Abstract

Objective: This research systematically investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to facilitate personalized learning pathways in Qur'anic education, focusing on phonetic accuracy (tajwid) and student engagement. The study aims to bridge the gap between traditional instruction and modern "precision pedagogy" through a synthesis of multidisciplinary evidence. Methodology: Adhering to the PRISMA protocol, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted on 25 high-impact, peer-reviewed studies. The analysis utilized the Input-Process-Output (IPO) framework to classify AI applications, ranging from Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT to Deep Learning algorithms like CNN and U-Net, adapted from precision medical technologies. Findings: The literature synthesis reveals that AI-assisted tactical instruction significantly outperforms traditional methods in improving phonetic precision and reducing "speech anxiety." Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) integrated with LLMs provide measurable, instantaneous feedback, while the anthropomorphic features of AI assistants enhance learning motivation. However, technical effectiveness is mediated by the Uncanny Valley effect and the digital literacy of religious educators. Implications: The results suggest that "Precision Pedagogy" can standardize Qur'anic learning globally without neglecting individual cognitive needs. Policymakers and Islamic institutions should prioritize AI ethical frameworks and data privacy, utilizing synthetic data to protect students' biometric voice identities. Originality: This study is among the first to adapt concepts from precision oncology and multi-omic integration into Islamic Education, proposing a novel "Qur'anic ITS" architectural model that balances technical precision with ethical-spiritual sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of knowledge in Islam through the lens of the Islamic worldview, arguing that the issue is crucial in an age where scientific development is often shaped by secular assumptions. Although previous studies have highlighted differences between Islamic and Western epistemologies, they have rarely explored how revelation and reason can be systematically integrated and operationalized within contemporary scientific and educational practices. Accordingly, this study asks: how does the Islamic worldview conceptualize knowledge, and how can this vision inform the development of modern science and society? Using a qualitative, library-based design, the research analyzes classical and contemporary works, journal articles, and conference papers related to epistemology, ontology, and Islam science relations. Data were collected through purposive literature selection and analyzed thematically, moving from conceptual mapping, comparison, and synthesis toward evaluative interpretation. The findings reveal that knowledge in Islam is simultaneously rational, empirical, moral, and spiritual rooted in tawhid and oriented toward human flourishing. The study contributes a more holistic framework for integrating revelation and reason and recommends future work on curriculum design, policy alignment, and applied models linking ethics, spirituality, and scientific practice.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper examines post-extractivism as a normative legal framework for shaping just energy transition pathways in tropical regions, with a particular focus on Indonesia. It aims to demonstrate how legal reform can move beyond extractivist development models by integrating social and ecological justice into energy governance. Methodology: The study employs a juridical-normative research method combining three complementary approaches. A conceptual approach is used to analyze post-extractivism and energy justice theories; a statutory approach examines Indonesia's energy and environmental legislation; and a comparative policy approach draws lessons from other tropical countries, particularly Latin American experiences with post-extractivist and just transition policies. Results: The findings reveal that Indonesia's current legal framework remains largely fossil fuel–oriented and inadequately addresses justice-based concerns in energy transition. Regulatory fragmentation, limited public participation, and weak protection of vulnerable communities persist. However, integrating post-extractivist principles into energy governance offers coherent legal pathways toward sustainability by embedding distributional, procedural, and recognition justice into energy law. Applications/Originality/Value: This study contributes to environmental and energy law scholarship by bridging post-extractivism, energy justice, and legal analysis within the context of tropical development. It offers normative and practical insights for policymakers in the Global South seeking to reconcile climate action with social equity and ecological sustainability, positioning post-extractivism as a conceptually robust and strategically urgent legal framework for just energy transitions.

Abstract

The 21st century's digital disruption, intensified mobility, and the resurgence of identity-based polarization have reconfigured the aims of education beyond cognitive achievement toward ethical agency, intercultural competence, and socially responsible citizenship. This article examines how Indonesian pesantren-Islamic boarding schools with a long tradition of moral formation-cultivate multicultural character and what lessons their value-based ecology offers for global educational development. Using library research, the study conducts a philosophical and conceptual content analysis of peer-reviewed scholarship, pesantren-related policy and curricular documents, and global education frameworks, especially Global Citizenship Education and Education for Sustainable Development. The synthesis indicates that pesantren operationalize multicultural character through (1) ethical-theological foundations such as rahmatan lil 'alamin and ukhuwah insaniyah, (2) communal pedagogies emphasizing exemplary leadership (uswah), habituation, and community learning, and (3) adaptive innovations that integrate digital literacy with moral restraint. These practices foster moderation, empathy, inclusivity, and civic responsibility-capabilities aligned with 21st-century learning agendas. The article proposes a Pesantren-Based Multicultural Character Education Model (PBMCEM) as a transferable conceptual framework. Implications are discussed for curriculum design, teacher formation, and policy, highlighting how localized religious-moral traditions can inform internationally relevant strategies for multicultural character education.

Abstract

The phenomenon of low literacy quality in Indonesia is a very urgent problem to be overcome, considering that literacy is a basic skill that is very important for every individual, especially students. Literacy not only includes the ability to read and write, but also includes the skills of critical thinking, analyzing, and understanding information. With low literacy skills among students, this hinders their ability to access the more complex knowledge needed in later education. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that affect the low quality of literacy in Indonesia and explore the development of innovative literacy teaching models that can be implemented in primary schools. In addition, this study also aims to provide recommendations for the development of education policies related to literacy. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data was collected from relevant scientific literature, including journal articles, reference books, and conference articles. The main focus of this study is the text-based and technology-based literacy teaching model, as well as its relationship with students' critical thinking skills. The analysis technique used is thematic analysis to identify patterns and trends related to the research topic. Based on the research that was found, the low quality of literacy in Indonesia is caused by several factors, including lack of access to quality teaching materials, limited resources, and lack of teachers' skills in using technology in teaching literacy. The use of digital technologies such as e-books and gamification-based learning platforms can increase students' reading interest and improve their literacy skills. Literacy teaching models that integrate project-based and text-based approaches have proven effective in improving students' understanding and skills in literacy. This study concludes that to improve the quality of literacy in Indonesia, there needs to be reforms in teacher training, with a focus on integrating technology in literacy teaching. Teaching models that combine technology and text-based methods can be an effective solution to address literacy challenges in Indonesia. This research contributes to the development of literacy-based education policies that are more relevant and applicable at the elementary school level.
