Abstract

The existence of doctors and nurses or other health professionals in hospitals in the implementation of health services must be able to realize the highest degree of health for the community, integrated and comprehensive health efforts are carried out in the form of individual health efforts and public health efforts. This certainly makes it interesting to discuss the legal position of doctors and nurses as implementers of health services in hospitals, and the legal position of hospitals as places where health services are implemented. This study uses the theory of legal protection so as to obtain results where the legal position of doctors and nurses as implementers of health services and as parties who provide treatment to people who need it, while the legal position of hospitals as a place where health services are implemented or as a place for patients who receive health services which in this case is carried out by medical personnel, specifically doctors and nurses and the position of patients as the party who needs health services, where this relationship is a very personal relationship because it is based on the trust of the patient in the doctor which is called a therapeutic transaction while the nurse in the medical action carried out by the doctor is based on the delegation of authority regulated by law.

Abstract

Hospitals are health service institutions that have a central role in providing medical services to the community. The quality of service provided by hospitals greatly determines the level of patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction is not only influenced by the results of treatment, but also by various other aspects such as the friendliness of medical personnel, speed of service, comfort of facilities, a sense of empathy by medical personnel, the use of health insurance and ease of administration. The purpose of this study is to find out how much health insurance and empathy affect outpatient satisfaction in hospitals. This study is a meta-analysis research with article search conducted based on the feasibility criteria of the PICO model, including: P = Outpatient; I= Health and empathy insurance; C= No health insurance and no empathy; O= Patient satisfaction. Articles were collected from Google Scholar, PubMed and Science Direct. Keywords use "Health insurance" AND "empathy" AND "patient satisfaction" AND "outpatient" AND "Cross-sectional" AND "Multivariate" OR "Adjusted Odds Ratio". The study used 7 selected cross-sectional studies for meta-analysis, with 4,517 respondents indicating that patients with health insurance were 2.27 times more likely to feel satisfied than patients without health insurance. (aOR= 2.27; CI 95%= 1.24 to 4.14; p< 0.02), and patients who had a sense of empathy were 3.41 times more likely to feel satisfaction than patients who did not have a sense of empathy (aOR= 3.41; CI 95%= 2.33 to 4.98; p< 0.52). The conclusion is that health insurance and Empathy can improve outpatient satisfaction in Hospitals. The keywords used were Health Insurance, Empathy, Patient Satisfaction, Outpatients, and Hospitals.

Abstract

Digital transformation is fundamentally reshaping Human Resource Management (HRM) in Indonesia’s banking sector, driving strategic evolution alongside the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach to examine how digital tools, particularly AI-powered people analytics, automated recruitment systems, and adaptive e-learning platforms, are redefining traditional HR functions. HR roles are shifting from administrative tasks to strategic, data-driven partnerships that support organizational decision-making and innovation. Findings indicate that AI adoption significantly enhances operational efficiency by streamlining routine processes, improving talent placement accuracy, and enabling predictive analytics for turnover management. These technologies also promote more objective performance evaluations and support personalized employee development, thereby boosting workforce competency and engagement. However, technology adoption alone is insufficient. Successful digital transformation requires a synergistic approach that integrates advanced technologies with an adaptive organizational culture, committed leadership, and comprehensive upskilling and reskilling programs. Compliance with regulations set by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), particularly in data security and cyber resilience, is identified as a critical pillar for sustainable implementation. The study concludes that banks aligning HR strategies with digital capabilities, while fostering a supportive culture and maintaining regulatory compliance, are best positioned to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in the Society 5.0 era. This research offers practical insights for HR professionals and banking executives to navigate digital transformation, emphasizing the importance of a holistic strategy that balances innovation with human-centric development and robust governance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the influence of the Provision of Employee Income Allowances (TPP) and Work Motivation on Teacher Performance at the Department of Education in Merauke Regency, both individually and jointly. This study uses a quantitative research approach by applying statistical analysis to assess the extent of the relationship between the independent variables, namely income allowances and motivation, and the dependent variable, which is teacher performance. The results show that both income allowances and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. When assessed individually, each factor contributes meaningfully to enhancing performance. However, when analyzed together, their combined effect is more pronounced. This indicates that an appropriate balance between financial support and strong work motivation can create a supportive and productive working environment. Such a condition is vital in improving the effectiveness and quality of the learning process. In public institutions like the Department of Education, these findings underline the importance of designing policies that not only provide sufficient financial incentives but also foster intrinsic motivation among educators. The presence of fair compensation and a motivating work atmosphere encourages teachers to be more committed, responsible, and effective in carrying out their duties. This study concludes that efforts to improve teacher performance must consider both financial and non-financial aspects to achieve sustainable improvements in educational outcomes and service quality.

