Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ efforts in instilling Islamic character values in early childhood at TK IT Rabbani Muara Enim, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and the principal. The results show that teachers instill Islamic values through habituation, including greeting, handshaking, memorizing daily prayers, practicing prayer, and fostering discipline and independence. The implementation is carried out through routine, integrated, and special programs. Supporting factors include collaboration between teachers and parents, adequate facilities, and students’ internal motivation. Inhibiting factors include lack of family supervision, diverse student characteristics, and limited concentration during learning. Overall, consistent habituation and cooperation among school and family play an important role in developing Islamic character in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of population administration services at the Saparua Subdistrict Office, Central Maluku Regency. The research focuses on four key indicators: productivity, service quality, responsiveness, and accountability of public service officials. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation conducted between Juli–September 2024. The findings indicate that population administration services in Saparua still face several challenges, including limited human resources, inadequate facilities, and unstable internet connectivity. Service productivity remains suboptimal, with an average of 20–25 documents processed per day out of a target of 40. Service quality and responsiveness are constrained by weak public communication and insufficient supervision. Nevertheless, there is a growing commitment from local government to enhance service delivery through the digitalization of the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) and continuous capacity building for civil servants. The study concludes that improving service performance requires an integrated strategy encompassing digital infrastructure enhancement, human resource strengthening, and managerial reform oriented toward digital governance. The results are expected to contribute empirically to strengthening digital public service transformation policies in archipelagic regions.

Abstract

Bullying in school environments has become an increasingly serious issue among adolescents, with significant impacts on students’ psychological, social, and academic well-being. This study aims to strengthen students’ legal awareness of bullying through the socialization of the Indonesian Criminal Code (Law No. 1 of 2023) at SMP Negeri 43 Maluku Tengah, Negeri Ihamahu. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using participatory observation, involving 211 students across grades 1 to 3. The activity was conducted in four stages: preparation, implementation of socialization, discussion and interaction, and evaluation. The results indicate that prior to the activity, many students perceived bullying as a normal social interaction. However, after the socialization, students demonstrated improved understanding that bullying—whether physical, verbal, social, or cyber—can have serious consequences and may constitute a criminal act under the new Criminal Code. The study also highlights the effectiveness of a restorative justice approach in fostering empathy, responsibility, and behavioral change among students. This research contributes by integrating anti-bullying education with legal literacy, providing a more comprehensive preventive strategy to create a safe and supportive school environment.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the digital era has encouraged the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the learning process, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of AI utilization in PAI learning at SMK 2 Bandar Lampung. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of 735 students who had participated in PAI classes. Samples were selected using a simple random sampling technique through the Spin the Wheel application, with class XI B as the experimental group implementing AI-based learning and class XI A as the control group receiving conventional instruction. The findings indicate that the implementation of AI-based learning has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of PAI learning. This is evidenced by the t-test result showing a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.002 (< 0.05). Therefore, there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of Islamic educational values in the Rabab Pasisia performance presented by Hasan Basri in the story of Lamang Tanjuang Ampalu. This research employed a qualitative approach with a semiotic analysis method to reveal the meanings embedded in the narrative, symbols, expressions, and musical elements of the performance. The main data source was a performance video analyzed through observation and documentation. The findings indicate that Rabab Pasisia contains a system of signs at three levels of meaning: denotative, connotative, and myth. Denotatively, the story depicts the life of a character facing social conflicts. Connotatively, the performance represents Islamic educational values, such as ṣabr, amanah, and tawakkal, conveyed through narrative and musical expression. At the level of myth, the story reflects the collective values of Minangkabau society integrated with Islamic teachings. This study concludes that Rabab Pasisia functions as a medium of Islamic education based on local wisdom that is effective in shaping community character.

Abstract

The design of sports arena interiors currently emphasizes not only functional aspects but also user comfort, aesthetics, and spatial identity that reflect contemporary needs. This study aims to design the interior of Grogol Sports Arena, Jakarta, using a contemporary design approach to improve spatial quality, user comfort, and functionality. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method through field observations, interviews with users and managers, documentation, literature studies, and comparative studies with other sports facilities. The design process adopted Rosemary Kilmer’s design method, which includes problem identification, data collection, concept development, design refinement, and evaluation stages. The results indicate that the application of contemporary concepts through efficient zoning, functional circulation, modern materials, dynamic color schemes, optimal lighting, and integrated safety systems can create a more comfortable and attractive sports environment. The proposed design is expected to enhance user experience while supporting sports and social activities in urban public spaces.

