Abstract

Digital transformation has changed consumer behavior patterns, including an increase in marketplace users that encourage compulsive buying behavior among generation Z. Data from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024 shows that the number of marketplace users will increase from 38.72 million in 2020 to 58.63 million in 2023 and is predicted to reach 99.1 million in 2029. This study aims to determine the influence of hedonic motivation on compulsive buying and test the role of fear of missing out (FoMO) as a mediating variable. The research was conducted in Denpasar City with a quantitative approach and purposive sampling method on 100 marketplace user respondents. The analysis technique used is path analysis. The results of the study showed that hedonic motivation had a positive and significant effect on compulsive buying and FoMO. FoMO also has a positive and significant effect on compulsive buying and partially mediates the relationship between hedonic motivation and compulsive buying. The conclusions of this study show that hedonic motivation and FoMO play an important role in encouraging excessive shopping behavior in the marketplace.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Authority of the Investigation Supervision Division (Bagwassidik) in Case Resolution at the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Bali Regional Police." The background of this study is based on the significant role of Bagwassidik in ensuring that the investigation process complies with the principles of criminal procedural law and the principles of fair and accountable justice. In practice, the investigation of special criminal cases often faces administrative and coordination issues, which affect the effectiveness of case resolution. This study aims to examine the implementation of Bagwassidik’s authority and the challenges faced in carrying out its supervisory function over investigations. The method used is normative juridical, employing statutory and conceptual approaches, supported by empirical data obtained through interviews with personnel from the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Bali Regional Police. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive, evaluative, and argumentative. The results of the study indicate that Bagwassidik plays a strategic role through its supervision and evaluation functions during case presentations (gelar perkara). However, its implementation is hampered by vacant positions, limited personnel, weak coordination, and administrative issues such as incomplete documentation and sudden scheduling of case presentations. This research recommends the digitalization of administrative processes, strengthening institutional structures, and fostering a more collaborative culture to support the effectiveness of investigation supervision.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high work pressure experienced by employees in carrying out administrative tasks and health services, which triggers job stress and conflict between work and family roles At Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Badung. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of workload on job stress with work-family conflict as a mediating variable among employees at the Badung District Health Office. This study employs a quantitative approach using path analysis with SPSS version 25. The sample consists of 73 civil servants selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, as well as preliminary observations and interviews to support initial understanding of the field phenomenon. The results show that workload has a positive and significant effect on job stress. Work-family conflict also has a positive and significant effect on job stress. Furthermore, work-family conflict partially mediates the relationship between workload and job stress. These findings support the Job Demands-Control Model, which suggests that high job demands without adequate control can increase job stress. Therefore, it is important for organizations to pay attention to workload distribution and to create a balance between job demands and employees' personal lives in order to reduce job stress levels.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of brand awareness in mediating the influence of beauty vlogger credibility on buying interest in Axis-Y skincare products. The phenomenon of increasing use of social media, especially YouTube, has made beauty vloggers one of the main sources of information in the beauty field. One of them is Suhay Salim, who is known to have a large following and product review content. However, the low interest in buying Axis-Y products even though it has been reviewed shows that there are other factors that influence, one of which is brand awareness. This study uses a quantitative method with path analysis and Sobel test techniques. The research sample of 100 respondents who met the criteria had watched Suhay Salim's video about Axis-Y but had never bought the product. The results of the study show that the credibility of beauty vloggers has a positive and significant effect on brand awareness and buying interest. In addition, brand awareness has been proven to mediate the indirect influence of beauty vlogger credibility on buying interest. These findings show the importance of the role of beauty vloggers and brand awareness in increasing consumer buying interest.