Abstract

This research evaluates changes in density and coverage of mangrove vegetation in the Mamboro coastline between 2018 and 2025 using the NDVI index from Sentinel-2 imagery. In 2018, the area of mangroves was recorded at 89.25 hectares, dominated by sparse and moderate density classes, reflecting degradation due to human activities and tsunami impacts. By 2025, the mangrove area increased to 183.07 hectares, but was dominated by moderate and sparse classes, while the dense class actually decreased. This indicates that although the area has increased, the quality of the vegetation has declined. Active rehabilitation after the tsunami, through the planting of over 37,000 mangrove seedlings by the government and local communities, contributed to the recovery of previously open areas. The planted species include Rhizophora mucronata, Avicennia marina, and Sonneratia alba. The diversity index shows moderate diversity, but the dominance of certain species remains high. This ecosystem also serves as an important nursery ground for juvenile fish, supporting the productivity of local fisheries. Research findings emphasize the importance of focusing rehabilitation not only on expanding areas but also on improving the quality of vegetation through community-based approaches, regular monitoring, and management policies.

Abstract

Financial resilience extends beyond mere profit figures, encompassing the influence of leadership composition and external networks on corporate decision-making. This study investigates how profitability, board size, female representation in management, and political connections affect financial distress in infrastructure companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2023. Using the Altman Z-Score as the primary measure of financial stability, data were collected from 51 companies, resulting in 153 observations through purposive sampling. The analysis uncovers a nuanced relationship between governance and financial health. Profitability emerges as a strong protective factor against financial distress, suggesting that firms generating higher profits are better positioned to withstand economic pressures. Conversely, larger boards of directors, the inclusion of women in managerial roles, and political connections appear to increase the likelihood of financial vulnerability, indicating that more complex governance structures and external affiliations may introduce risks or inefficiencies. Notably, the presence of women on commissioner boards shows no statistically significant impact, highlighting that effects may vary depending on the level of leadership. These findings emphasize that financial resilience is not solely determined by numerical performance but is intricately linked to leadership composition, diversity in decision-making, and political networks, underlining the multifaceted nature of corporate stability and the importance of strategic governance choices.

Abstract

Taxes serve as a fundamental source of state revenue, contributing to economic growth and enhancing societal well-being. However, the challenges of increasing tax revenue have become increasingly complex, especially in the energy sector, which significantly contributes to the national budget. This study examines how capital intensity, firm size, and Return on Assets (ROA) affect the Effective Tax Rate (ETR). This study examines firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2018 and 2023, collecting data through purposive sampling. The data analysis employs multiple regression methods using panel data. The results indicate that capital intensity has a negative impact on ETR, firm size does not contribute significantly, and ROA also negatively affects ETR. These findings imply that the government can formulate strategies to address tax evasion in the energy sector, thereby optimizing tax revenue for the state

Abstract

Indonesia, as the world’s largest archipelagic country, possesses a wealth of strategic natural resources, including oil and natural gas, which are vital to the national economy. The phenomenon of unauthorized fuel trading poses systemic risks and economic losses, as reflected in the case of the Palangkaraya District Court Decision Number 228/PID.SUS/2024/PN.PLK. This study aims to analyze the legal accountability of individuals involved in the transportation of fuel without a commercial business license, based on Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Natural Gas and Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade, with a particular focus on the judge’s ratio decidendi. The research uses a normative legal method with statutory, conceptual, and case-based approaches. The population includes all legal materials related to the legal responsibility for unauthorized fuel transportation, with the primary sample being Decision Number 228/PID.SUS/2024/PN.PLK, selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments include quotation cards, analytical matrices, and a categorization framework for legal materials, analyzed using a descriptive-analytical qualitative technique. The findings reveal that the defendant, Hengky Nurcholis, was legally proven to have transported 10,000 liters of Pertamina Dex fuel without an official license and was sentenced to a fine of IDR 30,000,000 with a subsidiary imprisonment of two months. The study concludes that violations of fuel licensing regulations constitute criminal acts that threaten the stability of the national energy distribution system and require firm yet proportionate law enforcement through an individualized sentencing approach.

Abstract

The development of information technology has facilitated the rise of online child prostitution cases in Indonesia; however, the application of criminal sanctions against perpetrators has yet to fully reflect the principle of justice. This study aims to analyze the application of criminal sanctions for users of child prostitution services based on the theory of justice, through a case study of Decision Number 1172/Pid.Sus/2024/PN Sby. The research employs a normative legal approach with normative juridical techniques. The research population includes all legal materials related to criminal sanctions for child prostitution, with the sample consisting of court decisions, statutory regulations, and legal literature selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments include a document analysis guide, with data analyzed using normative descriptive-analytical qualitative techniques. The findings show that the judge imposed a prison sentence of 4 years and a fine of IDR 120,000,000 under the Human Trafficking Law, rather than the Child Protection Law as demanded by the prosecutor. The judge's considerations emphasized mitigating factors more than the protection of the child victim. The study concludes that the application of criminal sanctions has not been optimal in providing a deterrent effect and delivering justice to victims, thus highlighting the need for policy reform with stricter sanctions and sentencing guidelines that prioritize the best interests of the child.
