Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cooperative learning models and learning motivation on student learning outcomes on chemical bonding materials. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of students on complex chemical materials, especially chemical bonds, which are often caused by a lack of understanding of concepts and low student learning motivation. To overcome this problem, a cooperative learning model is proposed as an effective strategy. This study uses a quantitative method with a pseudo-experimental design involving two classes as samples: an experimental class that uses a cooperative learning model and a control class with conventional learning methods. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests and learning motivation questionnaires. The study results show that the cooperative learning model positively and significantly influences student learning outcomes. In addition, it was found that student learning motivation plays a role as a moderation variable that strengthens the impact of learning models on learning outcomes. In conclusion, using cooperative learning models effectively improves student learning outcomes, especially when combined with efforts to increase learning motivation. Therefore, this learning model is recommended for chemistry learning, especially in chemical bonding materials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the female body is colonized in Ahmad Tohari's novel "The Dancer." The novel portrays the lives of women in Javanese culture, shaped by colonialism and patriarchy, and illustrates how the female body becomes a site of domination, control, and exploitation. Utilizing a postcolonial feminist perspective, this research examines the experiences of physical, psychological, and social oppression faced by the female characters in the novel and their responses to various forms of colonization of their bodies. The findings reveal that through narrative and characterization, Ahmad Tohari explores the complexities of female identity influenced by colonial history and patriarchal structures. These findings highlight the importance of understanding the female body as a battleground between dominant forces and women's resistance against various forms of oppression. Thus, this study contributes to the broader discourse on gender and colonialism studies in Indonesian literature.

Abstract

Fee-free education has become crucial to global efforts to achieve the Education for All (EFA) goals. This policy has been implemented in Indonesia through various programs, including the School Operational Assistance (BOS) and Indonesia Smart Program (PIP), to support underprivileged families. However, there still needs to be more funding that parents must cover to support their children's education. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of fee-free education in Bantul District, Yogyakarta, and explore the financial needs that parents still have to meet. The research employs a qualitative method with an exploratory, descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews with parents, school principals, and teachers in 16 elementary schools in Bantul. The results indicate that the funds provided by the government through BOS and PIP are insufficient to cover the full education costs, particularly for students with special needs. Parents still face additional fees, such as uniforms, books, and transportation. In conclusion, while the fee-free education policy is in place, increased funding allocation is necessary to ensure that all children, especially those from disadvantaged families, can access quality education without financial burdens.

Abstract

The development of the digital era has changed political communication strategies, especially in reaching Generation Z voters. Social media such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok have become the main platforms for delivering political messages. The purpose of this study is to analyze Generation Z's views on political communication strategies carried out by politicians in the digital era, as well as identify the effectiveness of social media platforms in attracting the attention of young voters. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation and interviews with six informants from Generation Z who have the right to vote. The analysis was conducted by categorizing the data into relevant themes. The results showed that political communication strategies using social media succeeded in attracting Generation Z's attention. Interesting political messaging and visual content are effective in increasing young voters' interest. The informants revealed that casual and familiar language, as well as the use of humor in political content, greatly influenced their engagement. Social media not only facilitates access to political information, but also enables direct interaction between politicians and voters. However, challenges such as the spread of fake news and the need for critical skills in assessing information are significant barriers for Generation Z. Political communication strategies that utilize social media are very effective for attracting Generation Z. However, efforts need to be made to ensure the accuracy of information and build critical skills in assessing news, so that Generation Z can participate informally in the political process.

Abstract

In urban contexts, students often face challenges related to educational resources and parental involvement, which affect their academic achievement. This study aims to investigate the influence of learning environment and parental support on the academic achievement of primary school students in urban areas. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with students, parents and teachers. The findings showed that students who were in a supportive school environment and supported by active parents showed higher academic motivation and better resilience. The results highlight the importance of classroom resources, teacher engagement and consistent parental support as significant factors in student achievement. However, socioeconomic factors often limit parental involvement, suggesting the need for flexible school-based engagement programs. This research recommends that urban schools adopt collaborative strategies to improve in-school support and parental engagement, thus creating a comprehensive support network for students. The conclusion of this study suggests that strengthening school-parent partnerships and improving the classroom environment are critical to improving students' academic achievement.

Abstract

The Greater Malang Region, which consists of Malang Regency, Malang City, and Batu City, has great natural resource potential, but still faces challenges in achieving economic consistency. Economic inequality in this region is a concern, especially in the context of the role of basic economic sectors. This study aims to identify the basic economic sectors that play a role in reducing economic inequality in the Greater Malang region and analyze their contribution to the regional economic structure. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with Time Series analysis of GRDP in Greater Malang. The analytical tools used include Location Quotient (LQ) Analysis to identify basic and non-basic sectors, and Williamson Index (IW) Analysis to measure the level of economic inequality. The analysis shows that: 1) Malang Regency has basic sectors such as agriculture, industry, and trade; 2) Malang City is dominated by services and education sectors; 3) Batu City has strong agriculture and tourism sectors. Economic inequality in Greater Malang shows a fluctuating trend with an increasing IW value, indicating non-optimization in the development of potential economic sectors. These findings indicate the need to strengthen basic sectors to support more equitable economic growth. While potential exists, more targeted development is needed to reduce inequality and improve community welfare. This study concludes that the basic economic sectors play a key role in reducing economic inequality in Malang Raya. However, the development of these sectors still needs to be optimized to achieve better results in people's economic welfare.
