Abstract

This study explores the relationship between digital financial literacy and financial attitude to financial planning, with the target population being the youths residing in Malaysia. Questionnaires adopted from past literature were distributed to gather relevant data from the target population, and 300 respondents participated in this study. The results show that digital financial literacy and attitude positively relate to financial planning. Meanwhile, digital financial literacy did not moderate the relationship between financial attitude and financial planning. This study's limitations include omitting other variables, such as behavioural and socio-demographic factors, that may affect financial planning and need to be considered to present a more comprehensive research framework and provide more accurate findings. Lastly, this research guides the relevant authorities in reviewing the country's sufficiency and effectiveness of financial education.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to identify the factors shaping consumers' financial risk perceptions regarding the use of digital payment platforms and to analyze the relationship between financial risk perceptions and consumers' intentions to use digital payment platforms in Merauke Regency. This study employs a qualitative approach. The subjects consist of consumers who currently use or are potential users of digital payment platforms, local business actors offering digital payment options to consumers, and local economic observers or experts familiar with the economic and cultural contexts of Merauke Regency. Thematic analysis is used to identify the main themes from data collected through interviews and observations, supplemented by narrative analysis to construct the stories and experiences of the research subjects. The findings indicate that financial risk perceptions, particularly concerns about financial loss and fraud, remain significant barriers to the widespread adoption of digital payment platforms in Merauke Regency. The study also highlights that consumers’ intentions to use digital payment platforms are influenced by their financial risk perceptions and awareness of practical benefits, which can be strengthened through educational efforts and increased financial literacy.

Abstract

As travel opportunities have increased, the air transport sector has expanded considerably in recent decades. Many techniques and operations management applications are utilized in the air transportation industry. These include demand forecasting, which predicts future passenger numbers and helps with planning capacity and resources. This research aims to forecast the number of domestic airplane passenger arrivals using the ARIMA model with Minitab 22 and explore the implications on the decision-making of operational management strategies in aviation industries in Indonesia. The data was collected from the Central Bureau of Statistics (Badan Pusat Statistik-BPS) database on airline domestic passenger arrivals in Indonesia. The results show that the best ARIMA model is 1,0,1. The forecasting results show the upper and lower numbers of passengers for five years. The significant increase in air passengers necessitates that airlines focus on fleet capacity, flight availability, and service quality improvements while maintaining competitive ticket prices to maintain passenger numbers. Implementing effective forecasting and dynamic pricing strategies can optimize operational efficiency and ensure sustainable growth in the aviation industry.

Abstract

This study focused on determining the challenges of Filipino employees who are on a work from home environment during the pandemic period and assessed how it impacts on their productivity. A total of 400 respondents from various industries in Metro Manila, currently on a work-from-home environment, participated on this study. Findings revealed that during work hours, employees talk less with their coworkers, which means there are fewer chances for social interaction with other people. A lack of supervision and communication with coworkers, a desire to work on-site, a lack of extracurricular activities, and reconnecting with coworkers through team building all have a moderate impact on their productivity.
