Jurnal Bastra (Bahasa dan Sastra)
JOURNAL BASTRA (Language and Literature) is a publicly accessible journal published by the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Halu Oleo University. This journal is published four times a year, every January, April, July, and October. This journal contains the results of research (field or literature studies), theoretical studies, and critical studies covering several areas of study as follows. Indonesian language education includes studies on linguistic learning, phonology learning, morphology learning, syntax learning, semantic learning, pragmatics learning, discourse learning, sociolinguistic learning, and psycholinguistic learning. Indonesian literature education includes studies on poetry learning, fiction prose learning, and drama and film learning. Indonesian, includes studies on linguistics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse, sociolinguistics, and psycholinguistics. Indonesian literature includes studies on poetry, prose fiction, drama, and film with a structural approach, stylistics, semiotics, sociology of literature, psychology of literature, psychoanalysis, literary ecology, deconstruction, philology, phenomenology, feminism, literary reception, and literary anthropology.

The aim of this research is to describe the characters contained in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa by Sari Setyorini using Singmund Freud's theory. The form of this research is qualitative research. This research approach is a psychoanalytic approach. The data for this research are characters and characterizations related to id, ego and superego in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa by Sari Setyorini. This research data collection technique uses reading and writing techniques. The data analysis technique in this research uses content analysis techniques. The results of research in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa found 22 data consisting of 13 ids, 4 egos and 5 superegos, based on the results obtained in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa it can be concluded that the id, ego and superego are not balanced, in the data It was found that the ID in the drama script was more dominant than the ego and superego. Because the id element in the characters in the drama script Narasi Hati Echa by Sari Setyorini is more dominant, so they act distantly and come out of the id and kill.

This research aims to determine the influence of the Peer Teaching Method on the Negotiation Text Writing Ability of Class X Students of SMA Negeri 8 Medan. The population in this study were all class X students, totaling 280 students. The sample in this study consisted of 70 students in two classes with 35 students each in the control class and 35 students in the experimental class. This research uses an experimental method with a two group posttest research design that uses quantitative research. The research instrument used was an essay test. The results of this study show 1) The ability to write negotiation texts for class 2) The ability to write negotiation texts for class Thus, it resulted that the experimental class score was higher than the control class score. Based on the results of the t test, the value obtained t = 3.75 and then this value was consulted at the significant level α = 0.05 and n = 35, obtained t table = 1.68. Based on these results, it was concluded that tcount>ttable with a value of 3.75>1.68, so that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence on the use of the Peer Teaching Method on the ability to write negotiation texts in class X SMA Negeri 8 Medan.

The aim of this research is to describe forms based on references used by Mobile Legends players. This research uses qualitative research. This research data is in the form of words or phrases containing swear words based on the form of condition references, references to animal names, references to body parts, references to kinship, references to professions, references to activities, references to spirits, and references to objects. The data source used in this research is speech in the comments column that contains swear words, which has been provided by Moonton. The form of speech is taken from comments in the photo album provided, and also the message column in the Mobile Legends game. The data collection technique in this research is documentation in the form of listening and note-taking techniques. The data collection instrument used was the researcher himself. This research uses an extralingual matching method with a continuous contrast comparison technique. The application of the comparative technique in this research is that the researcher will compare the differences between the forms of swearing they use. In this case, data analysis is presented by describing the forms of swearing used by Mobile Legends Game Players.

Slang is informal, non-standard or unofficial language, which is seasonal, which is used for the internal needs of a particular social group with the intention of not being understood by people who are not members of that group. The aim of this research is to describe the form of slang among Korean-loving teenagers on the Twitter social network. This research uses language research methods, namely qualitative. This research data is in the form of speech in the BTS Fanbase Indonesia community which is classified according to the problem formulation created, namely regarding the form of slang language variations. The source of data obtained from this research comes from the stories of teenagers who love Korea in the BTS Fanbase Indonesia community on the Twitter social network. The data collection technique in this research is documentation in the form of listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The data collection instrument that researchers will use in this research is the researcher himself. In this research, the intralingual equivalent method is used, namely a method that refers to the meaning of elements in the language. In this case, data analysis is presented by describing the forms of slang variations used in the speech of Korean-loving teenagers on the Twitter social network

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the chain writing learning method on the skills of writing persuasive texts by class VIII students of Mts Nurul Islam Indonesia. The population of this study was all class VIII students of MTs Nurul Islam Indonesia, with a total of 64 students. The sample used was class VIII-2 students as a control class totaling 21 students and VIII-3 as an experimental class totaling 21 students. This study used an experimental method with a post-test only control group design. Data analysis was carried out using the control class and experimental class analysis requirements test, the normality test of the control class and experimental class and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the average post-test score in the control class was 52.85 which was in the very poor category, while the average post-test score in the experimental class was 80 which was in the good category. Based on the results of the study and the "t" test (4.27> 1.720), the null hypothesis (H_0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H_a) was accepted. The results of the study showed that the use of the chain writing method had an influence on the skills of writing persuasive texts by class VIII students of MTs Nurul Islam Indonesia in the 2023/2024 academic year.

