Abstract

PAI learning in schools still tends to be uniform and teacher-centered, so it is not fully able to accommodate individual differences of students. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, differentiated learning is a relevant approach because it is in line with the spirit of "independent learning" and Islamic values such as justice ('adl), compassion (rahmah), and responsibility (amanah). The purpose of this study is to examine the concepts, principles, and implementation of differentiated learning in PAI based on theoretical reviews and scientific literature, as well as analyze the relevance of this approach to the development of students' Islamic character and values. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach . Data was obtained from various written sources such as books, scientific articles, academic journals, and the results of previous research that discussed the concept of differentiation in the context of Islamic education. The results of the study show that differentiated learning in PAI can be applied through three main strategies, namely content, process, and product differentiation. This strategy allows teachers to adjust the material, methods, and forms of evaluation according to students' abilities and interests. Islamic principles such as justice, compassion, and responsibility become the theological foundation in its implementation, so that learning not only improves academic results, but also shapes the spiritual and moral character of students. The main obstacles to the implementation of this approach include the limitations of teacher competence, infrastructure, and the learning paradigm that is still teacher-centered. Therefore, continuous training, collaboration between educators, and learning innovations are needed to support optimal implementation. differentiated learning in Islamic Religious Education makes a significant contribution to the creation of an adaptive, humanist, and learning process based on Islamic values. This approach not only increases the effectiveness of learning, but also strengthens the purpose of Islamic education in forming a generation of faithful, knowledgeable, and noble character.

Abstract

The concept of ahl al-dzikr in the Qur'an is a normative as well as an epistemological category that functions as a reference for religious authorities in Islam. In the classical Islamic tradition, ahl al-dzikr is understood as a subject of knowledge that gains legitimacy through scientific competence, interpretation methodology, sanad transmission, and institutional recognition. However, the development of the digital space has significantly reconfigured the mechanisms of formation and legitimacy of religious authorities. Social media and online da'wah platforms encourage a shift in authority from a scientific basis to a visibility, performativity, and algorithmic basis, thus giving rise to an implicit redefinition of the meaning of ahl al-dzikr. This article aims to critically analyze the shift in the meaning of ahl al-dzikr in the digital era as a paradigmatic transformation of Islamic religious authority, not just a change in the medium of da'wah. This research uses a qualitative approach with a conceptual-critical design through a systematic literature study of normative-classical sources and contemporary studies of digital Islam. The analysis was carried out by integrating critical discourse analysis and contextual hermeneutics to read the tension between the normative meaning of the Qur'an and the practice of religious authority in the digital space. The results of the study show that the shift in the meaning of ahl al-dzikr has implications for the fragmentation of authority, the relativization of religious references, and the blurring of the boundary between scientific authority and religious popularity. Although the digital space opens up opportunities for wider religious participation, this condition poses epistemological and theological problems related to the legitimacy of religious authority. This article offers a rearticulation of ahl al-dzikr as an epistemological concept that remains rooted in Islamic scientific principles, as well as adaptive to digital reality, in order to strengthen responsible digital religious literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concepts of khouf and roja' thematically in the Qur'an, including their interpretation by exegetes, and to analyze the function of these two concepts as a spiritual basis for achieving emotional balance and peace of mind. In addition, this study also explains the relevance and application of khouf and roja' in the practice of mindfulness from an Islamic perspective, as a strategy for overcoming psychological and spiritual crises in the present day. Thus, this study is expected to contribute theoretically to the study of the Qur'an and Sufism, as well as practically to the development of mental health methods based on Islamic values. This study uses a qualitative method with library research. Data was collected through documentation techniques on verses from the Qur'an, tafsir books, and contemporary Sufism and psychology literature, then analyzed using a maudhū‘ī (thematic) interpretation approach. The results of the study show that khouf functions as moral awareness that fosters caution, self-control, and spiritual discipline, while roja' acts as a source of optimism, inner peace, and psychological resilience. The integration of the two forms an emotional and spiritual balance that is an important foundation in the Islamic perspective of mindfulness. Thus, Qur'anic mindfulness is not only oriented towards emotional regulation, but also towards strengthening faith and character building. This study concludes that the concepts of khouf and roja' are relevant to be developed as a holistic Islamic mindfulness model, which combines psychological well being and spiritual depth in facing modern life crises.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the integration of cash waqf with Islamic capital market instruments through the Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS) scheme in Indonesia, focusing on aspects of sharia legitimacy, management mechanisms, and its impact on the community's economy. Methodology: This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis and case study methods. Data was collected through a literature review of fatwas, regulations, implementation reports, and academic publications related to CWLS. Analysis was conducted descriptively and critically to evaluate the contract construction, implementation, and socio-economic impact. Results: CWLS successfully connects the Islamic philanthropic sector with state financing through sukuk, with the legal foundation of DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 131/2019. This instrument upholds the principle of the perpetuity of waqf assets through a state guarantee, while also generating social benefits channeled to the health, education, and MSME sectors. Applications/Originality/Value: This study provides an academic contribution to understanding the transformation of waqf from a conventional to a contemporary model, as well as offering policy recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and accountability of productive waqf management in Indonesia.

