Abstract

The global market's increasing dynamism and competitiveness push businesses to expand beyond national borders, aiming to enhance domestic and international competitiveness. This study investigates the influence of competitive strategy on export performance through competitive advantage, moderated by firm age, within the Indonesian Export Channel (IEC) Community of MSMEs. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, data were analyzed using the SMART PLS statistical method. The findings reveal that competitive strategy significantly enhances competitive advantage, which in turn positively impacts export performance. However, the direct effect of competitive strategy on export performance was found to be negative and insignificant, suggesting that competitive strategy alone is insufficient to drive export success. Firm age significantly moderates the relationship between competitive advantage and export performance, highlighting the importance of considering firm-specific characteristics in strategic planning. This research underscores the need for MSMEs to adopt innovative approaches tailored to market demands, aligning competitive strategies with their competitive advantages to overcome barriers and achieve sustainable growth in export markets.

Abstract

The tax authority performs tax audits to increase revenue and ensure that taxpayers carry out their tax obligations properly. During the tax audit, there could be a dispute between the taxpayers and the tax authority in interpreting the tax treaty. This paper discusses the dispute over the results of the tax audit conducted by the tax authorities. By using the method of tax court cases in Indonesia, the interpretation of the tax treaty between Indonesian and China cannot be based solely on text. Other sources are needed, such as the UN model and its commentary, and the domestic income tax regulations of the source country. Using some materials to interpret the treaty can prevent tax reduction and tax evasion. The results found that the tax treaty between Indonesian and China only mentions the tax credit method to avoid double taxation, whereas in this case, it is better to use the tax exemption method to avoid double taxation.

Abstract

Online grocery stores are becoming more popular than ever. As the number of consumers of online grocery stores increases, understanding e-loyalty in this context is pivotal. Despite its growing importance, e-loyalty in online grocery shopping is a less explored area in expanding e-commerce literature. The purpose of this research is to examine and understand the mediating role of e-satisfaction on e-loyalty in context of online grocery shopping. Predictors (convenience, merchandising, site design, and financial security) identified in Szymanski and Hise’s e-satisfaction model are used to further extend the model by examining their relationship with e-loyalty through mediation from e-satisfaction. The proposed model was tested on a sample of 351 online shoppers through the database of two large online grocery stores in Pakistan. The results were measured through regression analysis. Findings suggest that there is no significant relationship between any of the variables under study. Moreover, the mediating effect of e-satisfaction on e-loyalty was also not found. The results indicate significant contribution in three main areas: provides new insights for understanding e-loyalty, rejects Szymanski and Hise’s e-satisfaction model in the context of online grocery shopping, and validates findings of previous researchers who had suggested distinguish nature of online grocery shopping. Managers need to adopt different strategies for online grocery shopping due to the perishable and variable nature of the products. Some other variables can also be added to the model, such as e-trust and e-service quality, to further validate the research model.
