Abstract

Instilling anti-corruption values from an early age is crucial for building honest, disciplined, and responsible character in children. This study aims to analyze the role of the school environment and parents in instilling anti-corruption values in early childhood at RA Darul Arifin. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with the principal, teachers, and parents as subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations of learning activities, and documentation studies. Data were then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that schools play a key role in instilling the values of honesty, discipline, and responsibility through habituation activities, teacher role models, play-based learning, and the integration of religious activities. Parents play a role in reinforcing these values through role modeling at home, open communication, and monitoring children's behavior. The main challenge comes from the influence of excessive viewing and use of gadgets. The implications of this study suggest that instilling anti-corruption values will be more effective if there is ongoing synergy between schools and families through consistent communication and collaboration.

Abstract

Public opinion surveys are widely used as indicators of governmental legitimacy. However, quantitative approaches often fail to capture the complex meanings embedded in public responses. This study highlights the importance of discourse analysis in interpreting survey data, particularly amid declining public trust in the Indonesian government during Q2 2025. This research applies Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to secondary data from the Kawula17 Q2 2025 Survey. The analysis follows three dimensions: textual, discursive practice, and social practice, focusing on issues of corruption, economy, and gender legislation (RUU PPRT). Public opinion emerges as a discursive construction marked by ambivalence, symbolic resistance, and critique of power relations. Expressions like “death penalty for corruptors” and “the little people are suffering” reflect tensions between state narratives and citizens’ lived realities. Public opinion is not neutral; it is shaped by social structures and dominant ideologies. CDA offers a critical lens to reinterpret political surveys as socially embedded texts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of dehumanization and mechanization in modern healthcare, which tends to reduce patient dignity to mere clinical objects. Amidst the current of healthcare commercialization, a philosophical reorientation is required to integrate medical sophistication with human values. This study aims to construct a hospital service paradigm based on the manhaj al-fikr (method of thought) of Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja). Employing a qualitative research method with a library research approach, this study analyzes the four pillars of Aswaja—tawassuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), i’tidal (justice), and tasamuh (tolerance)—as the foundation for hospital governance. The results indicate that the internalization of these pillars produces a “Spiritual-Humanist” service model. The pillars of tawassuth and tawazun play a role in synthesizing medical technology with spiritual care, while the pillars of i’tidal and tasamuh ensure the enforcement of distributive justice and inclusivity for a pluralistic society. This transformation results in the strengthening of healthcare professionals’ public service motivation and the restoration of public trust in hospitals as healing oases that humanize individuals.

Abstract

Digital governance is often expected to expand public participation, strengthen transparency, and foster deliberative democracy by enabling dialogic interaction between the state and citizens. Yet, whether digital government platforms can facilitate communicative action and equal deliberation remains contested, given risks of fragmentation, algorithmic influence, and unequal access. This study critically assesses the extent to which Habermasian deliberative democracy is realized in contemporary digital governance practices, examining whether government platforms function as arenas for rational deliberation or reproduce new forms of exclusion and social isolation. Using a qualitative approach based on critical literature review and conceptual analysis of policies, platform designs, and online participation practices, the study finds that while digital platforms open channels for two-way communication, participation is largely procedural, elitist, and fragmented. Digital spaces frequently operate as sites of symbolic expression rather than substantive deliberation, shaped by technocratic rationality and structural power. The study argues that strengthening deliberative democracy requires participatory platform architecture, transparent policy feedback, and efforts to reduce algorithmic domination and digital inequality.

Abstract

This study examines how disaster ontology shapes the ways flood risks are understood and governed in flood-prone regions. Using a qualitative critical–interpretive approach, the research analyzes community narratives, institutional practices, and policy documents to uncover the dominance of fatalistic interpretations that frame floods as unavoidable destiny. Such views reproduce reactive responses and weaken the institutionalization of disaster science in planning and risk management. The findings also reveal emerging elements of a science-based resilience ontology, reflected in community initiatives, the use of risk data, and limited cross-actor collaboration. The study argues that reconstructing disaster ontology is a fundamental prerequisite for building adaptive and equitable flood risk governance. Integrating scientific knowledge, transforming perspectives, and strengthening collaborative governance are essential to shift from reactive disaster management toward long-term, science-informed resilience.

Abstract

Character development in primary education is closely linked to the internalization of moral and ethical values, which remains a challenge in formal schools due to variations in educational leadership quality. This study aims to examine reflective leadership as a strategic approach to strengthening moral and ethical values in primary education through a case study conducted at MIS Al Ikhlas Kampung Dalam. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and analysis of school policy documents and activities. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and technique triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that reflective leadership is demonstrated through continuous policy evaluation, openness to feedback, and ethically grounded decision-making. This leadership approach fosters a positive moral school culture and supports students’ character formation through role modeling and value internalization in everyday school practices.

Abstract

Interior design plays an important role in shaping corporate image and influencing users’ emotional experiences, particularly in premium sports facilities such as driving ranges. The VIP Room at Jababeka Golf & Country Club Driving Range is designed as a private training space that requires a high level of comfort, calmness, and focus. This study aims to analyze the application of color psychology in the interior design of the VIP Room based on Elliot’s Color-in-Context Theory (2015). The research adopts a qualitative-descriptive approach using a case study strategy, referring to the design process proposed by Rosemary Kilmer, which consists of analysis and synthesis stages. The unit of analysis consists of three VIP Room spaces within the driving range facility. Data were collected through field observations, visual documentation, and semi-structured interviews with management representatives and interior design stakeholders, supported by a literature review. Data analysis was conducted using thematic coding, focusing on the relationship between color application and users’ psychological responses. The results indicate that the dominance of green, combined with neutral tones and dark accents, creates psychologically stable and calming conditions that support user concentration. Furthermore, controlled color application reinforces the professional and exclusive image of the VIP Room, thereby enhancing the overall user experience.

Abstract

Land use conflicts are complex phenomena that are not only related to legal and policy issues but also rooted in how humans understand and interpret nature. This study examines land use conflicts through the perspectives of ecological justice and the social construction of nature using a philosophical-critical approach. Drawing on qualitative literature review and critical discourse analysis of environmental philosophy, justice theory, and land-use policy discourse, the study develops a conceptual framework for analyzing how competing constructions of nature shape conflict trajectories. The analysis demonstrates that anthropocentric discourses tend to legitimize exploitative land-use practices and marginalize the intrinsic value and ecological functions of nature. It also identifies a structural clash between state–corporate constructions of land as an economic asset and local/community constructions of land as a socio-cultural and ecological lifeworld, reinforced by power relations and policy regimes that remain insensitive to ecological justice. The study concludes that land-use conflicts reflect systemic ecological injustice and therefore require a philosophical reconstruction of the human-nature relationship, positioning ecological justice as a normative foundation for land governance and sustainable policy formulation.