Abstract

Research aims to explore the process of internalizing the value of tazkiyah al-nafs of soul purification as a spiritual strategy in overcoming online game addiction in Muslim students. This study highlights how Qur'anic values such as sabr patience, muraqabah awareness of Divine supervision, and sincerity of sincerity are internalized in individual behavior to suppress addictive tendencies towards the digital world. This study uses a phenomenological qualitative approach combined with the method of thematic interpretation of al-tafsir al-mauḍhu'i. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. Data analysis uses Miles & Huberman's interactive model with the process of condensation, presentation, and drawing of conclusions. Data validation was carried out through triangulation of sources and methods, as well as member checking of participants. The results of the study show that the internalization of the value of tazkiyah al-nafs gives rise to complex spiritual dynamics, starting from the self-awareness of ma'rifat al-nafs, the struggle against the lust of mujahadah al-nafs, to the formation of new behaviors based on patience, sincerity, and self-discipline. Through a thematic interpretation approach to the purification verses, it was found that tazkiyah al-nafs functions as a psychospiritual mechanism that helps students control addictive emotions and behaviors. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the development of thematic interpretations based on Islamic psychology as well as a practical contribution in the form of a model of Qur'anic spiritual rehabilitation to deal with digital addiction among Muslim adolescents.

Abstract

Character education plays a crucial role in shaping students' social ethics and responsibilities, particularly within the context of school education. This systematic literature review analyzes studies from Scopus-indexed journals to assess the impact of character education on the development of moral values such as honesty, discipline, and responsibility among high school students. The review highlights various character education models, especially those grounded in religious values like Islam, which have shown positive effects on students' ethical behavior and social responsibility. Research indicates that schools implementing character education programs report significant improvements in students' social behaviors, such as increased pro-social actions and a reduction in negative behaviors. However, the implementation of such programs faces several challenges, including a lack of teacher training, limited relevant instructional materials, and difficulties integrating religious teachings into subjects like science and mathematics. Additionally, cultural diversity and time constraints are significant barriers to effective implementation. Despite these challenges, the empirical evidence suggests that when schools integrate character education effectively, it not only enhances students' academic performance but also fosters responsible, ethical individuals. The review also proposes strategies to overcome these challenges, emphasizing the importance of teacher training, curriculum integration, and the collaboration between schools, families, and communities. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how character education influences student ethics and responsibility and offers policy recommendations for enhancing its effectiveness in schools worldwide.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the concept of trust in the Qur'an as a foundation for strengthening the business ethics of digital startups that face challenges of trust, data management responsibility, and user privacy protection in the era of artificial intelligence. The research method uses a qualitative approach with thematic analysis of Qur'anic verses that discuss trust, complemented by a literature study on digital technology ethics and business practices of Indonesian startups. The results of the study show that the mandate in the Qur'an has three main dimensions, namely fulfilling the rights of others, maintaining the trust given, and maintaining spiritual and social responsibilities. The implementation of mandates in digital startups is realized through responsible management of user data, transparency of communication and promotion, and fairness in financial management and partnerships. This research makes a theoretical contribution by contextualizing the principle of trust from the perspective of the Qur'an as a normative ethical framework in the modern digital business ecosystem based on data and algorithms. The novelty of the research lies in the integration of Islamic values with the contemporary ethical challenges of digital technology, offering moral solutions that are universal but rooted in spiritual treasures. These findings are expected to be a practical guide for Muslim digital entrepreneurs in building businesses that not only pursue economic growth, but also uphold integrity, public trust, and blessings in every technology-based business activity.

Abstract

This article examines legal protection for members of Islamic savings and loan cooperatives in the event of default due to mismanagement, resulting in members being unable to withdraw their savings due to a lack of funds. The discussion focuses on the role of law in guaranteeing the restoration of members' rights and the need for legal certainty so that disputes do not drag on and do not only depend on the cooperative's internal mechanisms. The research uses a normative-empirical legal approach with qualitative analysis that links legal norms and institutional practices. The normative study is based on Law Number 25 of 1992 concerning Cooperatives and PermenKopUKM Number 8 of 2023, as well as the principles of muamalah in sharia economic law as an ethical and substantive framework. The analysis shows that, normatively, the management bears responsibility for losses incurred by the cooperative due to errors or negligence. However, the implementation of protection for members remains weak due to limited supervision, low transparency in reporting, weak auditing and administrative evidence, and the dominance of internal settlements that are not always independent. The absence of a cooperative deposit guarantee scheme increases members' legal uncertainty regarding their deposit rights and prolongs the recovery process. From a sharia perspective, this condition contradicts the principle of amanah and the objective of asset protection (hifz al-mal), thus requiring the strengthening of governance and accountability mechanisms. This article emphasizes the importance of effective supervision, adequate access to information for members, confirmation of management accountability, and enforceable dispute resolution mechanisms to ensure fair legal protection and certainty.

Abstract

The high potential for zakat in Indonesia cannot be separated from the obstacles to its collection. This study aims to analyze and compile various factors that hinder the collection of zakat in Indonesia based on the results of a literature review of various previous studies. The method used is a literature review by examining scientific articles, zakat institution reports, relevant academic publications in the period 2020-2025, as well as through interviews with relevant and knowledgeable sources on zakat issues in their surroundings. The results of the study show that low public awareness and literacy regarding zakat, lack of trust in Zakat Institutions, the quality of Amil human resources, uneven governance and infrastructure, legal obstacles, and the dual function of BAZNAS are the biggest factors hindering zakat collection in Indonesia. This research contributes to strengthening the national zakat collection strategy by emphasizing the importance of increasing public literacy and awareness of zakat, along with improving the quality of Zakat Institutions to strengthen public trust, and strengthening collaboration between the government, BAZNAS, and Zakat Institutions (LAZ) in Indonesia.
