Abstract

This training aims to increase the economic independence of housewives in RT 030 RW 007,Kalidoni Village, Palembang. The implementation of this activity is packaged interactively bypresenting lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, University of MuhammadiyahPalembang. The form of service activities is in the form of decoupage technique training, thistechnique is a technique of beautifying ordinary items into good products, artistic value andhigher selling value. The material used is plain woven bag material which is then decoupagetechnique (from French which means cutting, decorating), affixed with motif tissue paper(napkin) followed by varnishing, will produce a beautiful woven bag. This skill is quite easy butrequires precision and gentleness because the tissue paper used is very smooth and easily torn ifyou are not careful in cutting, pasting and varnishing. Not only training, but in this activity,online business counseling is also held through the marketplace and social media. An effectivesolution for mothers of productive age but do not work outside the home. Overall, theimplementation of activities can provide new business opportunities for housewives.

Abstract

Competition nowadays requires companies to continuously anticipate by adapting with changes in the business environment. When a company unable to adjust, there is a possibility that the company will be less competitive than other companies. Changes in political, economic, social, cultural, and technological conditions are crucial for constant attention. Companies are expected to always respond to changes that occur, including UMKM (MSME). MSMEs in Bandung Regency have an Organization, called “Paguyuban Pengusaha Kecil Menengah (PPKM) Kabupaten Bandung”, West Java, which has members with various types of businesses. Based on the results of interviews with the staff of the Cooperatives and SMEs Service and the Chairman of the UMKM Association of Bandung Regency, the problems that often occur in the UMKM environment there are quite diverse, such as problems in the production process, quality of goods, marketing, financial records, which lead to low competitiveness. Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) program from the International Labour Organization (ILO) is a program that aims to increase productivity, cooperation, and workers' commitment to the company. This program will increase competitiveness, starting with improvements in the internal company. The UNPAR SCORE program which was held in 2020 is the 4th batch and in its implementation experienced the COVID19 Pandemic, so it was forced to undergo various adjustments. There were several conditions that caused some participants not to survive, but out of 33 participants, 20 MSMEs completed the SCORE UNPAR Batch 4 program until the final presentation. Abstract

Lack of public knowledge about diabetes mellitus and how to control diabetes mellitus will lead to potential pathological risks including infection, ulceration and amputation. In addition, during the Covid-19 pandemic, diabetes mellitus is one of the comorbid factors for Covid-19 that can lead to death in diabetes mellitus patients. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase public knowledge about complications of diabetes mellitus. and improve the patient's ability to prevent complications of diabetes mellitus by doing diabetic foot exercises. The method of implementing this service is by providing online health education to Diabetes mellitus patients. This health education is carried out online using the Google Meet media. This activity was attended by 60 participants. Based on the results of the activity, it was found that knowledge before being given education was 45 people (75%) of diabetes mellitus patients had poor knowledge about diabetes mellitus education and diabetic foot exercises. After being given education, there was an increase in knowledge as many as 50 people (83%) of community service participants had good knowledge about diabetes mellitus education and diabetic foot exercises.

Abstract

This community activity takes the object of the Sumber Agung home industry in Petoran, Jebres, Surakarta. The purpose of the activity is to provide training and counseling to Sumber Agung home industry managers in order to be able to adapt to changes in information technology, in an effort to manage and develop their business, and to help provide solutions to overcome problems faced, especially in the aspect of product marketing, among others: 1) during the covid 19 pandemic the sales of tempe chips experienced a very significant decline, around 50%, 2) the tempe slicing process is only done manually, even though under normal conditions it can consume 70 kg of soybean raw material/day, as a result it is inefficient in production, 3) the owner does not understand the importance of branding and packing. The method of implementing this activity is by providing assistance in the form of training and counseling at the Sumber Agung home industry. Technically, by holding training on the use of social media (whatsapp, facebook and instagram) and counseling on the importance of understanding branding and packing. The results of this mentoring activity were Facebook which was used by "Kripik Sumber Agung" and Instagram which was used by "Sumberagungsolo". The output of this activity, the articles published in the National Accredited Journal.