This research aims to determine the development process, form and feasibility of descriptive text learning materials assisted by the Googlesite website for class VII SMP students. This research uses the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which has been modified according to research needs and limitations. The stages carried out in this research process are analysis, design and development. The product assessment was carried out by two experts, namely a material expert and a media expert. The results of this research are based on (1) analysis of student needs and analysis of teacher modules, (2) the form of material integrated on the Googlesite website, (3) validation results from material experts. This learning material has the status of "very suitable for use" with an average score of 2, 69 and a score percentage of 89.41%. Furthermore, the media validation results were "very suitable for use" with an average score of 1.91 and a score percentage of 94%. So from the results of the research that has been carried out it can be concluded that the material developed is valid and suitable for use as supporting learning material for descriptive texts assisted by the Googlesite website.

The type of media that can be applied is YouTube digital media in introducing Indonesian culture to BIPA students. This research aims to describe the implementation of YouTube media which contains Banyumasan Arts and Tourist Attractions in Indonesia in cultural learning for BIPA level A1 students at Thammasat University, Thailand. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research media. Based on research results, YouTube media is very effective in introducing culture to foreign students and makes it easier for teachers to convey learning material to foreign students, especially foreign students learning Indonesian, which is a second language. The benefits of using YouTube digital media are creating communicative, interesting learning, minimizing the translation process in learning, encouraging students to actively explore during learning, and being a stimulus that can improve language skills including listening, reading, speaking and writing.

Families that are unable to solve their problems and fulfill their obligations are called dysfunctional families. One of the real forms of dysfunctional families is divorce. Russia had the highest divorce rate in the world. This research aims to understand how family dysfunction is represented in the movie Нелюбовь (Nelyubov'). The review was conducted based on Donna F. LaMar's characteristics of dysfunctional families using Stuart Hall's Representation theory and and qualitative descriptive method. The research indicates that there are five main indicators of family dysfunction in the film Nelyubov’. These are: the absence or poor quality of interaction between family members; the failure to meet the individual needs of family members; the absence of clear values within the family; various forms of abuse and neglect; and the deep disruption of family responsibilities.

This study aims to determine the Effect of the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) Learning Model on the Ability to Summarize the Contents of Persuasive Texts of Class VIII Students of SMP N 4 Medan in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The population in this study were all class VIII students totaling 332 people. The sample consisted of 60 people divided into two classes, namely the control class of 30 people and the experimental class of 30 people. This study used a two group post-test design experimental method using a quantitative approach. The instrument used in this study was an essay test. The results of the study showed 1) The ability to conclude the contents of persuasive texts of class VIII students of SMP N 4 Medan in the 2024/2025 Academic Year using conventional learning models still did not meet the KKM determined by the school, the results obtained by students with the conventional model, namely an average of 66, were classified as sufficient. 2) The ability to conclude the contents of persuasive texts of class VIII students of SMP N 4 Medan in the 2024/2025 Academic Year using the STAD learning model got improved results with an average of 84 classified as very good. Thus, it can be said that the value of the experimental class is higher than the value of the control class. Based on the t-test, the significance level value of α = 0.05 and n = 30 was obtained, ttable = 2.045. Thus, it can be concluded that tcount> ttable, namely, 7.70> 2.045, so the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence of the use of the STAD learning model on the ability to conclude the contents of persuasive texts of class VIII students of SMP N 4 Medan in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

This research aims to explain oral literature, specifically the meaning of the Bejadi Keronggont custom of the Dayak Kerabat tribe in Sekadau Regency. In this case, the author analyzes the meaning of the Bejadi Keronggont custom. The research method used is descriptive, with a qualitative research form. The research approach employed is the anthropological approach to literature. Based on the research, marriage in the custom of the Dayak Karabat Penyapat sub-tribe is not merely a legalization of the relationship between a man and a woman to produce offspring, but also the formation of a new family as a micro social institution accepted by society with equal rights and obligations. Marriage reflects the independence of the couple getting married by establishing a new household, symbolizing the unification of two families, as well as indicating the growth and sustainability of the community. The marriage process consists of four customary stages that must be undergone, namely ngantar cincin, batunang or berambeh, kawent, and bejadi, all of which reflect the journey towards a legitimate marriage in the custom.
