Abstract

Language is a communication tool to convey one's wishes to someone else around the world with various characteristics. Arabic is the second most widely used international language, in learning it there are several obstacles that most people experience. Among them is the age factor, which affects memory when receiving lessons, health, mood, tuition fees, signals (for those who are online), distance, besides that it is also a factor in dividing time between family, study and work. In order to overcome this, supporting factors such as strong motivation during the learning process are needed. This is experienced by the ummahat Mahad Umar Bin khattab Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo, their azzam to be able to return to study at a young age, the underlying motivation for the ummahat in learning Arabic is to understand the Al-Quran and translate it well, as a provision for communication, educating their children, job demands, as a filler in free time, motivating peers, and realizing the ideals of youth to study in college. Highlights: Age challenges: Memory decline, health issues, and time constraints pose hurdles for Arabic learners, especially older individuals. Motivation: Strong desire to understand the Quran, advance careers, and fulfill personal aspirations drives learners to overcome obstacles in Arabic language acquisition. Ummahat's role: Mothers from Mahad Umar Bin Khattab Muhammadiyah University display determination to learn Arabic despite challenges, balancing family, education, and personal growth. Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between sense of community and performance among members of the Muhammadiyah Student Association in East Java. Employing a descriptive quantitative research method, data were collected from a population of 65 individuals using saturated sampling. Research instruments, derived from previous studies, demonstrated satisfactory validity and reliability. Results reveal a predominantly high sense of community among members, with 9.20% categorized as very high, 21.50% as high, 43.20% as medium, 20% as low, and 6.10% as very low. These findings underscore the importance of fostering a strong sense of community within groups, as it positively impacts individual and collective performance, thus offering valuable insights for community development and organizational management. Abstract

BTQ learning is directed to improve students' ability to read and write the Qur'an well, understand the content of the verses of the Qur'an, and be able to write it with good and correct writing. The function of learning to read and write the Qur'an (BTQ) functions, among others, is to develop the ability of students to read and write the Qur'an. Encourage, guide, foster willpower and passion. Embed understanding, understanding, appreciation and practice the content of the verses of the Qur'an in the behavior of students everyday. Providing knowledge to take education at a level that is more than one level. BTQ subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Gempol aim that students have the ability to read and write the Qur'an well, apply the rules of recitation in reading the Qur'an, memorize short letters in the Qur'an, write verses - verses of the Qur'an with good and correct writing. The aim is to encourage and encourage students or children easily, now they are more active in learning and understanding BTQ lessons. Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between familial social support and psychological well-being among students at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. Despite the significance of social support in enhancing well-being, gaps persist in understanding its impact on university students. The aim is to address this gap by examining the correlation between family social support and psychological well-being among students. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected from 263 active students through nonprobability sampling. Analysis involved Pearson product-moment correlation with SPSS 25. Findings revealed a significant positive correlation (p = 0.019), indicating that higher familial support enhances psychological well-being. The study also yielded an R-squared value of 0.021, suggesting that 2.1% of psychological well-being variance is attributed to social support. Most students exhibited moderate levels of familial social support (51.3%) and psychological well-being (61.6%). Implications include the importance of family support in promoting students' well-being, highlighting the need for interventions to strengthen familial bonds and support systems to enhance student mental health and academic performance. Study recommends interventions to bolster familial bonds for student resilience. Abstract

The study aimed to explore the relationship between self-efficacy and academic achievement during the pandemic among students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Self-efficacy, representing belief in one's ability to manage tasks, and academic achievement, denoting knowledge mastery, were assessed. Utilizing a correlational quantitative approach, data from 345 students were collected through Likert scale-based psychology assessments. Analysis via Pearson Product Moment correlation revealed a significant positive relationship (r = 0.431, p < 0.05) between self-efficacy and academic achievement. The findings imply that higher self-efficacy corresponds to increased academic performance, emphasizing the importance of self-belief in educational outcomes. Abstract

The phenomenon of low problem-focused coping among students working on their thesis highlights a gap in their ability to effectively address challenges. This correlational quantitative study aims to explore the relationship between optimism and problem-focused coping among psychology students at Muhammadiyah University, Sidoarjo. Using data from 165 students, collected through Likert scale-based measures of optimism and problem-focused coping, the study found a significant positive correlation (rho = 0.416, p < 0.001) between optimism and problem-focused coping. This suggests that higher levels of optimism correspond to higher problem-focused coping abilities. The implications of this research extend to both students and thesis supervisors, emphasizing the importance of promoting problem-focused coping strategies during thesis preparation. Additionally, the findings serve as a reference for researchers interested in further investigating problem-focused coping among thesis students. Abstract

This study investigates the factors contributing to pending claims at Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital, focusing on work ability, performance, and work motivation among casemix officers. Conducted from May to July 2023, the research utilizes a descriptive quantitative approach with a sample of 342 pending hospitalization claim files. Findings reveal that code discrepancies, incomplete membership administration, and service discrepancies are the main causes of pending claims. Results show significant relationships between motivation and performance, ability and motivation, and performance and work ability of casemix officers, influencing pending claims occurrence. Lack of training and mismatches between job requirements and qualifications also contribute. The study underscores the importance of monitoring and evaluation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous training for casemix officers to mitigate pending claims, thereby enhancing the efficiency of health care services. Abstract

This study investigates the preferences and obstacles faced by Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) accounting students in using digital wallets. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Results reveal that ShopeePay was the preferred choice due to its necessity for online shopping, followed by DANA for its affordability in mobile top-ups. Technical obstacles, such as transaction troubles and application errors, were encountered by some students. These findings highlight the importance of addressing technical issues and promoting awareness of digital payment security to facilitate smoother adoption of digital wallets among accounting students. Abstract

This study investigates patient perceptions of the marketing mix and its impact on loyalty at Muhammadiyah Probolinggo Mother and Child Hospital. Through quantitative analysis of questionnaire responses, the study explores the relationship between patient perceptions and loyalty, employing observational survey methods. Findings reveal that patient perceptions, particularly of service quality, place, and tariff, significantly influence loyalty. While there's a positive perception of the marketing mix overall, areas like promotion need improvement. The study underscores the importance of understanding patient perceptions to enhance loyalty and suggests strategies for hospital management to improve patient experience and foster loyalty, contributing to healthcare service quality enhancement. Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the teaching methods used by English teachers in three Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools in Pasuruan Regency to enhance students' speaking skills. Interviews and observations were conducted with one English teacher from each school. Results reveal that teachers employ a variety of methods including Communicative Language Teaching, Discussion Method, and Total Physical Response, adapting them to address specific teaching challenges and student needs. The study suggests the importance of creating engaging learning environments and utilizing diverse teaching strategies to improve students' speaking abilities, offering valuable insights for English language educators to enhance their teaching practices.