Abstract

The use of technology has been carried out in many areas of life as has been the number of applications based on both websites or android that are friends to all society. Most of the people can only use this technology and a small part of others not only can use but also can make this technology with the help of a programming tool. Self-programming can made with a native concept or the concept of OOP (Object Oriented Programming). Lots of programmers can program with native concepts but not many programmerswho can create programs with the OOP concept. Apart from programmers, there are many students who do not understand the concept of OOP let alone to make it in form a website. Like it or not, these students have to take part in the workshop training on OOP so that knowledge in the IT field can improve. Based on the problem That is, the lecturer service team held a service on Object Training Oriented Programming in Today's Website Development. OOP is a Object-based programming that implements class and object methods as supporters. The dedication carried out is not only a theoretical explanation but also practically so that students can immediately practice what they have explained by the tutor. The result of this activity is that students can make a websites created using OOP and their knowledge and insights about programming can increase.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to help the financial service process at PKBM by using a well-designed and accurate design of an accounting of  receipt and disbursement.  The method used by author are begins with a process of interview, observation, and observation of cash receipt and disbursement and then collect the results that activities, and the last is introduce the result of the design to partners. Introducing result of design with giving the presentation to partners and direction so that the partners know about the flow. The analysis method use a descriptive analysis. This activity held at PKBM Patrakomala Bandung. The participants are employes, staff, and teachers. The product will be proceduced is system of cash receipt and disbursement that design attractive and well-structured. It’s expected that system can be used properly and developed further.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide knowledge about the recognition, measurement, and recording of assets. This activity was addressed to community of songket business in Muara Penimbung Ilir, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. Lecture and discussion as well as simulation and mentoring were used as the methods. This activity had been conducted for three months, started on August until October 2021, while the visits for training were given three times. The main problem faced by songket business is capital constraint since they have poor knowledge about managing internal resources, namely assets. The results of this community service indicate that after the training had been given, the songket businessman is equipped with knowledge of asset recognition, measurement and recording.

Abstract

In the New Normal Era, the use of social media digital platforms such as Instagram and Facebook is the right choice for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to promotes their products. In order for MSMEs to be successful in promoting their products online, MSME need to design digital-based marketing strategies (Digital Marketing), including by creating digital promotional content. The problem that occurs today is the low ability of MSME in marketing their products on digital platforms. The lack of knowledge of MSME in creating digital promotional content is the cause of the low competitiveness of MSMEs in the context of digital marketing. This condition also occurs in MSMEs in Palembang City, where there are still many MSMEs in Palembang City who have not used digital platforms as online promotion media because of their limited knowledge and abilities. Referring to these conditions, this community service activity is carried out to provide education in the form of training to MSME on how to design strategies for creating digital promotional content. So it is hoped that through this training it can improve the ability of MSMEs in designing strategies for creating digital promotional content to attract consumer purchases and increase the volume of sales that have decreased due to the impact of the pandemic, as well as increase their competitiveness in maintaining business in the New Normal Era.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) concept has been rolled out by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020. This program adopts a structured and programmed independent learning pattern outside the classroom. In science and technology-based higher education institutions, the MBKM concept is in line with the teaching industry concept where in this concept the learning process is carried out by utilizing the activities of a particular industry as a learning base. In this paper, a feasibility study of BUMDes Ngingas Makmur Abadi will be discussed to become a teaching industry from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) – Surabaya to support the concept of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Through qualitative analysis of interview data with the director of BUMDes Ngingas Makmur Abadi and through a survey of business activities, it was stated that BUMDes Ngingas Makmur Abadi deserves to be one of the cluster teaching industries of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) – Surabaya with a manufacturing sector. Through this teaching industry, each party (BUMDes Ngingas Makmur Abadi and ITS) will get benefits that can be used to improve their respective competencies.

Abstract

The failure of a business carried out by novice entrepreneurs occurs because they set up a business without thinking. This happens because the preparation is not yet mature, so that it develops its business on the fly and many adjustments must be made during the course of the business because from the start the business model is not right. This happened to MSME players and cooperatives under the guidance of the Department of Cooperatives and UMKM in Demak Regency. The canvas business model is an alternative design using a business model, it will be easier to get business certainty, it is easy to see the current state of the business and how to advance it. This business model can also be used as a basis for creating a business plan. Guidance is carried out as a form of understanding the introduction of a strategy to read business conditions and potential, governance and growth up zone of internal and external potential for good and structured management of MSMEs and cooperatives for business actors. The result of this training activity is that cooperative managers and SME entrepreneurs have the knowledge, insight and are able to make a business model that fits the business plan.