Abstract

Sexual violence crimes have become a significant concern in Indonesian society, particularly in tourist destinations like Bali, where cases involve both domestic and international victims. Despite existing legal frameworks, the investigation of sexual violence crimes in Bali faces numerous obstacles that may hinder effective law enforcement and the delivery of justice. This study aims to analyze the implementation role of police investigators in handling sexual violence crimes within the Bali Police jurisdiction and to identify the obstacles encountered during the investigation process. This research employed an empirical legal research method using qualitative descriptive analysis. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with investigators from Sub-directorate IV of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Bali Police, field observations, and document analysis. The investigation process follows established legal procedures, including report reception, case administration, witness examination, evidence collection, arrest, search, seizure, suspect examination, and case completion. Key obstacles identified include internal factors (such as language barriers with foreign victims and limited specialized training) and external factors (including uncooperative victims due to trauma, lack of witnesses and evidence, delayed reporting, and challenges with victims having special needs). The findings highlight the need for enhanced training programs for investigators, improved victim support services, and strengthened inter-agency coordination to effectively address sexual violence crimes in diverse jurisdictional contexts.

The population in this study consists of people in Denpasar City with a minimum education level of high school or equivalent who have visited and purchased products at Warung Kopi Jenar at least twice within six months. The sample selection method used was judgment sampling, with a total of 120 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this study was PLS-based SEM. The results show that store atmosphere and service quality have a positive and significant effect on both customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Mediation analysis indicates that store atmosphere and service quality affect customer loyalty through customer satisfaction. The theoretical implications of this study reveal that store atmosphere and service quality influence customer loyalty not only directly but also indirectly through customer satisfaction as a mediating factor. Practically, these findings provide strategic insights for the managers of Warung Kopi Jenar regarding the important role of customer satisfaction in mediating the influence of store atmosphere and service quality on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of electronic business licensing policies at the Bangli Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP). This research focuses on three main aspects: the policy implementation process, the challenges faced, and the efforts made to improve the quality of business licensing services through the Online Single Submission – Risk Based Approach (OSS-RBA) system. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, employing in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings show that although the OSS-RBA policy has been implemented, it has not achieved optimal results. Key challenges include low digital literacy among the public, limited IT infrastructure, uneven technical capacity of human resources, and a lack of integration between national and regional licensing systems. In response, DPMPTSP Bangli has undertaken several initiatives, such as providing OSS assistance services, in-house technical training, and developing digital-based public communication. The study concludes that the successful implementation of OSS-RBA is highly dependent on technological readiness, bureaucratic competence, and effective inter-agency coordination.

Abstract

Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) is one of the government’s programs aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the provision of interest subsidies to KUR channeling institutions and guarantee fees to guarantee institutions. One of the institutions that provides guarantees for KUR is PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo). As a guarantor, PT Jamkrindo plays a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability of the KUR program, particularly by facilitating financing for MSMEs that are feasible but not bankable—those that are commercially viable but unable to meet conventional lending requirements such as collateral. However, in practice, many KUR loans face repayment issues and fall into the category of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs). This study aims to analyze the KUR guarantee mechanism and the settlement of NPLs by PT Jamkrindo Denpasar Branch Office. The research employs a normative legal method with a statutory and legal theory approach. The findings indicate that PT Jamkrindo applies an indirect guarantee scheme based on Conditional Automatic Cover (CAC). Nevertheless, the mechanism for subrogation or transfer of claim rights after claim payment lacks strict sanctions for KUR channeling institutions that fail to transfer these rights to Jamkrindo. This regulatory gap may result in financial losses for PT Jamkrindo and create an additional fiscal burden for the state.

Abstract

The execution of civil court decisions is a decisive stage in the enforcement of justice and serves as a test of the effectiveness of the judicial system. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the execution of civil judgments at the Semarapura District Court using an empirical juridical approach. The results show that although the legal basis and execution procedures are clearly regulated, their implementation in practice still faces various obstacles. Data from 2022–2024 indicate that only a portion of execution requests are successfully implemented, while the rest fail or are withdrawn due to structural, substantial, and cultural barriers. Key challenges include the limited number of bailiffs, insufficient supporting facilities, unclear court orders, changes in the status of disputed objects, and strong community resistance rooted in local customs and kinship values. The Semarapura District Court has made several efforts, such as increasing coordination with security forces, involving community leaders, providing bailiff training, and digitizing administration. Ultimately, the effectiveness of execution depends on the synergy between legal substance, institutional structure, legal culture, supporting facilities, and the level of legal awareness in society. Multi-stakeholder collaboration is needed to ensure that law enforcement through civil execution is effective, fair, and socially harmonious.
