Abstract

Concrete is a very important construction material in construction so that the use of concrete is widely used. In the use of conventional concrete, there are many problems that arise, such as the use of so much cement that can affect the environment. In this study, the use of eggshell powder will be used to reduce the amount of cement in the proportion of the concrete constituent mixture as well as in the use of powder and can reduce the cost of using cement which is relatively expensive. In addition, chicken egg shell waste contains calcium carbonate where it is known that one of the constituent ingredients of Portland Cement (SP) is calcium carbonate. This study uses SNI 03-2834-2000, to calculate the proportion of the concrete mixture. Testing the compressive strength of this concrete using cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 150 mm (0.15 m) and a height of 300 mm (0.30 m) as many as 15 samples with the amount of chicken egg shell powder used at 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 4%. From the results of testing the average compressive strength at the age of 7 days and then converted to the age of 28 days, the average compressive strength at 0% eggshell percentage is 25.76 MPa, 1% is 22.80 MPa, 2% is 20.43 MPA, 3% is 20.13 MPa, 4% is 19.98 MPa. The greater the percentage of chicken egg shell powder, the compressive strength of the concrete decreases. For the cost of 0% concrete mix is Rp. 11,414.5, 1% is Rp.  11,342.5, 2% is Rp. 11,270.5 3% is, Rp. 11,198.5, 4% is Rp. 11,150.5 the cost of concrete using egg shell powder relatively cheaper.

Abstract

Leaf blight is one of the main diseases in oil palm nurseries, as a result of the attack of the pathogen Colletotrichum sp. The initial symptoms are found on the edges of the leaves. Colletotrichum sp. is a pathogenic fungus that causes blight in oil palm, so it needs to be controlled. One of the alternative controls is by using rambutan wood liquid smoke. This study aims to obtain an effective concentration of rambutan wood liquid smoke that can inhibit the growth of Colletotrichum sp. in vitro. This research was carried out from November 2023 to January 2024 at the Laboratory of Pathology, Entomology, Microbiology and Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University, Riau. This study used an experimental method with a complete randomized design (RAL) with 6 treatments (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%) with each treatment repeated 4 times, so that there were 24 experimental units. Observation parameters include total phenol analysis and PH test of liquid smoke, macroscopic, growth rate (cm/day) and inhibition (%) Colletotrichum sp. The results showed a total phenol content of 3.47% and a PH test. Rambutan wood liquid smoke with a concentration of 4% is very effective in inhibiting Colletotrichum sp. 100% inhibition and growth rate of 0 cm/day.

Abstract

Futsal is a sport with fast and dynamic intensity that requires teamwork. Therefore, it requires direct and fast communication to understand movement through patterns and interpersonal communication that is useful for minimizing errors. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach using data analysis in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The purpose is to discuss the importance of interpersonal communication patterns between coaches and captains of the Harapan FC futsal team. When the interaction takes place, it produces responses and feedback, which is included in the communication pattern to achieve the goal of effective interperonal communication in the Harapan FC futsal team. In the communication pattern, there are various networks that are formed as a flow of communication between individuals, in addition to the effectiveness of interpersonal communication, there are Respect, Empathy, Audible, Clarity and Humble. The result of the research is that there is a concept of communication patterns and interpersonal communication in the training sessions. When the coach gives a message about the technique, the player follows the technique in the form of a wheel communication pattern, a Y communication pattern and a star communication pattern. The communication pattern is also to find out the attitude of Respect, directing the captain to help the player in improving Empathy. Then there is an evaluation session after the match, on this occasion Audible and Clarity can be found in the use of techniques that are carried out and then explained in the evaluation. So that the captain and players are able to know the meaning of techniques in training, if they are able to master the technique, the captain must remain humble and be able to introspect himself or other players to be able to improve the quality and skills of the players.
