Abstract

This paper synthesizes findings from prior studies that investigate English teachers’ perceptions and practices in implementing English curriculum policies for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in Indonesian classrooms. A total of 25 national and international research articles published between 2013 and 2025 were reviewed to describe how teachers understand curriculum policy, respond to curriculum change, and engage in continuous professional development. The review also explores challenges teachers face and strategies they employ when translating curriculum documents into classroom practices. The analysis identifies four recurring themes: (1) varied perceptions of curriculum policy documents, (2) gaps between conceptual understanding and classroom implementation, (3) the influence of teacher competence on curriculum enactment, and (4) forms of resistance and constraints that limit teachers’ awareness and adoption of curriculum guidelines. Overall, the findings highlight the critical role of teacher knowledge, competence, and institutional support in shaping curriculum implementation across classroom contexts, and suggest the need for more sustained professional development aligned with actual teaching realities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Adversity Quotient (AQ) on academic stress among 2022 cohort students of the Islamic Education Study Program (PAI) during the completion of their final project at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Academic stress is defined as physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral pressure resulting from academic demands, whereas AQ reflects students’ ability to face difficulties and endure stress. The study was conducted in the odd semester of 2025/2026 with a population of 388 students and a sample of 79 respondents selected using simple random sampling based on Slovin’s formula. The instrument was a 30-item Likert-scale questionnaire, which was validated and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha: AQ = 0.965; academic stress = 0.975). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression after confirming normality and linearity assumptions. Results indicate that AQ has a significant negative effect on academic stress (t = –11.519; p = 0.000), with a strong relationship (R = 0.795) and 63.3% of stress variation explained by AQ. Students with higher AQ are better able to self-regulate, handle pressure, and employ adaptive coping strategies. The findings underscore the importance of enhancing AQ through mentoring, problem-solving training, and resilience-based counseling to reduce academic stress.

This study aims to analyze the strategies of alumni of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program (KPI), Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, UIN Raden Intan Lampung, in optimizing LinkedIn as a medium for career development and improving professional competence. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that alumni implemented various strategies, including profile optimization, personal branding management, utilization of professional networks, and active engagement with educational content through accessing and sharing information. The intensity of use was grouped into three patterns: monthly passive use, weekly use, and active use two to four times per week focused on personal branding and networking. Differences in intensity of use affect the benefits obtained, including increased professional competence, network expansion, and increased access to career related information and opportunities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between learning motivation and learning autonomy in Fiqh learning at Al Hikmah Islamic Boarding School, Bandar Lampung. A quantitative correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of 32 third-grade Wustho students, representing the entire population (N = 32). Data were collected using validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Pearson correlation. The results revealed a very weak correlation between learning motivation and learning autonomy (R = 0.030), with a coefficient of determination of R² = 0.001. The significance test yielded a Sig. value of 0.873 (> 0.05), indicating that the relationship between the two variables is not statistically significant. These findings suggest that learning motivation explains only a negligible proportion of the variance in students’ learning autonomy within the context of Fiqh learning in a pesantren environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic educational values in Surah Luqman verses 12–19 among millennial Muslim families in Kasihan District and to identify the challenges faced in the internalization process. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations with six families. The findings indicate that the values of aqidah, morality, and worship are implemented through prayer routines, respect toward parents, communal prayer, and explanations of worship meanings. However, families face challenges such as technological influence, shifting communication patterns between parents and children, and limited religious knowledge. These factors affect the consistency of Islamic value habituation in daily life. The study concludes that while the values of Surah Luqman have been applied positively, optimal implementation requires strengthened religious literacy, proper technology management, and broader community support.

Abstract

This study analyzes the management of Merdeka Curriculum development in improving the quality of student learning outcomes through a literature review method. The study examines recent academic sources published between 2023 and 2025 related to curriculum management, Merdeka Curriculum implementation, and student learning outcomes. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum promotes learning flexibility through differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and the integration of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). Effective curriculum management (covering planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation) plays a crucial role in ensuring successful implementation. Based on the synthesis of previous empirical studies, diverse and flexible learning approaches are reported to enhance student engagement, creativity, and academic achievement, with several studies indicating improvements in learning outcomes ranging from approximately 15–20%. Teachers’ roles as facilitators and designers of contextual learning are identified as key success factors. Overall, effective management of Merdeka Curriculum development contributes to the comprehensive improvement of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) learning model in enhancing students' evaluative cognitive skills (C5) in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at the junior high school level. The gap between the need for teaching that fosters higher-order thinking skills and the current teaching practices, which are still dominated by a lecture-based approach, provides the backdrop for this research. A quantitative approach with a Posttest-Only Control Group design was used, involving two classes selected through cluster random sampling. The analysis results show a significant difference in evaluative abilities between the experimental group and the control group, confirming that the CORE model has a positive impact on facilitating critical thinking and argument-based decision-making. These findings provide strong empirical support to reinforce the constructivist approach in IRE teaching and recommend expanding the application of the CORE model to more diverse contexts and cognitive domains in the future.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 demands innovation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning management, particularly to accommodate the characteristics of Generation Z, who are highly familiar with technology and prefer interactive, visual, and experiential learning. This study focuses specifically on analyzing the management of IRE learning through the integration of digital interactive media, covering planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and the development of students’ religious character. Employing a qualitative library research approach, data were collected from books, national journal articles, proceedings, and relevant educational policy documents published between 2016 and 2024. Data analysis followed a systematic descriptive-analytical procedure. The findings indicate that innovations such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), interactive videos, gamification, technology-based worship simulations, religious e-portfolios, and digital projects significantly enhance student engagement, deepen religious understanding, and support the internalization of Islamic values among Generation Z. The study confirms the strategic role of digital interactive media in creating adaptive, effective, and relevant IRE learning, emphasizing the need for adequate infrastructure, teacher digital literacy, and institutional support.
