Abstract

Stress and a decrease in student learning achievement can be triggered by the mal-adaptive coping experienced, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which requires students to adjust physically and psychologically in the learning process on campus which is now done online and is more independent in learning. So, psychological support for students, especially UAD doctoral students, needs to be done, one of which is mental health screening. The purpose of this study was to determine the mental health condition and social support of students. In the end, this will be the basis for providing psychological support and improving educational and learning activities for UAD Doctoral program students. The research method used was the adjustment and validation of the Self-Report Questionnaire (SRQ) 29, covering aspects of mental health, namely anxiety, depression, stress, use of psychostimulants/substances, symptoms of psychosis (reality rating disorder) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); Customize and validate social support questionnaires; Submission of ethical review; and Conducting an online survey of mental health, anxiety, depression and social support for Doctoral students. The results obtained from SRQ29 showed that as many as 30% of students experienced PTSD and 10% experienced depression. However, the results of the high religiosity test and quality of life were not compromised. The conclusion of this study is that the existence of religiosity and spirituality can provide positive coping to reduce mental disorders and improve the quality of life for students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the four priority non-communicable diseases that are WHO targets to follow up with a rising prevalence every year. Changes in unhealthy living behaviour from a young age are an important cause of DM. Medical students as the younger generation have some functions as agents of change, agents of health, and social control regarding health, including DM. Therefore it is necessary to identify the students’ knowledge level related to DM to reduce its incidence by way of healthy living behaviour. This research aims to determine the relationship between students' knowledge level and their healthy living behaviour. This research is an analytic quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population of this study was all students of the UAD Faculty of Medicine. The research sample was 96 students of the UAD Faculty of Medicine in the 3rd, 5th, and 7th semesters with a simple random sampling technique. The research data was taken using questionnaires and processed using the Spearman Rank statistical test. The results showed that the majority of respondents (55.2%) had a sufficient knowledge level about DM and the majority of students' healthy life behaviours were in a good category (47.9%). From bivariate analysis, it was obtained that p value = 0.04 (p < 0.05) which indicates a significant relationship between students' knowledge level and their healthy living behaviour. There is a relationship between the students' knowledge level and their healthy living behaviour Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan satu dari empat penyakit tidak menular (PTM) yang menjadi prioritas target tindak lanjut WHO dengan prevalensi yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya.

Abstract

Abstract

Diaper dermatitis is an inflammation of the skin in the diaper area caused by contact with urine and feces and the friction of the diaper against the skin. The incidence of diaper dermatitis in Indonesia is 7-35% in male and female infants with the highest number at the age of 6-12 months. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with diaper dermatitis in children aged 0-36 months at the Tembalang District Puskesmas, such as age, gender, mother's education level, mother's occupation, economic status, frequency of diaper changes, and personal hygiene. This study used an observational analytic method of Case-Control approach with a sample of 30 people, 15 case groups and 15 control groups with purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained through a questionnaire instrument which was then tested with the Chi-Square test with the help of software. Statistical test results showed no significant relationship between age, gender, mother's education level, mother's occupation, and economic status with the occurrence of diaper dermatitis and there was a significant relationship between the frequency of diaper changes 0.013 (p < 0.05) and personal hygiene 0.008 (p < 0.05). There is a significant relationship between the frequency of diaper changes and personal hygiene with the occurrence of diaper dermatitis, and there is no significant relationship with other risk factors.

Abstract

Superficial dermatomycosis is the most common type of infection, which affects 20-25% of the world's population. Tinea pedis can cause onychomycosis and has been associated with onychomycosis in 30 to 50% of cases. The study aimed to determine the relationship between Tinea pedis and the occurrence of onychomycosis in scavengers. The research design used in this study is cross-sectional. The sample used was scavengers at the Sukawinatan landfill in Palembang. The sampling method used a consecutive sampling technique for as many as 70 respondents. This study used data obtained from interviews and examination of skin scrapings under a microscope and fungal culture. The results obtained were 31 respondents (44.3%) with tinea pedis and 39 respondents (55.7%) who did not have tinea pedis. Fifty-five respondents (78.5%) had onychomycosis, while 15 (21%) did not. Tinea pedis and onychomycosis are strongly related. The Odds Ratio (95%=CI) of the Chi-Square test was 0.309. Tinea pedis is 0.309 times more likely to have onychomycosis. In conclusion, there was a significant relationship between tinea pedis and the occurrence of onychomycosis in the disposal officer. The emergence of tinea pedis is due to the daily life of scavengers who live side by side with garbage and the lack of concern for personal hygiene which is not optimal, can be prevented and treated.

Abstract

Gaucher disease is a rare genetic disorder in which a person lacks an enzyme called glucocerebrosidase (GBA). Gaucher disease is an autosomal recessive inherited disorder of metabolism where a type of fat (lipid) called glucocerebroside cannot be adequately degraded. The lack of the GBA causes harmful substances to build up in the lung, liver, spleen, bones, and bone marrow, brain and eyes. These substances prevent cells and organs from working properly. There are three recognized Types of Gaucher disease and each has a wide range of symptoms. Type 1 is the most common, does not affect the nervous system and may appear early in life or adulthood. Many people with Type 1 Gaucher disease have findings that are so mild that they never have any problems from the disorder. Type 2 and 3 do affect the nervous system. A man, 27th, goes to the hospital with pain at upper of left knee, swollen since 3 week ago, hypertension(-), DM (-), history of left knee operation. Traumatic history (-). HB: 14,9mmgr/dl, AL 7,6. AT 186, HMT 43,8%, GDS 95 mg/dl, APTT 34,4. PPT: 11,6, diff eosinophil: 3,2. From the symptoms dan clinical finding from this patient we can make conclusion, the case is typical Gaucher disease type 1.
