Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including the field of education. Information and communication technology has rapidly developed, influencing the way we acquire, process, and disseminate information. One relevant and important approach in this context is digital literacy-based learning. The integration of technology with Islamic religious education materials can have a substantial impact. For instance, in teaching Fiqih about the rituals of Hajj, teachers can utilize instructional videos that explain the sequence of manasik haji in detail or design simple interactive simulations to help students better understand the process. Meanwhile, for Aqidah and Akhlaq lessons, teachers can guide students to compose short sermons that encourage good behavior on social media, basing their arguments on relevant religious texts or verses. Students can then demonstrate their understanding by uploading these sermons to social media platforms. This study employs qualitative research methods. The data sources include direct observations at SMA Al Muslim Sidoarjo and interviews with key informants such as the principal, Islamic education teachers, and students. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The research findings indicate that: 1) The implementation of digital literacy in Islamic education learning involves several stages. The first is the planning stage, where teaching modules are prepared in line with the learning objectives. The second stage is the execution, which involves using the school's digital application (My-Al Muslim) to easily access necessary learning resources. The third stage is the evaluation process, where students are assigned tasks. 2) Supporting factors include the provision of facilities such as computers, LCD projectors, and WiFi. On the other hand, the inhibiting factor is the unstable internet connection.

Abstract

Learning about science (natural science) is related to various styles because students lack skills in the science process. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve these abilities as well as moral support from school teachers through Classroom Action Research (PTK). The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection instruments based on observer guidance, written tests, interview sheets. Then data analysis and validation to test the accuracy of the data that appears on the research object and the data submitted by the researcher so that valid data can be produced. The results of observations of teacher performance during teaching regarding various types of styles and students also still show passive behavior. Readiness of RPP (Learning Implementation Plan), Student Worksheets (LKS) and application of the Quantum Teaching model to improve students' science process skills in class V at SDN Ciparay II, Leuwimunding District, Majalengka Regency. Teachers have not been able to combine quantum teaching learning methods into the teaching and learning process, so they only reach 70%. In Cycle II, there was an increase of 10% compared to the previous cycle and almost completely. Meanwhile, for students from initial data to cycle II, there was consistent development showing that the improvements made in each cycle contributed to increasing students' science process skills. In cycle II, all students succeeded in achieving 88%.

Abstract

This research explains the environmental agency's advocacy to increase community participation in waste management in Padang City as well as the factors inhibiting the environmental agency's advocacy to increase community participation in waste management in Padang City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodology. Observations, interviews and documentation studies were used to collect data. Participants selected using purposive sampling included employees from the Padang City Environmental Service, Waste Bank Managers, and the community. To ensure the validity of this research data, source triangulation and method triangulation methods were used, and interactive models were used to analyze the data. The results of the research show that the environmental department has not done much to encourage people to become more involved in waste management in Padang City. Implementation of environmental policy advocacy to increase community participation in waste management aims to build awareness, change behavior and create policies that support effective waste management. Implementation of environmental policy advocacy uses various strategies, including educational outreach, formation of waste banks, collaboration with stakeholders, use of social media and mass media. The inhibiting factors for advocacy in increasing community participation in waste management in Padang City are lack of public awareness and knowledge, limited infrastructure and facilities, limited budget.

Abstract

The General Election Supervisory Agency (BAWASLU) has several limitations in achieving electoral justice technically, namely personnel limitations and the vast geographical scope of the supervisory area. Then the challenge becomes even more complicated in the simultaneous 2024 elections, which place digital media as the primary space for political campaigns. Also, in the policy of the Memorandum of Understanding for participatory oversight with the West Sumatra Editors' Network (JPS), 10 out of 16 JPS media outlets placed political advertisements on their respective websites or news portals, indicating that the media have political tendencies. The goal of this research is to examine the implementation of the policy and the news coverage it generates. The research method used is quasi-qualitative with a policy analysis framework. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and document studies with key informants from BAWASLU West Sumatra and JPS. In addition, this research is supported by the framing analysis method to see how the news in participatory oversight policies is framed and constructed to encourage active public participation in election oversight. The results of this study show the role of each institution, with BAWASLU West Sumatra playing the role of agenda-setting in news coverage by determining and providing information, while JPS constructs and publishes the news. Then, the results of the framing analysis show that the JPS media predominantly uses event frames (43%) and idea frames (43%), while the low figurative frame (14%) indicates the media's independence from political interests. However, the tone or mood of the news coverage is dominated by a hopeful tone (73.5%) compared to an advisory tone (21.8%), thus tending to build optimism rather than encouraging direct public participation. In general, this news pattern directs JPS more towards the public relations function of BAWASLU rather than the educational function to encourage active public participation in election supervision.

