Abstract

Environmental issues have been under discussion for the last few years in various countries. The world, including Indonesia, has become more polluted and stakeholders are busy looking for solutions to maintain biodiversity. This research analyzes the performance of coal subsector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from the perspective of sustainability development goals. The population in this study is 22 coal subsector companies, which the coal subsector is the largest mining sector in Indonesia and it contributes to several causes of environmental problems. The research method is carried out by scoring 17 indices of sustainability development goals. Data was taken from sustainability reports in the period 2021 and 2022. In-depth data analysis was carried out to correlate the score results with the indicators disclosed in the company's sustainability report. The results explain that the disclosure of sustainability reports containing 17 sustainability development goals indices has fluctuated in two periods between companies. A small number of companies still do not provide information regarding their sustainability programs and others do not fully disclose the 17 indices. The results of this research are expected to become a benchmark for stakeholders to evaluate mining sector companies in their sustainable environmental management attempts.

Abstract

Indonesian Banking Industry is one of the industries that remains strong in supporting national economic recovery during the Covid-19 pandemic. The firm value of banks in Indonesia has fluctuated during this period. The firm value can increase if it carries out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in addition, good corporate governance (GCG) will encourage companies to manage professionally. This research aims to reexamine the influence of CSR, GCG, and financial performance on firm value listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the banking sector. The method used in this research is a panel data regression analysis using secondary data obtained from financial statements and sustainability reports of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019-2023 period. The conclusion shows that financial performance variables with the Return on Assets (ROA) indicator significantly influence the company's value. Meanwhile, CSR and GCG do not significantly influence firm value. The results of this research indicate that although ROE is an important financial performance indicator, investors may pay more attention to other indicators that are considered more relevant in determining company value, such as Return on Assets (ROA).

Abstract

Good audit quality can improve the quality of financial statements and the trust of the  users. This study aims to analyze the effect of Audit Fee (FEE), Audit Tenure (TNR), Audit Rotation (ROT), and Public Accounting Firm Reputation (RPT) on Audit Quality (QLT) and analyze the effect of the Audit Committee (CMT) in moderating FEE, TNR, ROT, and RPT on QLT. The research sample used purposive sampling method in financial sector service companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2022 and there were 36 companies with 216 data. The data analysis method used SPSS 25 and Eviews 13. The results showed that FEE and ROT had no effect on QLT. TNR has an effect on QLT. RPT has a negative effect on QLT. CMT strengthens the effect of TNR on QLT. CMT cannot moderate the effect of RPT on QLT. The novelty of this research is that it modifies the audit committee measurement from previous research. This research has implications for financial sector service companies so that the Audit Committee in appointing Public Accounting Firm should consider the length of time Public Accounting Firm has been engaged with the same company in a row.

Abstract

The central government has moved to provide capital support in the form of village funds to every administrative area in Indonesia. According to ICW (2022), the entire budget allotted for village funding in 2022 will be IDR 68 trillion. According to Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) monitoring data from 2015 to 2022, there were 155 instances of village fund corruption, which caused state losses totaling IDR 381,947,508,605 (ICW, 2022). Village monies were deposited in regional accounts as a result of issues with village fund realization reports. By ensuring that village funds have a reporting system that adheres to the value for money standards, village funds will be spent as efficiently as possible. Qualitative descriptive writing is the style used. The blockchain that is being used has a transaction database as well as superior features like smart contracts and full information sharing between peers and outside, which can make it simpler for auditors to examine village money. In addition, this technology provides superior data distribution and security capabilities. Budget realization reports are made immediately by an accounting information system using data from a transaction database. The ideal usage and management of local funds are encouraged by this technology, it is hoped.

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze the external factors influencing the production and income of lowland rice farmers in South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, the study followed four stages: data collection, input, analysis, and interpretation. The research involved 50 farmers from the Sidomulyo District, with data gathered through questionnaires and interviews. The study identified key external factors affecting production, including land area (X1), seeds (X2), fertilizer (X3), pesticides (X4), and labor (X5). The production function was modeled as Ln Y = Ln 9.111 + 1.010 Ln X1 + 0.072 Ln X2 – 0.137 Ln X3 + 0.023 Ln X4 + 0.012 Ln X5, showing an increasing return to scale with a significance value 0.05. This suggests that greater use of these production factors enhances rice production. The analysis revealed a good income of IDR 10,592,864.74, with R/C and B/C cash ratios exceeding 1, confirming that lowland rice farming in South Lampung Regency remains profitable. The study concludes that external factors significantly impact rice production and income, with potential for increased profitability through optimized resource use
