Abstract

One of the potential resources in Indonesian villages is in the fisheries sector, which are divided into two main categories: capture fisheries and aquaculture. One of the common species for aquaculture in Indonesia is milkfish (chanos chanos). Pangkah Wetan Village in Gresik Regency is one of the areas that has the potential or value for milkfish aquaculture, which is influenced by the majority of the population who have a livelihood in the fisheries sector and because milkfish is relatively easy to cultivate due to its fast growth. In order to explore the potential for milkfish aquaculture, this research was carried out through an analysis of the market system approach. The productivity of milkfish aquaculture is determined by the optimization of its support functions. It was discovered that the cause of the low productivity of milkfish aquaculture was due to limitations in supporting services, not in the actors. The basic causes of this productivity include various seedlings quality, limited artificial feed, low utilization of technology, low access to capital, low marketing levels, and the minimal role of related institutions. Hence systemic intervention is necessary in terms of support services in order to improve the welfare of the community which in turn will increase the income of farmers.

Abstract

QRIS is a digital payment system innovation standardized as a national QR code in Indonesia. This paper analyzes the National Open API and Maqasid al-Sharia standards within the QRIS digital payment system. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology, the study determined that Bank Indonesia formulated three National Open API standards: governance guidelines, data standards with technical specifications, and technical and safety standards. Aligned with Maqasid al-Sharia, the analysis reveals a significant correlation between QRIS and its core tenets, specifically Hifz ad-Din (safeguarding religion) and Hifz al-Mal (preserving wealth). Moreover, viewing maqasid as a methodological framework, QRIS is deemed a legal and halal system conforming to maqasid. This topic can be examined from five dimensions: the payment system's alignment with Sharia law, its widespread use among traders (urf tujjar), the contractual adherence (ijab qabul) to Islamic sharia and user benefits, the reflection of service value in QRIS service fees, and mutual advantages for both parties. Regarding maslahah, QRIS falls under dzanni maslahah, necessitating its implementation to be entrusted to contemporary mujtahids for the continued benefit of users.

Abstract

As digital transformation progresses, listed Chinese firms are undergoing significant changes in their practices. These changes are crucial for establishing and maintaining a competitive advantage. This research investigates the process by which digital transformation affects firms' capacity to innovate, specifically focusing on the influence of government subsidies. The data was obtained from 1,063 publicly traded in China from 2018 to 2022 with a total of 4,027 data points. A fixed-effects model, stepwise regression analysis, and bootstrapping techniques were employed to construct the models. To address the conventional quantitative constraints and provide a nuanced comprehension of digital transformation's influence, this study uses textual analysis. Research has shown that digital transformation has a substantial positive impact on the ability of companies to innovate. Additionally, government subsidies are proven to have a role in facilitating this process. This paper offers a fresh viewpoint on comprehending the mechanism of government subsidies for digital transformation and corporate innovation capability. It also provides evidence supporting the idea that government subsidies may enhance innovation incentives more effectively.

Abstract

XYZ Apartment Bandung has 12 departments located from the lobby floor to the fourth basement floor. The apartment has an office layout that is not yet optimally arranged, such as the placement of departments that are far apart, ineffective handling of goods, and the risk of work accidents. The purpose of this study is to improve the existing layout so that the comparison results can be seen between before and after the improvement. A survey of 56 employees and managers was conducted to gather data on department relationships. The ARC (Activity Relationship Chart) method was employed to analyze these relationships and inform layout optimization. Based on the results of the analysis, there was a change in department placement that resulted in an efficiency of travel distance of 64.3% and time efficiency of 64.4%. The findings emphasize the importance of optimizing workspace layout to enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. Implementing the proposed layout changes can lead to cost savings, increased productivity, and improved employee well-being within XYZ Bandung Apartment.

Abstract

The adoption of beef cattle crop-livestock integration system (SITT) innovations in North Minahasa Regency still faces various obstacles. As a result, beef cattle development tends to experience a decline in population, productivity, and competitiveness. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors influencing farmers' attitudes and adoption of SITT technology innovations for beef cattle in North Minahasa Regency. Mixed-method research was conducted from March to May 2024, where 25 extension agents and cattle farmers were selected purposively. The variables used were farmer characteristics, extension worker performance, nature of innovation, communication channels, attitudes, and farmer adoption of SITT. Data analysis used the Spearman rank method. The study revealed a strong correlation between extension worker performance and the nature of innovation on farmers' attitudes and SITT adoption. In contrast, communication behavior exhibited a negligible impact. These findings underscore the critical role of extension agents in facilitating technology adoption. To maximize the effectiveness of extension programs, efforts should focus on enhancing extension worker capabilities and creating innovative solutions tailored to farmers' needs.

Abstract

Circular Economy (CE) offers an alternative to the linear economy (take-make-dispose) by adopting a make-use-recycle approach. While CE practices have primarily focused on technological and manufacturing changes, large businesses can more easily implement these practices due to their resources. However, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often struggle with CE implementation due to limited resources, particularly funding. FinTech Crowdfunding, especially donation-based (social crowdfunding), presents a viable funding alternative for SMEs. This research aims to develop a theoretical model using the Willingness to Participate Theory and the AIDA model for understanding and promoting CE practices among SMEs through the use of social crowdfunding. A survey was conducted with 69 SME actors. The research findings have led to the development of a model incorporating three key determinants: funding resources, community engagement, and entrepreneurial spirit. These factors are identified as antecedents that significantly influence SME awareness and willingness to adopt CE practices. The proposed model highlights how these elements can enhance SME participation in Indonesia. This model can serve as a foundation for future research in this area.

Abstract

In this era of digitalization, everything has changed, especially in the payment system. The payment system most often used in businesses involves barcode scanning, and this trend is skyrocketing. This research aims to test and analyze the effect of barcode scanning payment systems on customer satisfaction in Indonesia and India, focusing on systems such as QRIS in Indonesia and BharatQR and UPI QR in India. This study is quantitative research. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents in India and 57 respondents in Indonesia, totaling 107 respondents. The independent variables are ease of use, trust, efficiency, usefulness, and safety, while customer satisfaction is the dependent variable. The data was analyzed using SPSS. The results exhibit that efficiency and security significantly impact customer satisfaction, while ease of use, trust, and usefulness do not affect customer satisfaction. These findings enrich the theory of customer satisfaction and provide valuable suggestions for financial regulators.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors that influence employee performance, namely personal factors, leadership, co-worker factors, work facilities, and work environment. This study uses a quantitative explanatory approach with primary data obtained from a survey with a questionnaire. The population in this study were all employees in North Maluku Province. The sample in the study came from two agencies, namely the Communication, Informatics, and Code Agency and the Transportation Agency of North Maluku Province, totaling 103 people. The data analysis technique used multiple regression with the help of SPSS software. The findings indicate that personal factors and leadership positively influence employee performance, with improved individual attributes and effective leadership leading to enhanced performance outcomes. Conversely, the presence of a larger number of co-workers was found to negatively affect performance, potentially due to role ambiguity and reduced accountability. Additionally, work facilities and the work environment did not significantly impact employee performance. The results emphasize the importance of focusing on personal and leadership development to boost employee effectiveness while addressing co-worker dynamics to maintain clear roles and responsibilities. Future research should further investigate these relationships to refine strategies for organizational performance improvement.