Abstract

This analysis aims to gather statistical data on the impact of using the YouTube media 'Arab Podcast' on the effectiveness of Arabic learning at MTs. Ali Imran Bandar Selamat. The study employs a true experimental design based on a pretest-posttest control group approach. It involves a sample of 58 participants divided into two groups: a specialized group (experimental) and a non-specialized group (control). The results of this analysis demonstrate a significant effect on the classes studying Arabic using YouTube as an instructional tool. The development of the mean scores for pre-test and post-test indicates significance in the specialized group (experimental). Utilizing YouTube facilitates students in mastering language skills in Arabic, such as listening (istima') and speaking (kalam). Based on statistical analysis, YouTube has proven to be an effective tool in Arabic learning, serving as a creative and innovative teaching aid.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Talaqqi method in the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at Riyadlus Sholihin Islamic Boarding School, as well as to evaluate its impact on memorization proficiency. The education of Tahfidzul Qur’an within Islamic boarding schools encounters numerous challenges, particularly regarding the adoption of effective teaching methodologies and the integration of technology to enhance students' memorization capabilities. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research focuses on the application of the Talaqqi method at Riyadlus Sholihin Islamic Boarding School. This methodological framework allows for a comprehensive exploration of the learning processes and the dynamics of interaction between educators and students. The findings of this study support the theory of active learning in the context of Qur'anic education, positioning the Talaqqi program as a highly effective strategy for Qur'anic memorization. This method transcends being a mere instructional technique; it embodies a pedagogical process that emphasizes the importance of quality interactions between educators and students, which are often vital for achieving successful outcomes in memorization. Moreover, this research not only reinforces the theory of active learning but also highlights practical applications pertinent to Qur'anic education, addressing the contemporary challenges and needs faced by students. It provides valuable insights for educators on effective strategies, advocating for the use of technology as a complementary tool while underscoring the critical role of personal interaction intrinsic to the Talaqqi method.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in creating social order and improving the quality of human resources. This study aims to analyze the effect of guided inquiry learning models on students' mastery of concepts in mathematics learning. The method used is a quantitative experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental group using the guided inquiry learning model and the control group using conventional methods. Data were obtained through pretest and posttest, with validity, reliability, and t-test analysis to test the hypothesis. The results showed that there was a significant difference in concept mastery between the experimental and control groups, with average values ​​of 84 and 72.33, respectively. The t-test results showed tcount = 3.957> ttable = 2.012, so the hypothesis was accepted. The biserial correlation coefficient of 0.650 indicates a strong influence, and the determination coefficient of 42.30% indicates that the guided inquiry learning model contributes to improving student learning outcomes. Thus, this model is recommended as an alternative learning method in improving students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Hafiz and hafizah in the Qur'an are interpreted as people who keep something good. This research aims to reveal the profile of hafiz and hafizah students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muslim Indonesia. This research is descriptive research with a total sampling design that takes the entire population that meets the sample criteria. The results showed that the data of regional origin of South Sulawesi province had the highest proportion of 73 people (74%). Based on gender, the data obtained from the male gender showed the lowest proportion of 23 people (23%), and the female gender showed the highest proportion of 76 people (77%). Based on the number of memorized juz, the data obtained for the number of memorized 30 juz was the highest proportion of 32 people (32%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the profile of hafiz and hafizah students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muslim Indonesia, based on the origin of the province with the highest proportion of South Sulawesi province, based on female gender shows the highest proportion, and based on the number of memorized juz, namely 30 juz as the highest proportion.

Abstract

This article aims to explore apophatic theology in the light of deconstructive hermeneutics, wherein the two are complementary approaches to understanding divine transcendence and the limitations of human language. With a qualitative approach, this article reads apophatic theology employing the hermeneutical theory of Jacques Derrida. This article found that apophatic theology emphasizes the inability of language to fully describe the nature of the Ultimate Reality or God through the approach of negation. At the same time, deconstructive hermeneutics, rooted in Derrida’s philosophy, focuses on the instability and limitations of meaning in language. This study has broad theoretical and practical significance. From a theoretical perspective, this study makes a new contribution to contemporary theological studies by showing how deconstructive hermeneutics can enrich the understanding of the methodology of apophatic theology. In particular, this study highlights how deconstruction helps reveal the creative dimension in the negation of apophatic theology, which is often seen as merely the elimination of meaning.

Abstract

Psychological well-being of santri is a crucial variable in supporting their overall well-being, educational success, and character development within the pesantren environment. The purpose of this study is to explore the diversity of Nahdlatul Ulama and Nahdlatul Wathan in relation to the psychological well-being of their santri. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method with a cross- sectional approach to assess the psychological well-being of students in both Nahdlatul Ulama and Nahdlatul Wathan pesantren. The population of this study, male and female students, with the sample comprising 334 santri using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using comparative tests with SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS to identify the aspects contributing positively to psychological well-being. The results reveal challenges such as academic pressure, lack of social support, interpersonal conflicts, and limited access to mental health services. An integrated approach is recommended to create a pesantren environment that fosters psychological well-being, enabling santri to thrive in various aspects of life.