Abstract

This study examines communicative negotiation strategies in digital talk shows through a rhetorical communication analysis of the Mata Najwa program. In the context of contemporary digital public communication, talk shows function not only as platforms for information dissemination but also as spaces for negotiating opinions, managing public discourse, and constructing communicative legitimacy. This research aims to analyze communicative negotiation strategies, persuasive rhetoric, and communication deadlock management in digital public dialogue. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using rhetorical communication analysis on three of the most viewed episodes of Mata Najwa on YouTube, namely Eksklusif: Prabowo Subianto Bicara, 20 Tahun Timor Leste: Cerita Setelah Merdeka, and Ujian Reformasi: Perlawanan Mahasiswa (Part 1). Data were collected through digital content observation, documentation, and dialogue transcription, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that communicative negotiation in the program is reflected through issue reframing, argumentative clarification, emotional management, adaptive communication strategies, and rhetorical approaches to overcoming communication deadlocks. Furthermore, persuasive rhetoric in the program is constructed through the integration of ethos, pathos, and logos in building public credibility, emotional engagement, and argumentative legitimacy. The study concludes that the success of digital public communication is influenced not only by the ability to deliver information but also by communicative negotiation skills, rhetorical persuasion, and adaptive communication management in dynamic public discourse. This study contributes to the development of digital communication and public relations studies, particularly regarding rhetorical negotiation practices in contemporary digital talk shows.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between discipline dimensions and employee performance at Perum Bulog Regional Office of Maluku and North Maluku. The research addresses a gap in previous studies that commonly treated work discipline as an aggregate variable and rarely examined its specific dimensions separately. A quantitative correlational design was applied using a total sampling approach; all 79 employees were invited to participate, and 27 complete questionnaires were analyzed. Pearson product-moment correlation was employed as a bivariate mapping technique. The findings show that goal and ability, compensation, punishment, assertiveness, and human relations have strong and significant correlations with employee performance, while leadership role model has a moderate significant correlation. In contrast, fairness and supervision show no significant correlation with performance. Because the data rely on a small effective sample and self-report questionnaires, the findings should be interpreted as associative rather than causal. The study contributes to human resource management by clarifying which discipline dimensions are most closely associated with employee performance and by offering practical guidance for strengthening organizational discipline policies.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze strategies for planning, managing, and distributing facilities in the implementation of needs assessment results at Islamic educational institutions. The urgency of this research is based on a managerial phenomenon where assessment reports often become merely administrative documents without actual implementation, due to the institution's lack of supporting capacity. The method used is a literature review (library research), collecting data from various systematic sources such as reference books and scientific articles. The results show that utilizing assessment results requires the provision of facilities across four main domains: physical facilities, non-physical facilities, human resources, and financial resources. These categories of facilities serve as bridges to connect the gap between the current condition and the ideal state expected in madrasahs or pesantrens. The conclusion emphasizes that the success of implementing assessment results largely depends on integrating findings into the institution's strategic plans, optimizing Islamic philanthropic funds (ZISWAF), and applying transformational leadership to overcome financial challenges and resistance to change. With proper prioritization, facility provision can sustainably improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of financial independence through sharia-based business practices within Islamic educational institutions. The background of this research is rooted in the increasing need for financial sustainability in educational institutions, particularly those relying heavily on external funding sources. A literature review method is employed, utilizing both primary sources such as peer-reviewed journals and secondary sources including books and institutional reports. The findings indicate that sharia business models not only provide financial support but also instill entrepreneurial values, ethical awareness, and practical skills among students. Moreover, the integration of Islamic economic principles such as fairness, transparency, and prohibition of riba strengthens institutional credibility and community trust. However, challenges remain in terms of managerial capacity, innovation, and market competitiveness. This study concludes that financial independence in Islamic educational institutions can be effectively achieved through structured and sustainable sharia-based business initiatives, supported by strategic planning and stakeholder collaboration.
