islam yang ada. Kata Kunci: Urgensi, Kurikulum Pendidikan Islam, dan Wawasan Kebangsaan.

Abstract

Abstrak Kajian ini merupakan kajian akadmik program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh Pusat Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, (PPM) Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Metro. Program ini berupa peberdayaan ekonomi melalui komunitas. Lokasi Program pemberdayaan ini difokuskan di Kecamatan Metro Utara.Program pemberdayaan dilaksanakan melalui pengembangbiakkan kambing di keluarahan karangrejo Metro Utara Kota Metro. Subyek pemberdayaan ini adalah jamaah yasinan dan pengajian di Bedeng 23 A, Karangrejo. Tujuan pemberdayaan adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, taraf hidup subyek dampingan, jamaah yasinan dan pengajian. Lebih dari itu, pemberdayaan ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan komunitas masyarakat yang hidup mandiri. Masyarakat yang mampu mengendalikan kehidupan mereka.Berdasarkan evaluasi dan pengamatanlapangan, kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan program pemberdayaan melalui pengembangbiakkan kambing tidak hanya ditentukan jumlah modal yang diberikan, akan tetapi oleh spirit dan komitmen subyek pemberdayaan. Selain itu, faktor lain yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan pemberdayaan ini adalah manajemen pengelolaan modal dan aset pemberdayaan. Subyek dampingan yang dipercaya untuk mengembangbiakkan kambing dengan sistem bergulir dan tidak menjadi hak milik, semangat dan komitmen mereka untuk memelihara hewan tersebut lebih tinggi, sehingga pemberdayaan berjalan efektif. Sementara model pemberdayaan yang modalnya berasal dari dana zakat profesi berupa kambing yang diserahkan kepada mustahiq untuk menjadi hak milik dan tidak bergulir, umumnya komitmen dan kesriusan penerima kurang maksimal. Akibatnya, tujuan pemberdayaan tidak tercapai secara maksimal. Kata kunci: Pemberdayaan ekonomi, subyek pemberdayaan, zakat profesi, pengembangbiakkan kambing.

Abstract

Islamic contents and English were taught at Islamic Boarding School (IBS) Haramain Nahdlatul Wathan (NW) Narmada. English is taught as a general subject and compulsory subject as well. An English community (Language Asrama) is established by Kiai. It is aimed at practicing speaking English and exercising public speaking skills. IBS Haramain NW Narmada includes one of the IBSs in Indonesia in which it reflected Islamic values, cultures, and indoctrination in its teaching and learning. The pieces of evidence showed that this institution taught English for students (Santri) as a tool to gain global information around the world. Dealing with the ELT classrooms, IBS Haramian NW Narmada employed some learning strategies reflecting Islamic cultures and values such as syawir, Lalar, Hafal (memorizing), and Setoran (deposit). The strong emphasis on Arabic and English in daily communication addresses the immersion language program. It is a method applied to teach foreign languages. Based on the application, the IBS Haramain NW Narmada applied a total immersion program, in which Arabic and English are the target languages.

Abstract

This research analyses the concept of leadership within transnational Islam tradition in Indonesia and their response towards democracy, particularly within three largest transnational organizations of Jama’ah Tabligh, Jama’ah Tarbiyah, and Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). Based on an extensive literature study and in depth interviews, this research found that: first, leadership concept in the tradition of (1) Jamaah Tabligh is called “Amir” which is appointed through a dialogue (musyawarah). The Amir is responsible to preach ‘the da’wah ‘ala> Minhaj an-Nubuwwah (proselytizing Islam using Prophetic methods) through ‘khuru>j fi> sabi>lilla>h; (2) Jama’ah Tarbiyah is called “Majlis Syuro” as the highest body of the Islamic party which functions as “ahlul halli wal ‘aqdi” (the consultative assembly) in its political movement represented by Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (Prosperous Justice Party/ PKS); and (3) HTI is called “Khalifah” that calls for the system of ‘Khila>fah ‘ala> Minha>ji an-Nubuwwah’. Second, those three organizations have divergent responses regarding the practice of democracy in Indonesia. The responses are (1) Jamaah Tabligh chooses to be apolitical and let its followers whether to participate in the democracy or not; (2) Jamaah Tarbiyah supports the democracy system by establishing Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and (3) HTI opposes democracy because the concept is born from the capitalist ideology, a kufr system as it created by human and is not taken from Shari’ah concept.

Abstract

Abstract This article focuses discuss questions about how the role and contribution of ulema in the social life of religion in Indonesia. Also, how is the typology and characteristic of ulema in contemporary Indonesia. Sociologically, ulema is part of the most important topics in the study of religious institutions in the Islamic world, including when speaking about Islam in Indonesia. Ulema is also juxtaposed with umara. In this case, the position and role of the ulema are like an "informal" leader in a nation for Muslim Societies. In Indonesia, ulema has a central role in religious and state life to shape the imagined Islamic societies, such as Nusantara Islam and others. From time to time, ulema has made major contributions from before until after independence to the present. This is evident from the historical track record of ulema institutions in Indonesia. From Sabang to Merauke island, the term of ulema has an interesting nickname. For example, there are many other names of ulama like Kiai (Java), Tengku (Aceh), Ajengan (Sundanese), Buya (Minangkabau), Sheikh (North Sumatra), Tuan Guru (Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara and Kalimantan). Abstract

This paper shows another dimension of the phenomenon of Islamism Indonesia. By doing the interpretation of a number of circumstantial historical Islam literacy with traces of the historical aspect as the research methodology, the authors found one important factor that gave birth to Islamism Indonesia is literacy not just ideology as believed by many scholars. The resulting literacy evolved in various forms of media, and thus generated by the Indonesia who settled in the Middle East, Islamic Indonesia elite, and ustad virtual at the estuary of the society in the war on Islam. This paper contributes to the efforts of Islamic Studies scholars from Indonesia to include literacy in Islamic Indonesia as part of the phenomenon of global Islamism manifestation in the development of the study of contemporary Islamist movements. Abstract

The knowledge of Indonesian Islamic education is still strongly influenced by Middle Eastern Islamic education, which is currently experiencing political turmoil and bloodshed due to the transnationalism and global Salafism movement. If this condition continues, Indonesian Islamic education will suffer the same fate. In such a situation, Islamic education with progress and Islam Nusantara education must appear prominent, becoming the mainstream (mainstreaming) as a stronghold of the NKRI. Although some studies deliberately make the difference between them, they have the potential for conflict, but the principle of caring for diversity must be put forward. Library research with this qualitative approach formulates the scientific mainstreaming of Islamic education with progress and Islam Nusantara education amidst the flow of transnational Islamic education. The findings of this study indicate that the scientific advancement of Islamic education with progress is Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) while that of Islam Nusantara education is Aswaja. AIK develops knowledge that supports the local wisdom and diversity, while Aswaja maintains local wisdom and national character through science. Both represent the science of moderate Islamic education that is more enlightening than Middle Eastern Islam; thereby, it has the potential to promote Indonesia as a barometer of Islamic world education.
