The findings suggest that agri-tech investments can improve productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and ensure food security during crises. This study provides policy recommendations for fostering agri-tech adoption and strengthening Nepal's agricultural sector in the face of future pandemics.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at MTSs Darussalam Sengon Jombang and its impact on student achievement. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The Merdeka Curriculum prioritizes freedom of thought and creativity, aiming to develop lifelong learners who embody the Pancasila student profile. Key factors supporting this implementation include strong leadership from the principal, teacher training workshops, and curriculum flexibility, which allows educators to adjust learning to meet student needs. However, this study also identified significant challenges, such as teachers' limited understanding of the curriculum and students' difficulties in adapting to the new independent learning method. The study concluded that while the Merdeka Curriculum has the potential to improve student performance, significant obstacles must be overcome to fully realize its benefits. The implementation process is structured into three interconnected stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation, with an emphasis on formative assessment during the learning process and summative assessment after completion of the material. Despite these efforts, this study shows that there has been no significant improvement in student academic performance, highlighting the need for further investigation into the challenges of implementing this curriculum.

Abstract

The active learning model is a strategy that puts students at the center of the learning process so as to encourage their direct involvement in understanding the material. This study aims to analyze the application of the active learning model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects and its impact on student motivation and participation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and document analysis techniques on teachers and high school students in the Padang area. The results show that the application of active learning models, such as group discussions, problem-based learning, and role-playing, is able to increase students' interest in learning and build critical and collaborative thinking skills. In addition, students are more enthusiastic in participating in learning because they feel they have a greater role in the learning process. Learning motivation increased along with active involvement in activities that encouraged the exploration of religious concepts in a more in-depth and applied way. Student participation has also increased significantly, shown by the activeness in asking questions, expressing opinions, and working together in groups. Thus, the active learning model in PAI not only improves conceptual understanding but also fosters an active and critical attitude in practicing Islamic teachings in daily life. Therefore, the application of the active learning model can be an effective alternative strategy in improving the quality of PAI learning in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Canva-based video media in improving learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMPN 1 Jogoroto. Video-based learning media help teachers deliver material more effectively, making lessons more engaging and enhancing students’ understanding and motivation. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews with teachers and students, as well as classroom observations. The results indicate that the use of Canva-based video media positively impacts PAI learning. Before its implementation, students were generally passive and less enthusiastic about lessons, especially due to the monotonous lecture method. However, after incorporating video media, learning became more interactive, students found it easier to understand the material, and they were more active in discussions and asking questions. Additionally, this media helped teachers create a more comfortable and engaging classroom environment. Despite challenges such as limited electricity access and teachers' readiness to operate digital learning tools, these obstacles can be overcome through school facilities and training programs for educators. Overall, this study confirms that Canva-based video media can be an effective alternative for enhancing learning quality, particularly in Islamic Religious Education.
