Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the financial health of selected state-owned enterprises (SOEs) listed in the LQ45 index during the 2019–2023 period using the Altman Z-Score method. This approach combines five key financial ratios to assess the bankruptcy potential of firms. Secondary data were collected from annual financial reports and analyzed longitudinally and cross-sectorally. The results reveal that only PT Bukit Asam (PTBA) and PT Telkom Indonesia (TLKM) consistently remained in the safe zone (Z 2.99), while most other companies, particularly in the banking and infrastructure sectors, were classified in the grey or distress zones, indicating a significant bankruptcy risk. These findings highlight the financial resilience disparities across sectors within SOEs, despite structural support from the government. The study concludes that the Altman Z-Score model serves as an effective early warning tool for assessing financial risk, although sector-specific interpretation, especially for the financial services industry, is necessary. The implications suggest that corporate management should enhance operational efficiency, strengthen capital structure, and establish early warning systems based on financial ratios to improve long-term financial resilience.

Abstract

Bio-based plastic material is one of the non-fossil materials that gain popularity these days. This kind of material is made from renewable energy that helps to reduce the waste that impacts on the environment. Despite its popularity, this material procurement is also another challenge due to its rare manufacturers or suppliers and impacts the overall procurement cost and time consuming. This case study aims to evaluate and assess the impact of using bio-based plastic material in the manufacturing processes of baby products and its subsequent effect such as: productivity, quality, cost, product sustainability and the market acceptance at PT. XYZ. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative analysis of manufacturing productivity metrics with market trend analysis. Preliminary findings at PT. XYZ found that the use of biobased plastic material can reduce the manufacturing productivity due to its difficulty of processing and cost-effectiveness. This research concludes with a discussion on the implications of these findings and the solutions for manufacturers, marketers, and policymakers in the baby products industry, and suggests directions for future research improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Educational Attainment and Population Structure on Labor Absorption in Gorontalo Province. A quantitative approach was employed using multiple linear regression analysis with secondary data derived from nine observations, covering variables such as education level, demographic structure, and labor absorption. The results indicate that both Educational Attainment and Population Structure have a positive and statistically significant impact on labor absorption, both partially and simultaneously. The regression model shows an R² value of 0.855, indicating that 85.5% of the variation in labor absorption can be explained by the two independent variables. These findings suggest that improving the quality of education and effectively managing the productive-age population are key factors in enhancing regional labor absorption. The study concludes that integrated policies between the education and employment sectors, along with optimal utilization of demographic bonuses, are essential. It is recommended that local governments focus on increasing the competence of the workforce through education aligned with labor market needs, and expanding inclusive and sustainable employment opportunities.

Abstract

Promo codes are a prevalent digital marketing tactic employed in the e-commerce sector to enhance consumer acquisition and retention. Nevertheless, many research have cast skepticism on the enduring efficacy of promotional coupons, especially regarding their impact on diminishing customer turnover rates. This article offers a systematic literature review (SLR) derived from 123 scholarly papers spanning 2015 to 2024. The findings indicate that whereas promotional codes can enhance immediate customer acquisition, they negatively impact consumer loyalty when implemented without segmentation and loyalty measures. This analysis underscores the significance of a data-driven methodology and the integration of promotional codes with CRM systems to mitigate elevated attrition rates. This study employs various machine learning techniques, including Naive Bayes, Decision Trees, and k-NN. Consequently, k-NN with k=1 and Naïve Bayes produced the study's most favorable outcomes.

Abstract

This study conducts a bibliometric and scientific mapping analysis of Customer Trust research from 1985 to 2024, aiming to explore publication trends, key contributors, influential journals, and thematic developments. Using Scopus data and tools like VOSviewer, the findings reveal a steady growth in publications, with peak citation impact during 2019–2020, followed by a citation lag in later years. Analysis shows that research influence is more closely linked to quality than quantity, with the International Journal of Bank Marketing and Universiti Sains Malaysia emerging as leading contributors. Thematic mapping identifies three primary clusters—Digital Trust, Online Trust, and Perceived Value—all anchored by customer satisfaction as a central theme. These results demonstrate that Customer Trust has evolved into a dynamic construct shaped by technological innovation, online behavior, and perceived corporate value. Future research should integrate interdisciplinary approaches, emphasizing digital ecosystems, ethical practices, and corporate responsibility to deepen the theoretical and practical understanding of Customer Trust in a rapidly transforming digital landscape.

Abstract

This study analyzes the feasibility of implementing Work From Anywhere (WFA) for local government Civil Servants (ASN) in Indonesia by placing ergonomic risk as a mediating variable. Changes in the work landscape due to the COVID-19 pandemic have encouraged the adoption of flexible work models. Still, its implementation in the Indonesian public sector faces structural, cultural, and health risk challenges that have not been comprehensively studied. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 177 ASN respondents with prior Work From Home (WFH) experience during the pandemic, providing a relevant empirical basis for evaluating WFA. Data were collected through an online questionnaire based on a Likert scale, covering five main variables: supporting infrastructure, digital competence, organizational support, ergonomic risk, and perception of WFA feasibility. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the five hypotheses proposed, including the mediating effect of ergonomic risk. The results show that supporting infrastructure and organizational support have a significant positive effect on the perception of WFA feasibility. In contrast, digital competence and ergonomic risk do not significantly influence WFA feasibility

Abstract

Understanding cat behaviour is essential for fostering healthy human-cat relationships, but its inherent complexity frequently leads to misunderstandings. This study introduces Emeowtions, an innovative Android application employing artificial intelligence (AI) to decipher cat emotions and body language in real-time. Addressing market gaps for comprehensive tools, Emeowtions integrates the YOLOv8n object detection model with a custom-trained multi-label classification model for cat emotion and body language analysis. The custom model was developed based on the CRoss Industry Standard for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) framework and trained using transfer learning with MobileNetV3 on a custom curated dataset of annotated cat images. Built using the Waterfall methodology, the application allows users to obtain real-time, AI-driven insights via their smartphone camera. Beyond that, it provides a hybrid recommendation system suggesting tailored behaviour suggestions, a user feedback loop for model refinement, and a direct chat interface for veterinary consultations. Technical evaluation showed the AI model achieved a recall of 0.742. Overall, Emeowtions offers a valuable, practical tool that demonstrates AI's capability to reduce misinterpretations of cat behaviour, ultimately fostering healthier human-animal relationships and contributing to improved cat welfare.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial literacy and a hedonistic lifestyle on personal financial management and investment decisions among Generation Z. Using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling technique, data were collected from 172 respondents aged 17–27 who manage their own finances and have investment experience. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS 3.0, which included tests for measurement models, structural models, and hypotheses. The results show that financial literacy and personal financial management positively and significantly affect investment decisions. On the other hand, a hedonistic lifestyle has a negative and significant impact on both personal financial management and investment behavior. The study also found that personal financial management mediates the relationship between financial literacy and investment decisions, as well as between hedonistic lifestyle and investment decisions. These findings highlight the importance of financial education and lifestyle control in improving investment outcomes among Gen Z. Encouraging better financial knowledge and responsible money habits can lead to more effective and informed investment decisions.
