Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of Qur’anic learning in early childhood education through strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence at Ma’had Tarbiyyah Al-Aulad Al-Manshurah Purbalingga. In this study, transformation refers to changes in teaching methods, learning media, and evaluation practices adapted to early childhood characteristics. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving three teachers and 23 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence leads to more varied teaching methods, such as integrating memorization with games and movement, the use of creative learning media including hijaiyah cards and visual aids, and more adaptive evaluation techniques based on observation and individual progress. These changes contribute to increased student engagement, improved recognition of hijaiyah letters, and the development of early religious habits. These findings indicate that pedagogical competence plays a crucial role in creating effective and developmentally appropriate Qur’anic learning in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze tahfizh learning strategies in elementary education through the application of tikrar, talaqqi, and verse visualization methods. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach involving elementary school students participating in Qur’an memorization programs. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with tahfizh teachers and students. The results show that the use of tikrar (repetition), talaqqi and musyafahah, and verse visualization using a consistent mushaf contributes to better memorization practices, reading accuracy, and student engagement in memorizing the Qur’an. The use of memorization control books and structured murojaah also helps maintain students’ memorization consistency. The combination of these methods is more effective than using a single method because it is more suitable for the characteristics of students at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the purification of waste cooking oil using hydrochloric acid (HCl)-activated clay as an adsorbent. Repeated use of cooking oil causes chemical degradation, leading to an increase in free fatty acids and the formation of harmful compounds that pose health risks. Therefore, an effective and economical purification method is required. This research employed a factorial experimental design by varying contact time (20, 40, and 60 minutes) and adsorbent dosage (1, 2, and 3 grams). The effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated based on acid number, color, and odor, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that activated clay significantly improved the physical characteristics of the oil by reducing unpleasant odor and increasing clarity. The lowest acid number based on contact time was obtained at 40 minutes (2.8 mg NaOH/g), while the optimum adsorbent dosage was 2 grams (1.6 mg NaOH/g). However, the resulting acid values have not yet met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). These findings indicate that HCl-activated clay has strong potential as a low-cost adsorbent for waste cooking oil purification, although further optimization is required to meet quality standards.
