Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, and habit on continuance intention to use e-wallets among students of Universitas Islam Indonesia. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through the distribution of online questionnaires to 163 respondents, who are active students and e-wallet users. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results show that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, and habit have a positive effect on continuance intention to use e-wallets, with habit being the most significant factor. This indicates that the habitual use of e-wallets in daily activities is the main driver of continued usage, in addition to perceived usefulness, ease of use, and the enjoyable experience perceived by users. These findings suggest that the continuance of e-wallet usage is not only influenced by functional aspects but also by behavioral and user experience factors. This study contributes theoretically to the development of the UTAUT2 model in the context of university students in Indonesia and provides practical implications for e-wallet service providers to improve user retention through enhancing user experience and fostering usage habits.

Abstract

The present investigation seeks to analyze the impact of financial technology, e-commerce adoption, and entrepreneurial capability on the financial performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in North Sulawesi Province, considering both direct effects and indirect effects mediated by financial literacy and trust. A quantitative methodology characterized by a causal research design was utilized, employing a cross-sectional survey approach with a sample of 400 MSME participants selected via purposive sampling. The data were subjected to analysis through descriptive statistics and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), facilitated by the SmartPLS 4 software. The results demonstrate that financial technology, e- commerce adoption, and entrepreneurial competencies exert a positive and statistically significant direct influence on MSME financial performance, with financial technology identified as the most influential predictor. Additionally, financial literacy and trust were found to significantly mediate the associations between these three independent variables and MSME financial outcomes. The proposed model accounts for 60.3% of the variance observed in MSME financial performance. These findings highlight the critical necessity of enhancing fintech and e-commerce adoption, alongside fostering improvements in financial literacy and the trust of MSME actors in digital platforms, to maximize financial performance.

Abstract

Increasing competition among culinary MSMEs in tourist destinations requires business owners to understand the factors influencing consumers’ purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the effects of servicescape, service quality, and product quality on consumers’ purchasing decisions at culinary MSMEs in Padang Beach tourism area. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 86 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results indicate that service quality and product quality have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while servicescape has no significant partial effect. Simultaneously, servicescape, service quality, and product quality have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.779 indicates that the three independent variables explain 77.9% of the variation in purchasing decisions, while the remaining 22.1% is explained by other factors outside the research model. Product quality has the strongest relative influence, with a Standardized Coefficient Beta of 0.445.
